This is definitely a way to be an unstoppable god killing machine. Edit: and I overlooked one little thing, battle axes deal 1D8 with one hand and 1d10 when wielded with both hands.
Hi, I wanted to try this build, I just have a doubt, what do you do about the curse of the Axe? Is just the way it's spelled "remove curse" and "greater restoration" kinda sounds like it just restores your physical form, but the axe will change you back again.
I saw a great video by zacspeaksgiant that suggested you go ranger and take the optional feat primal companion. Then take the beast of land and voila you play as Atreus the ranger and Kratos is your companion
@@dunki1718asically, you are only cursed while attuned to the axe. Greater Restoration and Remove Curse will remove your attunement to the axe. Preventing the curse from affecting you. (At least until you attune with it again.)
If you really want the blades of chaos as close to the actual thing as possible (and if you don’t really care about roleplay) be a Kor. They have a natural affinity with chain hooks for climbing and fighting.
I love this, this is a fantastic representation of Kratos. Just wanted to point out though that battleaxes are d8/d10! die, so you're damage is even more insane with those Crits!
Cool build idea, Another, I would love to see is a Geralt of Rivia (Witcher) build. I think it would be a very versatile build, but also could be hard to mix in all the elements of a Witcher.
DnD Builds Thank you for these videos. I just recently got into DnD, and I found your channel 2 days ago. These videos have been very illuminating for me, in showing how to match character concepts with different aspects of the D&D system. They have helped me expand my idea of roleplaying because I can match up in character reasons for why characters would have certain abilities in the game. Some of the things you go over are a little over my head because I don't fully understand all the systems yet, but these videos are definitely a fun way to be introduced to new ideas, builds, concepts, feats, items, spells, etc. I really appreciate all the work that you put into them, and in the future I look forward to rewatching them once I have a better idea of the mechanics involved. If you are accepting future video suggestions, I would love to see a video for Aang from Avatar the Last Airbender. I feel like a flying monk with a bo-staff/glider and elemental attacks is a really cool idea in general even if I have no clue how it would work in D&D.
I of course, except any and all recommendations, and if you want to learn some more about D&D related stuff, feel free to check out our Discord. We're always chatting about it in there and there's always people willing to help out
I would add a few levels of artificer. It does not fit with the character much but allows you to get some of the effects of his weapons from the games. For example returning weapon to have the leviathan axe or style it as chains to make the blades of chaos.
I never played GoW, but this seems like a good build. Great job. Can I suggest -- Johnny Lawrence from Cobra Kai or the Red Viper from Game of Thrones.
There’s whole character abilities that DnD doesn’t have a lore accurate way of simulating (most of which have to do with the combo based play style of the games)
I would have taken 3 levels in fighter (champion) to get action surge, second wind and improved crit chance. It might be weaker because we lack unlimited rage and improved con and strength but he is the god of war, so I feel like some levels in fighter to make him more like a warrior/spartan.
Battle axe is 1d8 one handed 1d10 two handed. Another idea while Zealot is very thematic is the newest path of the giant to throw that battle axe and it comes back.
As with everything work with your dm, now this depends on the dm but mine is working with all his players on magic items that would suit their pcs whether that's modifying magic items or homebrewing them just for us.
This actually isn’t terribly far from my current character. I’m playing a zealot barbarian scourge aasimar. My dm let me use my fists and so now you have the body supremacist who believes if they fail to do something, they need to get stronger because they cannot stoop to the level of relying on weapons and armor to become better
I thought about it for sure, but he kind of does the exact opposite of worship a god of war, by trying to kill him... then becomes one... plus I'm generally not a huge fan of War Cleric, always felt like they fell short
Saw this comment very late (someone else mentioned Arthur and I was searching and saw your comment popped up not replied) But I actually recently started reading the novels and just found out about the webcomics too, if they come out with a show (so I have more to use for video footage) I definitely will
Yo I rly enjoy your videos mate and I would like to make a request. Could you please make JOhn Constantine but with Tasha's custom lineage as the race and warlock as one of the mains if not the main classes?
Kinda surprised you didn't go with Scourge Aasimar. Kratos doesn't really have wings, after all. Still, good build right here. edit: Goddamn, the Haunted One Background fits Kratos better than I thought it would...
Just for flavor in a way, since Kratos does not fly, maybe ask the DM if it's ok to trade the flying with when you rage, it also turns the rest of the stuff on for Radiant Soul. Sounds like a decent compromise.
depends what kratos the user wants to be The ghost of Sparta The New god of war Destroyer of fate weapon of the gods turned against its creator God killer The destruction of Olympus Father of Loki/Atreus Greek’s monster Dad of boy Now you need a spear to this build And spoilers The champion of the giants
Yeah he was on my vote on Patreon, kratos beat him out though. I've been wanting to build them for a while, I really like the show so it would be great to throw him in soon

Holy crap! I can't believe I overlooked that, thanks so much for that correction. I'll make sure to add it to the pinned comment.
I played in his session last month and can confirm, we all rolled at least 3 nat 20s each.
Fact!!!
Cool build idea, Another, I would love to see is a Geralt of Rivia (Witcher) build. I think it would be a very versatile build, but also could be hard to mix in all the elements of a Witcher.
I keep wanting to build him, but I so many other builds keep jumping ahead in line

8:58 I was waiting a "Square, Square, Triangle" joke here, since in the original trilogy you were able to spam that attack over and over again.
You're probably right, looking back, I probably should have just included more QuickTime events in the build
That would have been fun.
Hold the like button => Add to favorites => Press the suscribe button => AND SMASH THE BELL
Nice use of the Dual Whips. I mean the basically are just really brutal whips most of the time. (and they do slashing damage)
Let’s go! Keep up the great work brother
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the vids
There's a magic whip called Dyrrn's Tentacle Whip that would be a good substitute for the Blade of Chaos.
this is actually perfect, no n ote just appluse 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you!

