=DDD Which Luftrum sound package contains these presets in the video?
That info is written on the page after you press the 'Play' button but the sounds in the vid are indeed presets from different Luftrum soundsets: The Blade Runner lead is from the Vangelis for Omnisphere set I made, the Just an Illusion bass is in the Synthwave Diva collab with The Unfinished, and The Model preset is found in Luftkraft (also for Diva).
I used the prompt "8-bit version of Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley". It really works!
it sure does

Such a great satire / commentary, and so funny!!! If it wasn’t posted April 1st, I would’ve had a hard time deciphering if this was humor or real 😂
It Is real!
… the thing is, I can see this happening for real. Certainly there's already an overwhelming array of synths and great presets at the disposal of most of us while we mostly are looking for a specific sound. Even if not a sound generator by itself, you could imagine a super clever local search engine that looks beyond the usual tags or can alter synth settings to a basic degree.
If you have even the slightest understanding of synthesis and creativity, you will always be ahead of this. Do the work. And you are free.
it will...
i am building this actually
@@dadigitechman nah. The one thing AI will never accomplish is getting inside the psychology and social aspect of music.
Sure. It will do great at mimicking chords and bass lines etc. but it will never be able to write with depth and sophistication of meaning.
Out of the blue? Ai will never come up with something like Public Enemy’s “Fear of a Black Planet” or Frank Zappa’s “Gregory Peckary”, or Captain Beefheart “Trout Mask Replica”or John Coltrane‘s “Giant Steps” or Stravinsky’s “The Right of Spring,. or James Brown’s “Get On The Good Foot,” etc, etc,
There’s so many incredible pieces of music that came out of humans because of a need. AI will never be able to do this.
Pop music? Definitely within the realm of proximity. But music of meaning? Never.
im never gonna give this up after using it!
Solo esa canción pone
bro got scammed
no one has created a synth with chat gpt
that's fishy
it's not that hard
OMG the «warm synth sound from jordan rudess» is so real. Good job!
Soooo much work went into this, srsly. I can already not wait for version 2.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IM LOOKING FOR. just something to play around with a synth vst with a library/plethora synth sounds so when you give it a description like "make me a warm luscious string pad with resonance" gives us sound designers something to play with. hell even see if it can read data from sound files of synths to the when it reads the audio it can learn the frequency and hear the tone and try its best to recreate it. PLEASE let this be a thing
it is a thing
i wish bro unless theres a link@@vincevangoat1
Nice one! I've been pondering AI in the core of a synth. I wasn't thinking text input though! more like wave RNN as used in speech generation but somehow able to adjust its settings on an audio sample and give you the ability to parametrically control it too. There is massive scope here.
This Artificial Processing Realtime Intelligence Language / First Order Operations Latitude Solution looks very promising!
You guys are a roll model to me
you mean roll, like Rick ?
Never gonna stop the progress
All the best synths and plugins are announced on April 1st
This is brilliant marketing. I loved the art work and "AI" music. You put so much in this prank. The best thing, I love your sound packs, so certainly will explore the sound shop.
how is lying brilliant marketing ? Anyone can lie about a product then call it a prank
@@CFox.7 Video was released on 1st of April. If you're not smart enough to understand the context behind the prank from that alone then that's on you.
@@Gyrbae We ALL fkng know it was a prank - its all over the website. If you cant understand what i wrote then I cant cant help you
Great idea, precisely on a day like this!! (and I really liked to acronym ;-)
wow, i was on the waitlist from day one and i have to say these sounds are incredible, it's so hard to believe this technology exists. thank you!!
its an April's fools joke
@@hoodiedude4204 that's what they want you to think
no one has created a synth with chat gpt
that's fishy
it's not that hard
Omg. You guys just broke my heart lol. I was so excited! welp looks like im keeping to my analog
This is AWESOME. Love the tool.
Can you also let it listen to a synth and re create that.
And can i turn the reverb off and use my own ?
Didn't let me down... the crazy thing is that this will be legit by next April.
