    Thanks for sharing this amazing recipe. Attempted it and it tasted divine. But I will need to think of another cooking process as my base got burnt on the stove and was a bit raw from the middle. Will attempt it again but will try baking in the oven instead.

    Hello Everyone... finally Managed to finish my Makati Wa Siniya video...my apology for the delay, as have been quite busy its Ramadhan.
    It's almost 25 years I have been making this makati and trust me it's never a flop..even my first attempt. I grew up watching my mum making this makati on the charcoal jiko struggling all the way..But now the Amazing part is I have never used charcoal but I use gas and grill. There are few very important TIPS you should follow.. this recipe is so simple with less Ingredients but comes out soft and divine. All the best...If there is any question please don't hesitate I will try by best to help. We all make mistakes... So far my recipe has helped many many people without fail. Thank you for the feedback when I uploaded the Makati siniya photos.
    Important TIPS#
    1. While blending the rice make sure it's completely smooth and start with one cup coconut milk.
    Keep the mixture near warm place for atleast one hour to rise. ( keep mine inside microwave).
    2. The Measurement for coconut milk is 2 1/4 cup. (As there's an error mistake inthe video) after blending one cup for atleat 5 minutes to get smooth consistency.
    3. Soak the rice previous night.
    4. Cook on very low heat for 20 minutes. Then transfer inthe heated grill.
    INGREDIENTS:
    1. Rice...1 cup & 1 handful (I use 250g cup)
    2. Coconut milk ... 2 & 1/4 cup
    3. 1 full teaspoon Yeast
    4. 1/2 teaspoon cardamon powder
    5. 3/4 cup white sugar.
    6. 1 Tablespoon Ghee.

      What would be the coconut milk replacement if we can't get fresh coconut? How much creamed coconut can be used instead?

    • @zahidajin7041
      @zahidajin7041 4 роки тому +2

      @@jewellerybynasira3693 yes nasira good question... just pour the coconut milk or coconut cream in a bowl then just add warm water into the bowl to get exact consistency the Measurement should be 2 1/4 cup...250g.

    • @neelamv
      @neelamv 4 роки тому

      Zahida Jin Hi, is that 250g including the added water?

    • @zahidajin7041
      @zahidajin7041 4 роки тому

      @@neelamv yes I'm using 250gm of tin.. so when you're blending the fresh coconut use 2 and 1/4 tin of the coconut milk.

    Assalamu alaikum. Made this , and it was super Alhamdulillah. Jazakallah for the detailed step by step recipe.
    Only problem I got was it got a little burnt in the base in the centre .. how do you regulate the heat such that it does burn ? I kept on medium high the whole time .
    Secondly, if I want to double up the measurements , does the cooking time stay the same ? 20 minutes ?

    • @ZahidaCulinaryArt

      Waleikum Salaam, JazakALLAH for your feedback, it should be cooked at very low heat, and the time stays the same. Thanks for watching!