The whole rage of kratos comes from a deal with ares, so it needs at least 1 level in warlock or paladin
amazing job at this build. Spot on in so many ways. to go with the earlier suggestion of an sub zero build how bout Scorpion or any the MK ninjas
I've been wanting to dive into MK a ton... Just the MK ninja's like SubZero, Scorpion, Smoke, Reptile, etc. would be so cool to make.
@@dndbuildssub zero isn’t a ninja tho
The new path of the giant works for kratos, because you can throw weapon and it returns back to you
I never played GoW, but this seems like a good build. Great job.
Can I suggest -- Johnny Lawrence from Cobra Kai or the Red Viper from Game of Thrones.

Can we get Sub Zero?

As with everything work with your dm, now this depends on the dm but mine is working with all his players on magic items that would suit their pcs whether that's modifying magic items or homebrewing them just for us.
Now with the Path of the Giant Barbarian you can infuse weapons with elements and throw weapons that return at the end of your turn

My dm let me use my fists and so now you have the body supremacist who believes if they fail to do something, they need to get stronger because they cannot stoop to the level of relying on weapons and armor to become better
I would love to see you cover Wander from Shadow of the Colossus or Jax from the Jax and Daxter series
You should do raziel from legacy of Kain
No levels in Cleric of war?
I thought about it for sure, but he kind of does the exact opposite of worship a god of war, by trying to kill him... then becomes one... plus I'm generally not a huge fan of War Cleric, always felt like they fell short
I was one of the people who suggested this! 🐵
Also I’m first 🙂
cab you do atreus next?
Can you do Arthur Leywin from The Beginning After the End?
Saw this comment very late (someone else mentioned Arthur and I was searching and saw your comment popped up not replied)
But I actually recently started reading the novels and just found out about the webcomics too, if they come out with a show (so I have more to use for video footage) I definitely will
Scourge Aasimar is more appropriate for Kratos. Love the rest of the build though :)
When I think Kratos
I thought Goliath since it fits his build
But assimar works
Goliath definitely works visually, but since Giants are a real thing in the God of War games, I steered away from it a bit, but I like the idea.
Makes sense to make him a barbarian
You should make the Highlander. There Can be only one
Russian badger’s lord death of murder mountain character from fallout new vagas
Dosent improvised weapons also deal 1d4? So you could youst attach dagers to chains and deal the same amount of damade?
Can you make Ronan from Guardians of the Galaxy(1) plz?
Yo I rly enjoy your videos mate and I would like to make a request. Could you please make JOhn Constantine but with Tasha's custom lineage as the race and warlock as one of the mains if not the main classes?
How would a Corvo from Dishonerd build work?
Does this mean there’s no way of simulating those 100+ hit crowd control combos you had to do out of necessity in the Greek mythology saga?
Could you make Ban from the Seven Deadly Sins
I've gotten a handful of Seven Deadly Sins requests, and Ban is one I definitely have a plan in mind for already :)
Spider of the abyss
Kinda surprised you didn't go with Scourge Aasimar. Kratos doesn't really have wings, after all. Still, good build right here.
edit: Goddamn, the Haunted One Background fits Kratos better than I thought it would...
I was tempted for Scourge, but I liked the radiant damage, and wanted to nod to Daddy Kratos a bit lol
Just for flavor in a way, since Kratos does not fly, maybe ask the DM if it's ok to trade the flying with when you rage, it also turns the rest of the stuff on for Radiant Soul. Sounds like a decent compromise.
Kratos is a SCOURGE aasimar if ever Ive seen one, spartan rage is basically the aura power
Yeah I could definitely see that, I just wanted to have a bit more reference to Papa kratos where I could fit it in.
@@dndbuilds when you factor in magic items you can go either way
Do Chucky from Child’s Play movies/ Chucky the T.V show.
I might have to make him for October
@@dndbuilds Awesome, that would be better it match the horror theme in October.
For race I would have gone with Goliath
Still waiting on Rambo
I know you are, I've just got hundreds of requests to get through, but at some point I will find the right time to bust out Rambo
@@dndbuilds yay
Wouldn't this just be Grog
I mean he's a Goliath berserker barbarian, so it would be a much different style
depends what kratos the user wants to be
The ghost of Sparta
The New god of war
Destroyer of fate
weapon of the gods turned against its creator
God killer
The destruction of Olympus
Father of Loki/Atreus
Greek’s monster
Dad of boy
Now you need a spear to this build
And spoilers
The champion of the giants
Absolutely there's plenty of ways to build them depending on the version, I was just trying to get more of a general kratos
@@dndbuilds or composite kratos
How about Ichigo from bleach
Yeah he was on my vote on Patreon, kratos beat him out though. I've been wanting to build them for a while, I really like the show so it would be great to throw him in soon

Trusty Silk, never misses a vid :D

Oh that's a bold statement!!! But I'm pretty insanely flattered by it 😁
