Just found this and subscribed. Great video. What do you do if you're going from Seattle to Hawaii as an example by yourself when you're sleeping? Auto pilot seems risky. Is there a Auto feature that simply holds the location or does one use the anchor ? Is that effective if the water is deeper than the anchor can reach?
One of the nicest boats you've featured . Small but perfectly formed ( almost like a pocket battleship ) and that interior is a masterpiece !! Beautifully laid out and insanely creative mix of materials . I'm copying that colour palette for my van conversion interior!! thanks for the tour

Hi John. So good to see the fuller version of this little ship, i was impressed by the short of it you posted earlier. Nice fresh interior too however im not too sure of the catermaran style 'hutch' entries to the second cabin and utility room, maybe Setac could have a solution 😎 Lots of underdeck storage voids for stocking up on dry goods for long term liveabourd, and the price is very reasonable too. A lot to like & a few things not to like on these sister 50 footers. I would change forward cabin's access, giving the port guest cabin a head with shower. Maybe a port door for the pilothouse & interior stairs to the upper deck/ flybridge. Always more fuel & refrigeration.
very European, practicality and simplistic styling, reminds me of a Swedish sauna in many ways, functionality without any fuss, the log burner could be in the lounge and have a wood store next to it may be !

Clever boat, looks capable. The wheelhouse is set far forward near the bow -- I wonder if it would pitch uncomfortably there in rough head seas? Similarly, the main stateroom in the bow would tend to rise up and down a lot in head seas. I didn't notice a generator in the engine space -- does the boat have one? The yacht is a nice size to get into smaller areas. The layout is nice but the second cabin is odd and it would be too tight and uncomfortable.the decor is not my taste.other than that nice yacht for the Caribbean, going from island to island. But nice little yacht for a couple.for $1.339 million is a little high for a small yacht. Maybe $900,000.00 To $1.1 million ish
Some good creative ideas with regards to accommodation on this boat, however I am not attracted to the modern design direction that the boating industry is heading. I miss the beautiful traditional designs of the 60's Fairmiles and the Feadship steel canoe shaped hulls.
I am quite sure this is a capable and reliable vessel, but one word I would not include in a description is “comfortable”. The salon, dining area, and staterooms all appear less than comfy. Whether or not the decor is to my taste is immaterial. There is a boat that appeals to everyone. Having said that, for the price, there are a lot of other boats that would step to the front of the line over this one. Thanks for showing it though. It’s always good to see boats that are not common or cookie-cutter.

I THINK I admire this boat. I don't understand the purpose of the texture of the hull, so maybe he wanted texturing to avoid the obviousness of dents? Not a fan of those gull wing doors to access the lower cabins.
Believe it or not a a lot of boats have small wood burning heaters. And you get wood the same place you get food. Do you look at the fridge and say, “where do you get food in the middle of the ocean”?
I must admit that it is a beautiful boat but dumping all this money into a depreciating asset like an boat is stupid and crazy. Right now interest rates for homes are at all time high and buying a house is harder than ever for most Americans. Also these boats are money pits that depreciate like crazy. After you get tired of boat life and want to go back into a house, it will be much more difficult to get back in due to increasing home prices and higher interest rates throughout the nation. I bought an old 3bed and 2bath single family house in San Jose California for 800K in 2019. Now it is worth $1.4M and interest rates are at 7%! Unless you guys are already very wealthy, it is all fun and games until reality hits.

It seems like the current owner wasted no time selling this boat. They had it for about a year and now it's for sale. What's up with that? I'm sure they found that they wanted something bigger.

Normally when I see the interior of a MY, I see what I expect, but this time I said, "Oh, WOW!" LOVE the interior! Looks more like a cabin in the woods on a lake! Exceptional!!
Refreshingly different design. Loved everything except the wood-burning stove next to the aft door & the removable panel(s) in the galley. Too much burn risk & unnecessarily fussy, respectively, imo. No real idea of what that hole in the sole was all about. Funnel to pour water on head of tardy watch relief sleeping below ? Not a fan of tall vertical fridges in such a small boat, either; open that during/after rough seas & watch the waterfall of smashed stuff pour out.
Some modern boats just don't do it for me. An explorer long range yacht with a 1.2mtr draft and a big flat open stern would be great to explore lakes, canals and bays. I would not like to take a boat to sea that sits on top of the water no matter how good and modern it looks.
Their website claims 0.5L fuel for 1nm. Means with a 3000L tank this yacht got a 6000nm rang if you can believe that claim. Finally a proper long rang "long range" boat, unlike those with barely 900nm.
In the video he said 6 litres an hour at 8 knots, I find that very difficult to believe. Half a litre per nm is pie in the sky for this boat surely. What a fabulous boat though...
As always love your videos and the details and just the informative nature of them, Its definitely unique and cool, but one regular size cabin in a 50 footer, im not sure, not to mention the way you have to enter the 2nd cabin and utility room is gonna be less than accommodating, you wouldn’t be able to leave anything on the counters. I will never have the means to own something like this but boy would I love to. Only downside is I'd have to spend probably an extra million or two to get it custom fitted to accommodate my wheelchair
So far for me this one is the best 2-4 person on board long-range boat ive have seen. there are few part which in my view can be modified to make it better 1. secondary room make it larger 2. helm seat .. and im not sure if it design can suit for a larger engine to gain faster speed eg top speed ups to 30 knot. if the cabin deck floor raised up to another 20-30 inches in height surely it would give more space..
She is pretty, BUT I prefer old steel search & rescue style where the real robust and redundancy systems are. Need some elbow grease work is a pleasure for those boats.

As a yacht carpenter-I’d keep a nice “expensive” carpet to roll out on the aluminum aft deck in the sun . Teak decking gets extremely hot as well .

Brilliant design, that high roof through the centre gives a look of huge space and the overall is very homey feeling.

Very well thought out boat, looks tough. A laundry chute or chart locker is my guess for the helm hole, possible cat storage maybe?😅
