Crossed Pigtails and Messy Buns | Q's Hairdos

- This is a fun style where you can mix up how to do the strands. Add braids, twists, both or just slick them with a spray gel (linked below) and cross them over. Start with damp hair and a center part all the way down the back.
Use spray gel or SoCozy Styling Cream to tame flyaways. (I will link the products below)
A tip is to place your finger at the nape and take your comb from the crown down to your finger.
Use a clip to keep one side out of the way.
We started on the right side and split the hair into 4 sections about 2-3 inches wide, securing each with an elastic.
Do the same on the other side. (I'm going to speed up right here for sake of time)
Now that you have all 8 ponytails secured we will add more SoCozy Styling Cream to tame the ponies.
We will add rope twists to the top two ponies by splitting in half.
Twist the strands to the right and cross over to the left, twist to the right, cross to the left, all the way to the end of the strands, or until they reach the second pony on the opposite side.
When you have one side twisted secure it to the second pony on the opposite side with an elastic.
Repeat on the other side.
For the second ponies we will add three strand braids.
Secure with an elastic on the opposite side. Then repeat to the second pony on the other side.
For the third ponies on the left and right side we will add another rope twist.
Secure each twist to the opposite fourth pony.
Now you can leave it as pigtails as shown here.
Or you can add our signature messy buns.

Leaving the elastic on your fingers split the pony in half.
Curl one half up and hold with your fingers.
Curl the bottom half down and hold with your thumb as you pull the remaining elastic over the top of the bun.
Curl the ends and tuck them back into the elastic adjust ends for your desired look.
Add bows and you are finished!

To remove the rubber bands I have this comb that has a small knife just for that

Another cute option would have been to use a 4 strand brain on the final criss cross. It would be a beautiful display of the different braids
