I had an '05 XB12 SCG with the H-D motor and TBH it was the best handling bike I ever owned and it sucked that H-D never wanted to invest more money into it. I had the factory ECM and pipe so it had about 113 HP and redlined at 7K. I was even treated like a 3rd class passenger when I was at the dealer to buy the bike. It sucks they had to go overseas to replace the engine. One time I came out of a restaurant and a GSX-R 1100 was parked next to me and the owner was asking what size my bike was because it looked smaller than his. When I said 1200 he automatically thought if his 1100 does 180 or more then my bike is probably faster. I told him my bike was more about torque than top speed so it only did about 140-145(naked bike). I had to explain torque by demonstrating a burnout from a dead stop starting in 5th gear at about 3500 RPM. Once the tire broke lose I had it going over 80 in a heartbeat and as soon as I noticed all the smoke was going into the Rib joint I just came out of I figured I better go. Manager came out at that same time, lol. I have no need for tripe digit H.P. bikes so I just have my RD400 and a new XR150 as a daily putt around bike. Beautiful inventory you guys have.
These new 2024 1190rx have the same motor as all the EBR bike from 2014. Don't get me wrong this is a good thing. I love my 4 EBRs I have 3 RXs and 1 SX. Very fun bikes and feel lighter than 400lbs+ very easy to flip from side to side.

Seriously equipped with top notch components. 185rwhp at 419lbs is nothing to play with. Definitely no joke. I'm a streetfighter rider. Streetfighters are my absolute favorite bikes. Good horsepower, torque, and a comfortable upright riding position. With being 51 soon, I have no desire to be bent over riding a bike, like my 20 year old former self. The prices are amazing, especially for Carbon Fiber Motorcycles. Those prices are dirtcheap and unheard of, for what they offer the purchasers. Love that Red, White, and Blue Buell. I had the xb9sx "city X" 983, and, nothing could keep up with me in twisties. The high ride height and short wheelbase made it the best handler of the xb's. I'd love to have another, but, it would be more awesome with a rotax powerplant ... There's just something to be said about having the ability to power wheelie in any gear, at any rpm above lugging. I got to hang out and party with the 1125R supa bike team in Wichita after the race... Those guys were cool, and crazy as hell. They kicked back after the race long enough to suck down a few cold brews, then , they pulled a couple of pocket rockets out of the trailer, and set up a track in the parking lot. I dont remember how many times they crashed into each other in the sharp curve, but, it was much more entertaining than anything that raced earlier that night. I was sore and the next day from laughing so hard.
10 years ago I went to Indy to buy a Triumph Tiger 800XC Adventure Bike from two used car salesman who had taken over the franchise for BMW and Triumph motorcycles .... My friend worn me about this new dealership and said I should have went to Donaldson's in St Louis but that was twice as far away from home as Indy... It was going to be my first Triumph and I didn't want to go that far from home for dealer but I should have... Tell you about the story later it's a long one but funny as hell... I've never seen a father and son as excited and involved in motorcycles especially dirt bikes, cruisers, and Motorsports.. people should be well aware that they're in good hands with you two as you are going to want to sell them the very best motorcycle for their use
As I sit in my suburban watching this video, it's like I'm actually riding that motorcycle. The sound in vibration through my Bluetooth is just wild. It didn't take nothing to pop the front wheel, I bet that thing could be scary to ride.
Awesome video, I also owned a 1999 x1 lighting (similar to your Bud Buell) when i was a young Marine stationed at camp Pendleton, CA. Buells have always been unique bike and turn a lot of heads and when you stop somewhere as it's different and has an awesome unique sound, there is always someone asking you questions when you pull into a location or admiring the bike when you come out of the store. I currently own a 2008 1125r (its stored in southern France currently), and it still looks modern and keeps up with new twins, so they build these extremely well. I plan on getting a Hammerhead when I retire in a couple more year's. Why I'm waiting you might ask? I work for Department of State and work in Embassies overseas, so it is pointless to get something new and park it in storage 11 months a year while the warranty disappeares. I personally like the white one the best as it looks super clean, the red/white/and blue one also has my interests as nothing says America more than that (plus being one of only 40 is pretty special). If you can support some sort of warranty extended (while its in storage), or you maintain it at your shop, I would jump on it early. Otherwise, gotta wait a couple more years. Love the V-Twin, and that fan is a very nice touch, let me tell ya. Something to deal with the heat that rises from the rear cylinder while in traffic during summer is very welcome. Just think about this. The rear cylinder on a V-twin is a few inches away from your privates, and the battery sits between the two. Don’t recommend a lithium battery in this situation. 😳 Kinda cool that they come with Rossa IVs stock.

I've often wondered how effective the front brakes are on Buells, as the perimeter rotor spins faster at the outside of the wheel creating a higher rotational speed, .... more heat, requiring a larger caliper??? The rear light stalk is in need of some redesign but overall a REAL beautiful beast of a bike.
Agree, seems single disc is cheaper, dual disc give even braking. Single pulls to side. Why the steering damper? Is that regular factory equipment on most sport bikes now?
They work great. My Buell stops better than my Triumph Daytona with two 320mm rotors, the feel is way better too. Can easily pick the back end up braking hard. Never a lick of fade
I was going to buy the 1190ss but there is no dealer around me and I wanted to ride one first since i came off a 2022 s1000rr and the buell has no rider assist like wheelie settings, slide control, heated grips, cruisecontrol, navigation, electronic suspension,quickshifter/blipper, and are priced pretty high for what you get so I went with a new 2024 s1000rr premium with forged wheels for 2k less than the buell and got a 7 year unlimited mileage warranty, I have a 5 year tire and wheel insurance, and free towing. I still want to try onethough, and maybe have as a second bike.

Sounds like a bike with a stock exhaust to me. What are you hearing that makes you think the tune isn't right? There's no pops, backfires, etc. It's a new bike so I'd imagine buell is using the correct mapping.
Stock at fit me pretty good the writing position is more relaxed because it's a street fighter not a road racer also they make a kit to lower the pegs 1 inch and raise the bars 1 in which I would probably do

Love the Buell,but sounds like the tune isn’t quite right yet, at least in the video.
Sounds like a bike with a stock exhaust to me. What are you hearing that makes you think the tune isn't right? There's no pops, backfires, etc. It's a new bike so I'd imagine buell is using the correct mapping.

Stock at fit me pretty good the writing position is more relaxed because it's a street fighter not a road racer also they make a kit to lower the pegs 1 inch and raise the bars 1 in which I would probably do

You guys are getting me looking closer at these bikes! So, Ken, you would say better horsepower to weight ratio than ANY other bike you have ridden!?! Even a Desmosedici? That is wild. Which bike would you say is your fave Ken and Kenny? One note, I think you meant Austria for Rotax engines. I do remember them being a part of Bombardier Quebec, but then engines were built in Austria. Anyway, tell me which one is your favorite and maybe a second fave. I saw the video the other day in which you mentioned that you both were getting the cruiser!
