It is beautiful , white is my favourite colour and stylish design , love it 💜 . Most importantly it is drawn on my husband’s birthday! What awesome surprise and present to him ! 💜💜💜💜💜
Oh hahah interesting, I feel the opposite 😅. I feel like apartments can give you multiple streams of income and flexibility because it’s several homes that you can rent out, and give you the opportunity to use one for yourself as a vacation home. Whereas one house doesn’t give you that same return (especially if you want to also live there), because you can generally rent it out only as one home, to a limited amount of people. So I think the apartments are a much better investment for sustaining a better lifestyle than just moving into a very expensive home that you’ll have to have a lot income to maintain. It is beautiful though!😍😍
@@LindaRosem I actually feel a single (ideally brick but oh well) house is better than an apartment building. Whilst you are looking at investment, I feel with 7 or 9 million dollar property! Then financial investment days are over. However I do agree that you'd need to be rich already to pay $10,000 a year in rates, let alone if anything requires maintenance! Plus with bills constantly increasing, then there's food and everything else to keep you alive, that all this means is you need to have an ongoing job!!! Instead of retiring in luxury! Therefore, I prefer prize houses over apartments > for about 1 year max. Then sell up and find a HOUSE that is cheaper allowing you to continue to retire in luxury. Speaking of _investments_ when you have multiple - multiple millions, loses the point on having money to enjoy against living to have money! I'd hope you'd change your philosophy if you became rich such as whoever wins this beach house (for a year of bliss).
Absolutely STUNNING home, beyond exceptional I don't understand the price tag though but the house beautiful and above all a worthy cause. This outcome is undeniably beneficial on multiple fronts. A victory for the recipient, a victory for the charity, and a victory for the community, regardless of whether the prize is kept or sold. This adds yet another valuable asset to the community, something that is genuinely in high demand.
How many beige "houses" can they fit on one block? The interior has been done millions of times and I think the winners should sue if they don't get the stated value. A bit like winning powerball but not getting the full amount.
Spectacular home and a fantastic prize. ref 3:56 estimated $171,600 in rental income, yeah that's great BUT If you sell it and potential have $10 million in the bank earning 6% that means $600,000 per year accumulative so if you rented it out for $171,000 your potential loss would be over $400,000 accumulative so I definitely would not recommend renting it out.
Another option could be to keep it and rent it out so you’ve got an appreciating asset that’s bringing in income, and then take out an equity loan for the value of the house to invest in more diversified and appreciating assets to bring in more income…. especially since it seems banks give out incredibly low interest rate loans for those larger amounts backed up by appreciating assets. All the while the house is gaining more value with time 🥰. And since you’ve got more appreciating assets, you can continue the cycle over and over. At least, that’s what I’d look in to doing haha. I think I watch too much UA-cam, I could be led astray so don’t follow my advice 😂
I have *never* heard anyone calling a sea breeze 'warm' rather than 'cool' because that is what you usually want on a hot/humid QLD day - a nice cool sea breeze!
The house next door was said to be worth over $10 million. It sold yesterday for $7.2 million. Very nice, indeed. However, the value seems to be overestimated.
Things that are missing from this house: * Office or work space * Lift/ elevator * Gym space * Garden with soil. ( they have a small garden but it's mostly paved) * Movie room. * There is one bathroom shared between 3 bedrooms, and it's small and doesn't have a tub. There is no seperate bathroom for guests on the ground floor, just the " powder room" on the top floor. * The bedrooms are tiny. * The master bathroom doesn't have enough partitions. * The walk in robe is behind the toilet/ bathroom, bit ick. There is no door or partition to stop smells. There's nothing to stop water flowing onto the carpet. * They could have added another bathroom instead of drying space for laundry, with an indoor/ outdoor feel. The washing line is mounted in a place that gets zero sun. Overall good design and very similar to most other homes. Easy to clean and maintain. For a house this size, the corridors are narrow. The double sink in the bathroom is small. The appliances could have been better. The fittings are not nice. Some houses have very beautiful marble/ tiles/ dark hardwood/ leather. Sofas could have been nice leather ones. I wonder if they have over valued the paintings. Because the furniture seems to be from Kmart/ super Amart/ fantastic furniture. Other houses have different levels ( eg sunken lounge) which create interest and make the space look bigger. They also have nooks for storage or reading or a drinks area... this house is a bit boring. I've looked at other RSL vids which are beachfront properties and much better packages ( eg including gold bars) for half this price. Better design and fittings too.
Thanks, I thought I was the only one to notice all these things. In particular, he Master bedroom's WIR being on the other side of the toilet (with no door) seemed the biggest flaw. Don't get me wrong, I'd still love to win this house, but I've noticed most of the RSL houses seem to have a few design oddities these days. They look great, but they don't seem to put as much thought into functionality of design as they used to (say, 20+ years ago).
A much more conventional design than the one RSL did next door. The only thing I wish the prize came with was money or gold and a good chunk of it. I suppose a big ticket book is in order. Total prize value: $9,714,566. Property - $9,500,000 (supposedly, although the one next door, 14A, is selling for $7.25m) Other Inclusions: Rates and Water - $9,026 Legal Transfer Fees - $1,509 Furniture and Electrical - $201,619 Security installation - $412 Travel Voucher - $2,000
@@nevetsgg Consider the expenses for insurance. You'd practically need to hit the jackpot in Oz Lotto to have the financial means to reside in such a stunning residence. I use the term "stunning" because within the context of real estate, it's synonymous with possessing immense wealth beyond the working class. It might have been more appealing to have a home valued between 3 to 4 million dollars, along with a 1 to 2 million dollar investment in gold, complemented by a standard vehicle.
You did a nice job of the interior design. I like the colours and styling - and I don't always with these houses. Only complaint is that designers of these prizes never include recliners. I understand why - they want lower profile furniture for unobstructed views, but if I was living in it, I'd want at least one recliner. LOL.
So stunning, till I see the hideous shower in Master bedroom ensuite and Walk-in robe that absorbs all toilet smell and moisture :( what a disgrace to an almost perfect seaside house!
Not the only design flaw, but probably the most obvious. Need to get something from the WIR? Have to walk past partner taking a dump. LOL. And no door. That carpet will get damp pretty quick. Nice house, great location, but the floor plans and layout are never as good or logically structured as they used to be years ago.
theyre not hiring the brightest to design homes anymore, I live in an apartment in Sydney, the balcony faces the sun in the afternoon and evening - turns my place into an oven in summer time due to the tiled floors and bricks and no insulation. Also no bath tub, no ceiling fans, no AC, you'd think they'd take our country's infamous heat waves into consideration, eh @@kirkfletcher6028

Beautifully appointed. Top shelf.
It is stunning, such a comfortable coastal interior. Looks like a very steep staircase, shame it doesn’t come with a lift 🤭
