- The rest of the day was perfect but she didn't care for the cow licking lol. It's like being assaulted with wet sand paper noodle so that's understandable. We said goodbye to friends and headed to Amish country. We could do nothing but drive around and see the sights and be perfectly happy. It's so beautiful here.

I love Amish country. My husband and I had our honeymoon there in 2005. Stayed in Paradise. Went to Gettysburg, got an Amish handmade quilt for a keepsake/heirloom. ❤
I’m so excited my husband and I are taking the grandbaby on a trip and we’re going there we’re so excited I want to drive and see all the sites all the stores all the food I’m def buying a quilt and a cutting board I was looking online and I seen a few I want I also want to go to Amish store and buy tons of spices

I'm loving seeing this trip. Abbie is living her absolute best life. What 19 year old doesnt want a summer filled with their favourite things? It's also great to see just how independent Abbie is and how well she uses problem solving skills. All that therapy is paying off in bucket loads for her. Shut up I'm not crying I'm just cutting a really big onion.

Asa I got my hubby a blackstone grill for this Father's Day because of you lol. Do you have any recommendations for things to use with it? What do yall use to seasoning it, and what can't you live without while using it? Yall need to go visit the Amish village in Lancaster if you haven't yet. It's a must!! The jerkey they make is amazing and Cilla would love all the pickled stuff. Well never mind I should have waited til the end of the video lol. You already knew about the Amish Village. It's my favorite place to go when I go see my sister.

My daughter and I were driving in Ohio when we came upon a buggy for the first time. We were so excited we were screaming like little girls. We would wave at them and they would give us a really big smile back.
Too bad how the Amish treat their animals. However, I do sometimes desire the simplicity and community of their culture. It is quite a beautiful area as an upstate New Yorker.

my mom stays in a camp ground from ‘may to sept in lancaster. there’s an amish lady that comes with her children. she sells whatever goodies. my mom now gives her a list of things like pies, butter, bread etc. she delivers it to my mom on Saturdays 😂. by certain requests she knows when i visit or my sister. i live in brooklyn.

Amish auctions are the best. You can bid on beautiful home grown flowers and plants and produce, furniture, quilts, etc depending on the season. Plus there’s always people selling the most amazing baked goods. Restaurant supply companies will go sometimes to bid on local produce for their restaurants

If you are still in the Pa area, there is a store called Mapleholfe Dairy in Quarryville PA. Not far from Lancaster. They have the best chocolate milk we have ever had. We live in Baltimore and drive 1 1/2 hrs just for the milk.
It's fun watching Abby live her best life! Also, very impressed with her getting on and off the swing by herself and how she stopped it from swinging to get off.
It looks like this is one of y'alls best trips! Asa since Addie aced getting on & off the swing chairs, you're going to have to get one now! 🙃😊❤❤❤

A summer project for my mom and her five kids was making root beer. Ours was carbonated.
Pricilla is too cute with the goats. The company here in Monterey that makes root beer sells it carbonated. I would love to go through Amish country.
