- Beautiful Day to be out in the woods. I wanted to get one last hunt in and get a catch and cook video for everyone. Red squirrels are unprotected animals in our state and there is no designated season or limit on them. You can shoot them anytime of the year. I cook this squirrel the traditional Hmong way.
I think I might try this skin on, version of squirrel, and make a carnivore soup with a bone broth. New subscriber🤙 Catch and cook vids always inspire me to try new things😁
That’s awesome! That sounds good! The skin, like anything else, I think gives the dish an added flavor and texture. The skin will be gelatinous but full of flavor.
Digging the sweater and got to love squirrel stew🤤🤤🤤
Thanks! I appreciate it a lot! Working on the apparel line this year also!
Love the catch and cook videos. I want to try this recipe when squirrel opens back up down here.
Thank you! Give it a try!
Your red squirrel looked different than the northeast/New England ones I see. Yours looked like a grey/ Red Cross. Our reds are about 1/2 the size of the greys.
Interesting recipe. Thanks foe the video.
That’s interesting! I’ll have to look into the reds from there. Thank you!
Garlic doesn’t carmelize. It burns.

So i don't want to be a dick because i know you have to consistently post videos but squirrel has been out of season for a while now. Im worried posting this video at this time will encourage poaching so just take care and think when you post things please
Red is fair game year round where he's at
I get what you're saying about other people maybe going squirrel hunting out of season but yes, Reds are an unprotected species here and can be taken at anytime year round.
First im hearing that reds fair game here, i thought they fell into the general squirrel season. I wish I knew sooner i would have been going out for them. Also a MN guy that's why i thought they were out of season
@@classy2329 I didn't know it either until a couple years ago from a brother from MN Team Harvest youtube channel brought it up to me. Reds are listed under the Unprotected Animals page in the regulations on page 26. Have fun shooting reds! They are everywhere and they are aggressive where I'm at and they chase out the grey and fox squirrels.
@@MNMadeAdventures thanks for letting me know, im just a little hard core about conservation is all. I was raised by a dnr employee who is both a ducks unlimited and rocky mountain elk foundation member for life. So that's all i was coming from.
