so..after being inspired by your video I tried this look today (the back braided part) and just let me say I was so frustrated with the parting at first but I didn't give up. I tried it and it looks ok. I don't know how you braid your own hair and have it come out looking so nice. I am transitioning and definitely needed a new hairstyle idea...thank you so much!
Werk darling! Werk! I'm thinking of traumatizing myself and trying this next with twists. Just did a twisted up-do this weekend. Took FOREVER and a day because I'm so meticulous about parting and I'm still on a bit of a learning curve when it comes to twisting and braiding.
Definitely going to try this! I can't braid for nothing lol but I'm going to try flat twisting instead. Hope it turns out as good as yours! Thanks for the inspiration!

I love this look so much! I'm so glad you posted! I'm getting my hair like this tomorrow! I have a suggestion! Next time for the braids part the hair from the side curving into the top section where you put the rods. That way all of the braided hair will be flat and also meet at the same place!

up to a week. sometimes i will re-roll at nite to maintain
