The problem was in fact me, I pulled too hard on the throttle to close it when I checked the idle speed. I did not know that the throttle has no hard stop and if you pull too hard you actually pull against the throttle body of the carbs. The hard pull made one of the cables slip just a tiny bit and that caused the Carb sync issue. Another Lesson Learned.

That plane sure seems to have a lot of engine problems. You should check your mechanic..
