- Our adventures through Italian American California continue, as we make our way up the West Coast to the entertainment capital of the world… America’s Dream Factory… the 500 square-mile beacon of Southern California’s timeless allure that is Los Angeles!
From a brief walk through the history of California wine, to one of America’s most unique monuments, to a night out at Hollywood's oldest Italian Restaurant, John, Rossella and Pat (along with some very special guests) are back and ready to serve as your official guides through the 5th largest Italian American community in the country.
There'll be lots of laughs, plenty of food, and some amazing history as we join the millions of people who’ve come to Hollywood hoping to claim their 15 minutes of fame and perhaps our very own star on Hollywood Boulevard!
Presented as a joint project from The Italian American Podcast and The Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA), and in association with Joe Minnella Studios LLC, we present Greetings From Italian America
Join us each month for a fresh look at one of the best parts of this country of ours… the Italian side!

Ciao amici! Excellent video guys! The Watts towers were amazing! I'm glad you got some food in in the end! Your Sicilian/German American friend!
Thank you so much for watching! Yup, the Watts Towers are pretty remarkable. And the food was great, as always!
As a Italian/Sicilian American Angelino, thank you.
You're very welcome! Thank you so much for watching!
I had so many found memories at St. Pete's! In the 70's and 80's. The church had the best St. Joseph table. Thank you for showing a fantastic part of my childhood! Benedizione a tutte.
We loved it there. That alter, especially!
Fantastico! Thank you very much for the education. I'm from San Diego and didn't even know about Los Angeles' paisan' heritage! Your must do San Francisco and North Bay next.
Thank you so much for watching! We're actually putting it together as we speak. Stay tuned!

Thank you so much! It's really been our honor to bring these Italian American stories to life.
Love all of your videos. Of course, being Italian American I have to open my mouth! I was getting bad headaches from American wines. Thought it was the sulfites. Kept asking different sommeliers if they knew why. Same answer. But, it never happened with Italian or other European wines. Finally one of the top environmental websites did a study on American wines. Turns out every wine in the US including organic wines had pesticide traces in them. Bottom line: drink Italian!
You can never go wrong that way! :)
I get migraines from all wine except for organic wine (which have no sulfites)
Great one!
Thank you!
Wonderful video!
Thank you very much!
I love all your videos! You guys do a GREAT job! I live in Maine and miss the North End in Boston, we drive down every once in a while and it’s the closest thing to Italy we can get without actually going there. Keep up the good work! Love seeing all the neighborhoods you take me to 🇮🇹❤️🇮🇹
I have fond memories of the North End ☺️. Have you been for the St. Anthony feast?
Thank you so much for watching, and for the kind words! Plenty more coming soon, with San Francisco next!

I’m surprised no one got whacked 😂 !!
Robert deNiro is only a 1/4 Italian, Leonardo Dicarprio is mostly german. Can you really call them "Italian-Americans"? An Italian-American is a guy that left Italy 5 years ago and just got his citizenship.
Italian american refers to someone who's ethnicly italian. 1/4 is 25% which you could argue is a lot still.
@@Kingofspaids. I get your meaning. A person who is 1/4 black is considered a black person here in the US.
@rockyracoon3233 That's wild, I don't think that would be the case in canada. You could make an argument that you're mixed, which someone would be if that was the case.
San diegos little italy is the largest in the u.s. north beach/little italy is phenomenal. San pedro is cool. Sacramento also has one and san jose. But great italian restaurants are all over alifornia. I live in a coastal town of about 15,000 in northern cali and we have too many good italian eateries, pizzerias, cafes and a couple gelato spots. I dont think it gets any better in the u.s. than in cali. Plus our produce and our wine country 60% of all freshproduce and 80% of wine production. Gtf outta here! Please ca all day.
Eusebio Chini or in Tucson we call him Padre Kino he is the “father on horseback” they have a huge statue to him and brought agriculture to the natives. He is now regarded just below a Saint by Pope Francis & is will be the “saint of the borderlands” if he does.
What’s the song at the 0:14 time stamp ?
It's Vivaldi. Concerto for Mandolin and Strings in D. Thank you so much for watching!
@@ItalianAmerican AWESOME 😎
