It sure is wonderful to feel Him! But just because God is seemingly silent, it doesn't mean that He is not working, that He is not listening. *Feeling* God is not essential. Knowing and trusting God is crucial. But He still loves you and is working even when you don't feel Him.

The power of God is not a feeling like of warmth or electricity. The power of Christ is to open blind eyes....physical or spiritual...to change a heart, a situation, a life, free from sin, raise the dead, heal, etc. The power of God, the presence of God is peace.

Well said! Because when the flesh doesn’t GET the feeling, you feel like God never showed up. The Bible says: “God is a Spirit and those who worship, must worship in spirit and truth.” Can’t look for feelings.

Went to a word of faith church. Quit when the most important things were tongues, prosperity, physical healing. The most important thing is loving God, “ seek first the Kingdom of Heaven and all these things will be added to you”. When a friend died of colon cancer without the peace of knowing that God loved her even though he didn’t heal her. Broke my heart that she prayed for that until the day of her death without rest because of that teaching.

Yeah Im sorry for your loss. I believe that we should pray for people to healed because james 5:15 commands us to but at the same time church like bethel redding will never teach mat7:21-23 which is total and complete nonsense. Honestly "the church of Christ" that doesn't believe in the gifts, I believe, is still better than most churches. But just any conservative baptist church would be fine as well. Since I have seen demons cast out, some miracles/healings, I find it very hard to find a church that is open to that reality while still holding to sound doctrine. But regardless loving God and keeping the commandments of Christ is what REALLY matters and actually all the only matters. Godspeed

I really love what you guys are doing. I love the heart of your searching, desire to know God, and to see Him be God. Willing to hear His heart and let Him have His way. There is such a purity in what you are doing in these films and I really feel it in everyone I watch. Just love from His kids to the world. Your honesty and brokenness over what you've seen and dealt with, your honest searching is just so nice to watch. I am growing in faith just watching. I only want God. Honest encounters with God. No pretense, no performance. Just God in all His glory and purity and I am watching you pursue that in these films. Great job, to all involved. These will make an impact on the Kingdom for generations.

This also reminds me of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. They prayed, and they asked Jesus to come and keep their brother alive, but Jesus didn't show up "in time." There was, however, a reason. We may not be able to see the reason, and we may not understand at the time, but He knows what He is doing, and you can rest assured that there is a very good reason. Giving glory to God is amazing. And He knows every hurt you have ever felt.

Alissa Wood very true! It is actually said that Jesus knew the price of going back to Jerusalem to heal Lazarus would be the cost of his own life because of the circumstances in the city and tensions of the roman government and the Jewish people. Jesus coming into town again proclaiming to be a "King" and reviving dead people would cause an uprising, which we later see, it did and he was given to the Romans authorities to be executed. Gods timing? I think so.

I loved every bit of this video, but I got to the end of the "sinner's prayer" (25:02) and I'm wondering, where's the admission and repentance of sin? Where's the cross? Where's the gospel? Accepting Jesus as a response to a feeling surely isn't a prayer of salvation. It's a prayer that should put her on the path, but I wouldn't call that a prayer of salvation. EDIT: It sounds like there may have been some further conversation and prayer that led to genuine repentance, but it's certainly not covered in this video. God bless them for ministering to this lady by meeting her at her point of need, where she was at. I pray for genuine repentance that leads to salvation through faith in the work and person of Christ and his cross.

One thing we tend to forget about is that God is outside of time. God sees every potential future for all 7 billon of us. I imagine that He has a Earth-table with 7 billon pieces on it, that He moves around to win those "men of peace" big impact persons. What if the reason that the boy did not get healed at that moment, is that God thought; "No, if I wait to use that local man (that maybe is not even saved jet.), I can build a large community of believers out of the miracle of healing this boy.."
We are in a spiritual war, and there is no better strategist than God. He is even building an army of children that are growing up in Heaven, for the millennial reign of Christ maybe.

    • @andrewchurney8864
      @andrewchurney8864 6 років тому +2

Tressy Tresmark, I believe that the eternal nature of God means that he dwells outside of time altogether. God is the inventor and creator of time, He is not subject to it. Therefore, God does not see the potential futures of men, but the actual future as it will be, because He is already there looking at it. All times, including the past, are present tense to our God! He is the eternal I AM, and does not need to think in terms of potentialities, as a temporal human would think. God already knows ALL, and sees ALL. His ways and thoughts are higher than ours as the heavens are above the Earth! God cannot miss it on a prophesy because He is already there in our future! This is also why He knows who will persevere and finish the race of life well before they even start running! He is awesome and eternal.