Excellent results. Neeed !
Groundbreaking! The competition are probably updating their resumes.
I put "farts" in the prompt, and was pleasantly surprised how accurate it sounded.
I must admit that, while I find this inspiring, I'm also a little concerned that artists who have a 'signature sound' will no longer be able to protect their work from copycats. I know that's already easier than ever to do today. But there's a reason why bands like Orbital and Underworld have had such a long and productive career. They have an unusual and striking palette of custom made sounds that gives them an unmistakable musical signature. I will miss the days when you had to do a deep dive into a synthesizer, and actually learn the machine, in order to craft the sounds you're after. Fast is good. But not always the best way to create something original.
You do know this was all a prank?
SynthGPT was an April Fools’ prank launched on April 1st 2023. It doesn’t actually exist (at least not yet!) and it is not available as VST. You cannot download or buy it, it doesn’t work for real, it’s not compatible with any DAW, and the annoying sound it produces is not a glitch or a bug, really, it’s part of the joke. We apologize if it offended anyone. The intention was simply to create a playful prank that was both timely and relevant.
- Soren / Luftrum.
Many of these people with a signature sound were only protected by the cost of the equipment that was used. Vangelis for example, if you could afford a yamaha CS 80 then you could get the blade runner sound. But then again, samplers and digital based synths exist, so people can already recreate these sounds, this would just make it easier.
Thank God it was a prank!!! It really got me worried; but was heading to ask AI with a list of songs anyways lol!
Well done!!! Your timing is perfect. I've just listed all my gear for sale!
That could be a great tool to learn synthesis.
I had my doubts until I asked it to emulate a vocaloid with a hemorrhoid.
I tried to throw the AI a curve ball by prompting "farts in a bath tub" but it was amazing how realistic the sound was.
If I can do the same thing on my synth in 10 years time as I could do yesterday, it's not obsolete.
If I still enjoy making music more than letting a computer fake it for me, it's not obsolete.
It's incredible how much time someone put on this
It pay off, it gave Luftrum1 results... from a quick check, this is by far his most viewed video, even being the newer.
Fantastic! Could is also create the meowing sound of my cat Neptun? I am missing the voice when I am not at home while traveling.
I am certain it can Martin, but probably not before SynthGPT5.
Haha - good joke - I think you are one of the people, who can make every sound by his own - Like your musik - and no wonder to find you here --
Wow, now I can get rid of Vital, Serum and Sylenth!!! Amazing sound!!!
Absolutely perfect in every way.
absolutly stupid
Impressive results. I can't wait for the final product!
Fantastic! The "8-bit homecomputer 80's sound" was so real.
I like that you said please. And our gptOverlords in the future are pleased as well
This is awesome !
1st of April, good month! But we are very close to that!
I think it's quite possible to do something like that. Describe your timbre and there you go!
That was fun!
Wow, this looks so useful! Going to sell all my synths now! :)
Happy April first everyone!!
I think I blasted the borders of your synth. After juggling around with some prompts it generated a complete track for me which will be the next number 1 hit in history of electronic music.
Hey Søren .... what date is it today? It must be the launch date of this game-changing AI synth. .. (😂🎉🙌). Anyway, more to the point - when is next updates to Lunaris & Bioscape 😎👍🍻?!
Daaamn I was excited for a second when I thought it could recreate the arpeggio from backstreet boys - the one instrumental
Amazing!!!!
Amazing bro
From the marketing and PR point of view, your prank is a genius idea.
I have just used a sound. It works via VST and as a standallone. TY!!!
Asked it to recreate the moog sound from Soft Cell's hit "Sex Dwarf" with 50% Reverb ran through a Boss Chorus while pushing pickle...it didn't disappoint
Just use standard Chat GPT to output CSound or Super Collider code
Omg... Can't believe i fell for this... Good one :)
Amazing, I didn't saw it coming 😂😂 nice work 😉
Been trying fooling around with chatgdp and prompting it to write basslines and drum patterns.
