Cannot thank you enough for this video. I finally branched out to St Croix after a couple months gaining and spending at Emerald, and I finally went to St Croix last night. So much more fun, bigger fish and longer fights, *money*, and just more fun in general. 🤘
you can use modified feeder rods as bottom rods like the creek pro or the big ali. if you put a sinker on it you can put a leader and a bait and a bell on it
Yup. I love being able to choose between a sinker and a feeder. Nice to have a rod that can do two things without taking up two spaces in the rod case. Plus, you can do bottom rod stuff at way lower levels than an actual bottom rod setup requires.
I started watching your beginner series and just in a week of playing im at level 32 it has been a blast thank you for all the help without you i would probably still be at lonestar😂!!!
I just caught a 34.4lbs 49 inch unique Northern using this setup at 8am game time. Took almost 15 mins real time to reel in. Had a 33 lb max limit though 😢 got 1200xp though!
Where you were standing when the line went out to 200ish is where I stand to fish the hole your fishing. When standing there, the lily pads to your left is a good spot to throw a rod and will get pike but - also occasional nice Muskie. i have fished the honey hole a lot. Definitely able to buy the 1st bass boat easily from fishing there no problem.
Ha! Well Danke Schoen! My family came from Hirschberg, Germany in 1867! I need to travel there someday to check out the country! :) Thanks for watching!
Nice to see you revist this series ... the 1st time was a Lil like does this guy know what he's doin but now you got it.. I mean this in the best possible way
15:50 I've noticed since Neherrin that as long as your stringer or Keepnet is even .001 below it's capacity, you can add one more fish. I've gotten my 198.400 pound Keepnet at Everglades up to almost 210 pounds this way. Was right up to 198.398 and landed a unique largemouth that weighed over 11.7 and it let me throw it in. As long as the icon in the upper left hasn't turned from white to gold (which it won't if you don't get that very last thousandth of a pound), you can add another fish.
@@BoAngles I'm getting caught up as I can. Only discovered this game (and then your channel) a few weeks ago. I still have a lot of catching up to do! But already up to almost level 34, and in the next 24-48 hours I should be ready to make my first trip to St. Croix with a decent setup. Looking forward to it! Just gotta save up enough for the travel, license, and the biggest Keepnet I've unlocked. Should be fun!
I'm still new to the game, I'm trying to prep for st Croix when I get to level 30. I love the set up you shown and I've been following along, things works well so far. Though I do wonder, for level 30, I'd like a passive feeder rod and an active handheld spin rod with lure instead of bait, what parts would I be taking as of level 30?
any good lure recommendations for pike/muskie? so far, I've caught 2 unique northern pike 1 on the x series single spoon from lesni 30 day stay and the other unique was on star spangled crank from revolutionary pack. was wondering about hunched and triple runners when and for what fish would you use them? level 31 220 lb. max keepnet is getting 16.8-18k per net. 100 shiners lasted me 6 days. rod equipment durability decreased between 20-30% in that time. 18 lb max drag setup - 18.7 lb titanium lead, 20lb line, fenix 14'10" 22lb float, thora 9'6" 21lb spinning rod.
The $2,000 fish every now and then is so nice. Especially when it happens to be your first fish after paying 2g's for the new day hahah. Talk about satisfying
Great videos and they've been so helpful Bo! That said, the fish Jail L at emerald is worth about $5000 more when full. I just don't see all the hype on St. Croix I guess. Walleye are well over $100 per pound. With travel, license and gear needed, Emerald can make you way more profit. Tight lines!
@@shaneb852 I would challenge you to set a timer for 30 minutes, fishing for walleye, then fishing for pike. Which makes you more in 30 minutes of playtime? That’s how you truly see what location/fish is better.
I managed to get max drag at lvl 30 with the same rod and leader but with .006ˇbraid and with the Exterminator 5500 reel, but fights with pike > 15 lbs could get a bit of a pain in the ass
What’s up BZ loving these videos I don’t even fish in real life which is funny, saw this game for free and gave it a try now it’s the only game I’ve played for a week now. I was able to reel in a 35 pound uni pike today!! but unfortunately it was 2 pounds over my keep net, took me all the way out to 295 feet and was 4,156 dollars. I was wondering do you have a set up for like twitch and stop and go style at St croix like at the Everglades
But I’m glad you like the videos! 😊 you’re not alone- and this game is a great way to learn how to fish in real life as well! Go out to a park pond and try to catch a bluegill on a worm sometime!
This series is so helpful. I just don't know if others are having this problem. My leader is getting bit off and I have a 11.3kg 0.45mm flurocarbon leader. If anyone knows any solution it really helps.
Went in and got a 9 kg (20 pound)pike as my first one and another similar sized a little later and was having a good time. Then i hooked something massive that i spent 1.5 hours of irl time fighting only to lose it after it pulled 200 meters after 1.5h of constant pressure. It completely ignored the drag when it needed to but still never pulled me all out before the end. They should add a mechanic that automatically cuts your line if the fish is physically unable to be caught with your setup since that fight killed my entire mood for the whole game
@@BoAngles Well, at least i know for now that if i can't confirm that it's a pike in the end of the line and something goes for a run like that as if i had no drag at all, i'll just cut it off myself :D
can i ask why the setup can't be used for max drag? isn't the line and leader heavier than the reel's max drag? also i tried this setup on st croix but i keep losing my leader to the pike the moment i set the fish. im using the same setup in the same spot with titanium leader (0.82') but the game keeps saying my leader gets broken... thanks for any help!