  • @stipcrane

Wow, this is great! The team's candidness is so encouraging, because there is a perception among less experienced believers that the guys on the stage have all the answers and never struggle with mysteries or "failures," or which is what we tend to label them.
The discussion on needs and desperation was meaty! Jesus said I tell you truthfully that there were many widows in Israel in the time of Elijah, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and great famine swept over all the land. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to the widow of Zarephath in Sidon. And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet. Yet not one of them was cleansed-only Naaman the Syrian.” What was different in those two situations?
The acknowledgement that there is no formula that turns God into your personal genie is solid. God is Spirit; we are flesh, but with a spirit. We must worship Him in spirit. Our flesh would prefer to worship something that it can see, feel, hear & taste, but that won't lead us to the kingdom of heaven.

God moves by faith always and not emotion

Yes @JamieGalloway 20:00 He cares. He catches our tears, and... He celebrates when we rise victorious over suffering set free from the chains. He is author and finisher, so while we cry, He knows we will shout praise. When we learn to be quick to trust and shout praise in the darkness for the Light, to have faith in the heart of storm as we trust and praise His goodness.. THAT is the true JOY of the Lord that is our strength. That is the JOY we can share in the middle of adversity. It will be (so much more than) OK.

this is beautiful stuff.... however, I think perspectives need to change a little... God doesn't just respond randomly to one person's desperation & ignore another's... that's not God... Jesus didn't heal everyone he saw but He did heal everyone who asked... the desperation in its root is actually a desperation for God.. God doesn't respond to needs but by faith & everyone who came to Him in desperation for example, the woman w/ the issue if blood, came by faith... we don't go to God & "hope" He does something, because there's no faith there, it's emotional... we go to God in faith w/ desperation for Him & then His hand moves & He does everything out of pure love.... so, it's way more simple than that.. how can we expect God to move more mightily if we don't come to Him as a child (innocent & blameless ), & think w/ a simple mind... the book of Hebrews says it's impossible to please God without faith... so, is our faith solely in God, or what we see & experience? we're complicating the gospel by even trying to question & analyze.... there's no real questions in the kingdom but a free flow of wisdom in the Holy Spirit who lives in us all... either we believe who God says He is & believe the Bible & what the Bible says we are, or we live by experience instead of pure faith...

5:30 is this some type of mental trick? (hypnosis whether its initially or not)
7:43 "what if you were able to feel Gods power? Like electricity.." answer "if I could experience something like that or I would believe.."
13:01 "I just want to be told its going to be ok" (which is understandable in a sense for her but it still doesn't get to bottom of the issue)
    -clearly ppl would blame themselves
15:10 "we want you to feel God" "and your about to experience His presence and feel His love"
    17:30 "I didn't feel anything"
18:01 son went through 20 surgeries in 9 months; kind of ignoring the fact that God isn't healing
21:10 God cares; fine but how do we actually demonstrate that. Its not thru dripping empty sentimentality
23:20 w/ the translator, she prays a prayer and says she feels something. But the follow up is crucial w/ this. It does seem legitimate that she did encounter the actual presence of Christ so theres something here to consider. The Spirit did come upon ppl via the laying on of hands in acts

The role of desperation? I think it helps. Consider Dt 4:29; & Jer 29:13, “you will find me when you search for me with all your heart”. Emotion also helps. Consider Hanna (I Sam 1:-20); Hezekiah (II King 20:1-5). Purists argue that only faith moves God, but the gospels say that Jesus was often moved by compassion (emotion) to heal people (Mt 14:14; 20:34; Mk 1:41; Lk 7:13). It is interesting that Jesus wept before raising Lazarus (Jn 11:35) after stalling to go for 4 days (Jn 11:1-15). It has been argued that this was His greatest miracle, since Lazarus was dead for so long.

Q1) Why does God not or heal someone. (e.g. Lock jaw 5 hour Q1b) If He does not heal then it is not to be taken as rejection (in the Bible much was said a/b healing just b/c God decided to regardless of faith, other times faith was a prerequisite, at least once prayer and fasting was prerequisite).. My question is if he does not heal we are not to take it as rejection, I am not looking for hardships decreed by God, but I trust Him. It does bother me that on top of this I may or may not understand what He is saying, or what His reasons... even if the answer is that "it isn't for me to know". For me communication is more important than even the healing. Can this question be addressed?

I'm sorry, but if these people experienced a true miracle/healing, they would be on the ground weeping. Why is every "healing" always so subtle? A miracle in its very nature is anything but subtle! These men seem to be very genuine and really want to help people and see God glorified, but this isn't convincing enough even to a non skeptic.

Why does God heal one person and not another? Who knows... Jesus healed everyone who came to Him. Jesus was also blameless, and demonstrated perfect humility. I imagine if every prayer or every petition I spoke out was answered, I would become more arrogant than I already am. However, praying does demonstrate the L-O-V-E of God each and every time. Jesus told me to L-O-V-E. Jesus personally told me to L-O-V-E. So, I pray for people in order to become a better lover.

