Well done. Your channel has become a great educational series and I've enjoyed watching your progress. I wish it had been around years ago when I was just getting started in diyaudio.
The cascode side's distortion spectrum shows mainly odd-order components, proving its greater symmetry along with the input vs. output 'scope waveforms.
On the cascode, am I seeing correctly that the 2nd order is lower than the 3rd? Some folks like it in the other direction. But, it looks like the direct coupled version has way more hash in between the modes, which I assume is IM distortion or something nasty. Those OPTs seem shockingly good for the price of the whole amp.
So i have a question for you i have watched all videos on this unit and thinking of buying it, are all the mods worth it ? its it a good amp in the end ?
It always has time delay of the output signal. In the video the Tek 2235 scope does not show the delay between the input and the output signal. I assume the input signal is at 1KHz. Can someone explain it? My DIY amps always have delay, more delay in the low frequency signal and less delay in the higher frequency. I am studying the time delay impact of the NFB signal to the final waveform. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
The original Reisong owner must be a happy camper after all these mods! 👏👏 Now for the listening tests! And a shootout with your 300B amp....
Indeed!
Beautifully done! I love your simplistic explanation for people like me! Congrats on that mod
Glad it was helpful!

Thank you very much! I myself am still learning, but want to share the process :)
love this channel. I will be student to learn intentionally.
Glad you are enjoying it!

Great video and info. Thank you
You have inspired me to modify my A-50!!!
What a great Chanel you have. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
You are so welcome
Great job I'm learning so much thanks

It does seem to be the clear winner!
Good stuff! I think you said your DIY 300B BOM is updated and available. It WILL be my first amp build!
Hope you like it! It's posted on my website www.skunkiedesigns.com

"Shockingly good"? I see what you did there.
Weedy OPTs, right?

In the end, with all the mods and some 300b-z tubes, it sounds nice.

Huh? When did electricity have any "time delay" over this short of a distance?
