The tactical battlefield action seems much better imo in UG Civil War still one of my favorite games. I do like the strategic map aspects with resources, infrastructure & different offices etc. The strategic troop movement and unit organization needs some work. Very interesting game play all in all. I may pick this up after it cooks for awhile. Thank you for your videos & content.
Because i'm always to late to your streams, i will write it here. You are able to choose the the muskets your Artillery is using where you also can change the Kanons they use. There is a Musket button on the left of the Kanon button. ^^
Stack two units on each flank to advance first and trade places drawing fire, with everything else stacked in the center, and hit the fort in a single corner, straight into one of the wooden walls.
Well Played Prepare for British invasion on the coast; start building and training troops now Keep building Merchant stalls, Lumberyards, Mines, Agriculture you will need it Build Schools to provide you with Officers and Specialists; Build recruitment centers in towns with moderate to large population build 1 church and printing press in each zone to decrease opposition and increase recruits Use your Charisma point to do research to get another General
Get like 2-3 companies of skirmishers for the army. The vision and speed are handy, especially in the forts. Also nice to have the flanks and rear covered once engaged in an open field battle.
Is that an english general / field army in Ft. Stephens? Who is the portrait seen around 32 min. I didn't recall an english general portrait for the Boston garrison.
It's 2024, can't we finally get some accurately modeled historical forts in a game for once? I love this period of history and i know all of the locations in and out. And it just boggles my mind with all fo the available forst habd maps and information and rebuilt forts on location. These game Devs. could literally put an extra hour into developing the maps atleast somewhat accurately 😆
can you tell me how I can increase my crew numbers on my ships??? It seems like on my 38's I only have 140 crew and the Brits have bigger crews...I've seen some people have 210 crew on these ships so I don't know what I'm doing wrong...
Can you change the armament on individual ships? Sailing ships needed X amount of crew for sailing and Y crew per gun. Course, that scaled with the size of the gun too. The game may also let you control the number of Marines aboard?

Enjoying this series....as always I am slowly getting through these videos but the content is both informative and entertaining!
Dont forget to give the 1 star militia their upgrade usually willpower to keep them from running so much.
"YOU TICKLED THE BUTCHER!"
circle the fort for 7 days blowing your trumpets and see if the walls fall... I'd have tried the verbal assault first :)
Probably preferable to assaulting it without artillery, lmao. Yeesh, my blood ran cold when he realized he left his arty!

Thomas Gage fled there after the defeats around Boston I believe.
thanks for the fun video.
The infrastructure objective didn't count in Portsmouth cause you did it in Falmouth by mistake, thinking you picked the right region. 😅😅
Boy the developer did not model the Fort or the area it sits on at all properly.
Basic infantry tactic assault fortified position u need at least a 3 to 1 advantage, but bringing some artillery would have been useful
I play with early game artillery (3 &4 lb.) on the front line firing canister with 1-2 companies behind the cannons to protect from melee.

Ai aim in this game suck, entire volley fired and only one person dead not to mention they move like turtle
This is an era where weapons were not accurate. If anything units take WAY too many casualties.

You can change guns on ships from naval guns in your arsenal, at least within reason.
I'm not 100% sure on crew management since I've largely ignored the naval side. The navy is a luxury I cannot afford at this time.
