This game proved that the Cowboys were going to be something special if they could add just a few more pieces to the team which they did. They got Thomas Everett in free agency at safety. Got Darren Woodson, Robert Jones, and Kevin Smith in the draft would eventually be starters. Then the final piece would be Charles Haley in a trade for their pass rush. For the Bears, this game was their final stand because things went downhill quick in the 92 season and by the end of the season, Dikta was gone.
You could see this one coming - the over the hill Bears came in running on fumes, losing 3 of their last 5 games including a 52-14 embarrassment at San Francisco to lose the division to the Lions, while the up and coming Cowboys were winners of 5 straight, 4 of them against playoff teams. Bears showed a lot of pride staying in this one all the way because they were pretty badly outmatched in talent and age.
If Dallas defense and special teams is even half this electric in this here upcoming 2021/2022 season they gonna have a deep playoff run. Their offense is explosive and star studded, they can score a lot of points but as everyone knows, defense wins championships
IT JUST IT ME!!! The Bears beat us 44-0 in the 1985. Landry disciple Dikta beat the Cowboys that day. The 1991 and 1992 Cowboys began the ending and ended the ending of the Ditka Bears era. and Mike SIngletary.
Bill Bates, should be in the HOF....as Madden said, "every year, their gonna get rid of Bates, can he make it, can he play anymore, in the right place, he knows how to play this game".....special teams, nickel, cover, linebacker....no one better, a walk on (basically), an un-drafted free agent, NFL All rookie team, a football stud, to small, to slow, blah, blah, blah, kinda like Emmit(?)...this is how you play the game....what do you think?
You are a little too early for pass happy. Running backs were still toting 300+ rushes a season hell Jamal Anderson toted the rock 400 times in the Dirty Bird year of 98-99.
Great game. Dallas defense was vicious in this game. Waddle should have been game mvp despite being on the losong team. Waddle took too many brutal hits in this game.
If the 92 Cowboys faced the 85 Bears, it would be a battle similar to this. But I think the Bears would win. And I'm a Cowboys fan. Still, Emmitt Smith and that offensive line vs the 85 Bears 46 defense would have been cool to see!
Sorry Magic, but I must disagree. As great as that Bears defense was, they never had to face a super powered offense, like the '92 Cowboys. The Cowboys win the game.
Who do you think wins between the 89 49ers (the SF team that beat Denver 55-10 in SB 24), and the 92 Cowboys? In my humble opinion, those are the two best teams I have ever seen.
@INCOMUDRO JJPG IV : That's a great point! The '86 Giants were/are one of the all-time great teams. In fact, perhaps that team would have beaten the '92 Cowboys.
End of an Era 85 bears Birth of the 90’s Cowboys. Love Madden & Summeral
The Cowboys first playoff win since 1982 and road playoff win since 1980.
First playoff game for the triplets and soon to be dynasty!
Troy didn’t play
@@spencerpearson3986 great call

Nice call
Bears blow this game!!!!

Younger team
More talented team won.

@INCOMUDRO JJPG IV : Another good point! Yes, the G-Men demolished 'Da Bears' that day ...

Bears had alot of grit but they no long were scary.
A really hard hitting, high tempo game! The Besrs had their chances, but the Cowboys were just too much for em!
The game was going into a pass happy, efficient offense league, and Ditka was holding up to Chuck Wepner style for dear life
You are a little too early for pass happy. Running backs were still toting 300+ rushes a season hell Jamal Anderson toted the rock 400 times in the Dirty Bird year of 98-99.
Bears offense was awful this game!!! They had no deep threat and all defense had to do was play 8 in box and theyd shut the BEARS down
This Bears team was a shell.
Simply a 1 year wonder.
They stopped being Da Bears and became The Bears at least until 2005
The Cowboys killed off The Ditka Bears that day
Great game.
Dallas defense was vicious in this game.

Waddle took too many brutal hits in this game.
WE KILLED WADDLE ALL DAY, give him credit though.
So many missed opportunities by the BEARS inside the 10 yard line. They should of gone for 3 each time. They would of won the game.
Emit smith
the bears wair black/blue

@@MichaelSimmons. I agree with u man real talk Dallas won 3 to Chicago's 1 title
Lol r u serious 92 Cowboys destroy the 85 bears easily too much firepower for the bears to deal with. We Dem Boyz 💪 DC4L 💎💎💎💎💎💎
