I will compile what I believe to be the greatest quotes of animated cartoon characters proceeded by a clip show set to a song I feel embodies the Character,this time being Nightcrawler. Mariah Raichert well not biologically. Only in the sense that Mystique cared for Rogue like she was her own daughter. Symbolically yes they are siblings in a way. The movies never introduced Nightcrawler's half brother, Graydon Creed Jr. The son Mystique had with Sabertooth.

Nightcrawler is probably the most compassionate superhero of all time. He has a huge heart for everyone and he is a prime example that shows that you don't judge a book by it cover. He may have the appearance of a demon, but he has the heart of a angel.
He needs a movie of his own!!

He shows time and time again in comics and movies why he is the heart and soul of the X-Men. Hell his death was so heartbreaking in the comics, it made Logan depressed, and his resurrection ended the feud between two x-men factions that had been going on for years. He's just so good and caring a person. Even as a mutant, he's one of the most human members of the X-Men cast.

It helps that Kurt knows what it's like to be discriminated against. He's had to face prejudice based just off how he looks (many people think of him as a demon and a monster just by looking at him, instead of getting to know him), as such, he embodies the Christian values of loving and respecting all others. Kurt has never been the type to hold a grudge against anybody, and truly believes that the God he believes in is a loving one.

I'm always so delighted by how Kurt's adoptive parents just fished a fuzzy blue betailed little creature out of a river and instead of flipping out or calling the cops they're just like "IT'S FREE SON!" and took him in, no questions asked or authorities contacted XD

My dad was not into cartoons but knew I was in X-Men and I told him about Nightcrawler back when I was like 8. While I was at my grandma's house, I couldn't watch x-men: The animated series because they didn't have FOX, but my dad called me one time while I was there and said that Nightcrawler was a "Christian" and how he thought that was really cool (He, my mother and pretty much my whole family on both sides are Christian). I didn't believe him until I saw that episode a few months later and when I did, I was stoked because that was the first time I saw "Religion" mentioned in a cartoon.
Personally, I'm an atheist. But Nightcrawler, he's just so great in so many aspects.
@@sericae It's really one of the great things about X-Men. You have a Christian (Nightcrawler), an atheist (Colossus), a Jew (Kitty Pryde), and a pagan (Storm), all of whom are heroes and batting for the same team.

That’s the thing about X-men that I love, though it’s primarily about being against racism, it also has the theme which plays into that which is no matter who you are, no matter what you look like, no matter what you believe, no matter where you come from, no matter what your past is, we are all human and we should, at the very least, treat each other kindly.
It also shows that people can change, with a number of their villains, at one point or another, have become heroes. to name a few Magnito, Mystic, Scarlet Witch, Quick Silver, Emma frost, Rouge and more.
And the fact that the main villain, magnito, has a relatable back story that, although most wouldn’t do, people can understand why he does what he does is amazing.
I love Nightcrawler! He's what I call "a gentleman in demon's clothing." At first glance, he's quite alarming to look at. But, once you get past that, his true character comes out. I can relate to him very closely. I have autism, he's a mutant. We've been called a lot of things, but, at the end of the day, we're like everyone else, just different.

My favorite mutant. When he died, I cried. When I saw him in heaven, I cried from joy. Then they brought him back and now I pray they give him his own series again. Or at the very least, his own team.

Nightcrawler`s German but because his actors are Canadians,Americans,Scots,Aussies etc. some of them are decent at the accent, others are passable at best.
@@shadowkittycat97 Liam O` Brien really was not great at the German accent IMHO but he captured Kurt`s kind,swashbuckling personality in a way no previous adaptation outside of The Comics and that cutscene in MARVEL Ultimate Alliance ever had so that more than made up for it!

It’s still the case in 97. Though he does show up pretty late, but when he does show up he is a much needed shoulder of support for the team. Especially since storm left, and especially with rogue. Even in the ladder he still shows compassion even though rogue said some pretty shitty stuff to his face. But it’s because he’s still compassionate enough to understand that people say things they otherwise wouldn’t when grieving

I always loved Nightcrawler from X-men. He was my favorite out the them and second was Wolverine. I thought he was beautiful just the way he was.

Nightcrawler had always been an amazing character. One thing I noticed though. in the X-Men 90's cartoon, he is German with German accent. In Wolverine and the X-Men, he is German with a German accent. In X-Men Evolution he is vaguely Asian looking with a German/Somewhat Asian accent. Nothing wrong with any of the interpretations, just interesting.
1 of the things 2 loved about Nightcrawler in "Wolverine and the X-Men" was just like in the comics...
1) he threatened to kill bad people, but did it like a gentleman.
2) was a professional swashbuckler who fights pirates.

Honestly kurt is the only person i can think who could come close to replacing pete in the mcu, both have a high moral code, both crack jokes, and of course both are acrobats

I like when the American writers don't double-check with actual German speakers first and he ends up speaking laughably incorrect German. My favorite is still the part in the comics when he called Kitty "Leibchen" instead of "Liebchen", lol. I think he also once called her "Katzchen" instead of Kätzchen, etc. I always just mentally attributed it to him being Bavarian, because that's practically Greek to me anyway, so you could claim everything he says is bayrisch and I really couldn't argue otherwise. 🤣
Nightcrawler being a Christian is so random to me... yet it just makes him all the more awesome.

I wouldn't call him an evangelist. An evangelist is someone who actively tried to convert someone to religion. I don't think Nightcrawler really fits that description as he generally is more accepting of others differences and does not insist others become Christian.

I'm proud of my Nightcrawler tattoo... it's super cool but very spiritually deep... we all have witnessed prejudices or have had things happen to us in life that aren't fair... so this character embodies who I am.. been thru alot... but i still choose to love others and have fun and enjoy life and keep my faith strong despite hardships...

Sophia Wilson nightcrawlers father is azazel, his mother is mystique, his mother had shapeshifted to look a a normal human woman and was living in germany, at the time she was married to a man name christian wagner, she then met azazel, azazel got her pregnant, mystique killed wagner, then gave birth to nightcrawler, but during labor her disguise fell and her and baby nightcrawler were chased out for looking like demons, she then later abandoned nightcrawler whle he was a baby

It's weird how in X-Men Evolution how Kurt calls himself "Furry". Why would he have fur? Neither of his parents did. Both had smooth skin.

We know in X men Evo that Magneto experimented on Kurt when he was just born. 'Genetic Experimentation on Mutants'. So Magneto was responsible for him growing up in torture.
By the way, we don't know who his father is in Evo. How can you say his father don't have fur when it is never shown anyway. Same with Wolverine and the Xmen.
+The Whisperer of Death I know who his dad is though. His name is Azaezel. Not to be confused with the devil. Kurt got his teleporting abilities as well as his devilish appearance (not skin) from him.
Finally, a non-American hero in US media that's not just a character from outer space, an Asian character to feed the "Asian stuff is trendy" machine, a character from a made-up country, or a foreign character that's been "yank-washed" with their accent to sound American. And we wonder why people are up in a bunch over lack of diversity in Hollywood....

When I was a kid, the Nightcrawler used to be the x-man I liked the most, I never knew his full story, neither mine until recently.
Just like him, I discovered to be an outcast by the words of my own mother, before and after being born. Of course, everything is ok, I already forgived her, and will pray for her to forgive herself as well.
What I'm trying to point out is: God is so beautiful, that he speaks to us in his own time, and his time is none, it seems to be one after all.
