That is pretty much the exact way I learned my 360’s and how I teach people now. Although I do adopt the two hands in the water method. But I am usually teaching people on a Broadcast. If I was teaching someone on my HiFi or another skim board it would definitely be the one hand method. Great video fellas! 🤙🏼
Question about wave settings for NSS and NCRS specifically for doing 360 and recommended weight distributions (ex.: 90% full back, 80% sides, etc.). I realize that a lot depends on the surfer, etc. but I just wish to have general guidelines where to start for doing 360: ex. - higher but shorter waive, which part of the waive to start to turning ( from the boat transom - 2/3 or 1/3). I am new to this boat and it's been very hard to figure out how to adjust the settings since there's so many combinations + weight distribution. I have 2020 G23. Wish Nautique would publish general guidelines for the boat settings for their boats.
Run NCRS on 5 or maybe down to 3 but not much lower. Lower number equals more length on the wave and takes height out, so I usually run that system on 4. NSS on 0 which gives you full engagement of that plate. Less usually just means less of a clean wave in my opinion. Start at the back of the push zone and generate speed to use that momentum to keep you moving forward while spinning. Spin towards the front 1/3 of the wave, but up on the crest.
Outstanding!!! Is the wakesurfing doable behind the jet ski!? If yes what size and brand of the board would be the best for 6' tall 180 lbs begginer?(I'm familiar with the wakeboarding)
Thanks for the comment and for watching SJ. You can surf behind the jetski but dropping the rope is going to be super difficult because there isn't much displacement from one, therefore not enough wave to push the surfer. A small kid on a giant board could possibly do it but outside that, pretty tough.
How do you stop from "stuffing" the board? I seem to make it 3/4 of the way around and then it's like the board stops. I keep spinning and face plant or almost step off the board with my front foot
I think this will help my husband finally nail that 360 this season- ua-cam.com/video/rHONYLx-pV8/v-deo.html (that scream/yell at the end was me thinking he had it till he face planted 🤣) thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
I landed my first 360 today and it was all because of this video, thank you
Love it! Congrats ✌️
Best explanation of the 360 skim I’ve ever seen

He does some pretty awesome shove its too.
Thanks for the vid! I always seem to nose dive so I’ll try ur tips. Cheers boys
Awesome thank you
Hope this helps me finally finish this trick!!
I use a ronix carbon air core 3 should I use the fin? Thanks.
What board and size are you using?

as you go from surfing backwards to the last 90, start shifting weight to your back foot slightly to keep the board from stuffing
Legit video!
Thanks Luke!
What's the name of the song you use when you show Noah do the tricks?
Do you have to turn into the wave? Or can you apply the same technique starting your 360 turn away from the wake?
Very nice guys 👍
Is it better to do it on a shorter or taller wake?
Bigger waves have more push and are generally better for new tricks but aren't necessary
Is it easier to do a 360 without the fins on the board?
Yes but can be harder stopping the spin
Do you do any coaching in Georgia ?
I have.
@@Shaun.Murray I would be interested to see what it would cost to get you here We are in Macon

Why do pro surfers dont use fins
Some choose to not use them so they can do bigger spin tricks and the board moves more freely.
I surf with fins do you recommend not to
@@scmobile4752 I surf w fins too. Most people do honestly but a few don't. No right or wrong but most will find it much easier w fins.
Ok thanks for taking the time to reply
Jesus loves you
Why does my lake never look that good. Wtf
Not overly useful.