Though it understands the task, (it can give detailed instructions on how to program a 303) it completely fails to produce anything "good".
Funny thing is, people are actually trying to develop this at the moment.
Sören, you are one of the brightest sound designers I know. No AI needed as long as you are around 😉
I thought this was a joke at first. I'm so impressed now.
i love the effort 😭😭😭😭😭
Artificial Processing Realtime Intelligence Language F-Zero/Zero-L. This is level II. Loved it guys!!!
One of the best April first video 😂😂😂
Nice Going!
The timing of April 1st says it all.
Wow..good luck captain! ;-)
I don't know how you kept this quiet, Luftrum, it'a a proper piece of work. I'm in.
This is simply Genius!!!! 😮😮😮😊
🤣
We'll all be laughing even more when you make this real in a few months from now, right? Given the rate of advances...
Really though, great stuff putting this tech together and explaining the breakdown.
Looking forward to your demo tracks Torley!
bro why are u not uploading videos used to see every videos
So ……. It’s a sophisticated jukebox rompler. What’s the scope to manipulate these sounds? That’s what makes it an expressive instrument. Not convinced just yet but I see where it’s going.
This is art
How can i download it? Or is it just webb based?
"Make a detailed, intricate, beautiful symphony with three movements, mix styles of Beethoven and Vivaldi with bits of Drum'n'bass and Rammstein, produced in the style of Trevor Horn, mixed by Stephen Lipson. Make 10 of those." 😛
Was 'Just an Illusion' an SH-1000? What settings? I'd like to recreate it...
...I went down a bit of a rabbithold and found the gearspace thread where they solved the mystery - ua-cam.com/video/xfcPry3pkAg/v-deo.html
it worked so well for me. I wanted to sound like poop - and I got the perfect sound
Now i would like to know where is the human creativity.
why would I ever want to design a sound by typing in words hoping it will sound good or how I want it instead of just tweaking some knobs in vital?
HAHA! Needless to say that "rabid pigs eating a baby" did not sound how I expected.
Sadly many more projects like that will come out, not limited to that one day of the year ;)
Hahaha 😂 April Fools! I like how the acronym is APRIL.
Its create a perfect sound from first attempt. Relay game changing tool
Love ya Luftrum - best April Fool’s ever 🍷
So essentially AI will generate infinite versions the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack.
You got me, I was about to download and share with my musician friends…. Brilliant!
This will happen within one year, it's probably already possible to make.
I put the prompt “poop dub step fart bass” and got some phat tones
I was like "There is no F'ing way", boy was I right...
Synapse Audio DUNE 3.52 has this SynthGPT (Genetic) for never unheard sounds
Give me back my tears of emotion. 😅😅
ironically this would be a great idea and easily available for free to the general public but I'm guessing that if we're ever actually created it would be behind a massive pay wall and people who suck at music would be complaining that it's killing creativity
Ah, but can it only emulate well-known sounds from well-known artists, or can it make other sounds too? E.G. can you ask it to emulate chiptune sounds, or Sega Mega Drive Yamaha YM2612 sound chip sounds? What vocabulary does it recognise?
It's absolutely freakin' amazing technology! I'll never use any other VST or DAW. Especially when i need to get results this specific. GOOD JOB!
Had me there for a minute... Funny stuff!
Soooo, Fadr now made this
Cap! Every search I put in trolled me with that early youtube song prank lol
Check the date, people!
Best ever totally awesome !!!
I love the subtitle name for it 😅
I hope this doesn't happen because ... 1, there is no fun in this. 2, I like that it takes some skill that you have to learn to do these things and a lot of us have spent decades learning our craft, we don't always know what we want so typing or saying some words just isn't enough when you're actually trying to be creative!. 3, no doubt a lot of people would jump on this, anything from getting away of actually putting in some real work yourself. Something like this imo could really damage music in general.
Too good to be true, obviously
such amazing sounds!! I used it today to score my whole youtube channel
It will be real in not such a distant future, but I prefer twisting knobs and discover the unexpected to create something unique.
