dynamics, that's what you are lacking. The ability to swiftly transfe from the loud sound to the whisper and vice versa. Selena does does it better (yep, i've said a dumb thing for it'd been aoutotuned, pitch shifted and mastered at all, the live versions show the point of how different she sings it compared to a studio version)
changing the loudness makess much more emotional expression and therefore it hits the listener's soul much harder. You have a nice and pretty voice, i hope you'd be keeping on singing and making good song, just don't forget about singing technique and everything will be great.