I was watching this on TV. I liked it, except one thing. Those guys are touching physically those ladies they pray for. Touching a lot, hands, arms, sholders, head, hugging, etc. The are unsensitive to social distance of people from cultures they dont know. It must have been very scary for example for that Chinese lady when big men come to touch her physically. U can pray while valuing their integrity. It is offensive for Chinese to touch their head.

some energy healing method, why does it have to be contributed to Jesus or to a God! why can't you admit that you don't know. These people did heal, the pain did go away, but why do they have to start making things up after? just be happy that you are healed, why do we have to create drama around it and make it interesting! even the producers do not know God or Jesus, they just know him through what they read or have been told. it is sad that they are so smart and are doing such a beautiful job, yet they are lying to people that it is Jesus who is healing. Plus, rich people are not desperate? that just shows me how much you truly know life!! Thank you for your hard work, but i truly hope that you start telling the truth, not make up stuff, like God loves you.. how the hell do you know that?!

I see you don't answer comments, but I am going to say my say anyway. I am fed up with people quoting verses out of a bible that talks of a holy spirit that do not exist, a Jesus that do not talk and a god that frankly that do not exist. I have asked this god to reveal himself but he still not here. If he needs me to be desperate for him to show himself, well then he kan keep to himself. So here is my take on it, he is a god that talks to, reveals himself to his people then decides to get some of his loyal's to write a book so he can now sit beck and frustrate his people. So if you don't read the damn book you are doomed. That sounds like a human invented plot. Or some god with a sense of humour. Has anybody experienced GOD outside of the book you call the Bible? I need to see this God, this God that people talk of but has never revealed himself except in the form of a man when he could just reveal himself and the whole world wil be convinced but instead he throws us a book and say read and pull a sick stunt on us, "Believe". Believe in something that does not exist. The more I pull this Question and come up dry. The more I believe you believe in nothing. Somebody please,.... or are all of you just show Christians? And another thing. Why do you ask money for this series when the world so need to see it. If you're really dependent on the Lord then he should fund you but He doesn't. Does he?

...If you allowed yourself to learn patience and if you learned why you havent met God yet, you'd understand that everybody that has met Him didn't just happen to have a tantrum then God appeared......there are rules , for your own sanity, .....chill brother.....God is a rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek him.....he will reward you with himself :)

Wow first you insult me and then you end with kind words. 49 years of waiting. I would say I have enough patience. And who are you to judge me like that? Did you live my life up to now? You have obviously read the Bible. So you are indoctrinated with the words therein. You have an inner voice because of your exposure to the words of the Bible. God spoke to his people long before there was a Bible. Why did he choose to only live in the words of a book? God's not dead, he does not exist outside the pages of the Bible.

Andrew du Toit Hi Andrew, God loves you so very much that He made a way for you to come to Him. (As I don't know if you have heard about the way, I would like to share it with you.)
The only way is through Jesus who paid the price by dying on the cross for you. As He has already made the way, you receive Him by faith (believing without feelings or seeing) Jesus is the way, the door, the entrance to God, our Father. Once you take that step, you become His son and He your Father and He will never leave you no matter how you feel. Once you have received Him, it would be good to join in fellowship with other believers near you who would encourage you.
Sending this with much care & compassion for you.

Hey Andrew. I know its tough trying to seek God and fully understanding what it is to even know him. I have struggled with that a lot. God is a loving God and he wants you to understand him and one of the ways in through his word (the bible). The Bible is like a history book as well as an encouragement book and many other things as well. He speaks through it and uses it to reveal himself. It's one gift he has given us to use for knowledge. He has also given his Holy Spirit to us to help us has revelation, strength and guidance. I know you said it's hard to believe in that and I totally get that. So many years and didn't really think that was true either but then in the right timing I felt the Holy Spirit reveal things to me! I would say there isn't just one way that he works either. Sometimes it's a still small voice, sometimes it's in thoughts, or pictures or many other things! The Bible tells stories in many different ways that the Holy Spirit shows himself too!
Andrew I just want to encourage you that all these questions are really good and that you are not alone in think them for sure! God hears you and sees you even though sometimes it feels like you are talking to air and have no real response! I promise you that you are 100% being heard! God longs to reveal himself to you and I have no doubt about that! His timing can be frustrating at times thats for sure! I have really had to learn to wait but keep pushing! Keep asking big questions! Don't let off! Fight for the answers and seek the truth! I know one day soon God is going to do something big in your life and it will change everything! I hope this was helpful and has encouraged you to fight to know truth!

I do know Jesus and have been baptised. I am just trying to get answers from people that have experienced GOD for REAL. Have you? Or are your only experience of God in the Bible?
