Howa and Tikka are quite possibly the best quality, reasonably priced, off the shelf rifles available. Your accuracy tests prove it. Thanks for the video.
I got a niece a Tikka . That is one sweet gun.
Own 2 tikkas had an howa mini and both are great just bought a cz 600 alpha at half the the tikka price and it's a better shooter and imo better value than both
Howa also makes the Weatherby Vanguard rifles.
@@josephhegedusiii9563I think the Weatherby Vanguards simply have a Howa 1500 action. Regardless, my vanguard in 300 WM is amazing. Agree with all the comments here.
@@alanbates5596 agree that CZ makes excellent rifles but they are not cheaper than Tikka and Howa. Still, CZ is well worth the money.
Howa 1500s are criminally underrated. Nice shooting👌
Here in Oz custom built rifles cost a lot of money so I decided to use a Howa 1500 action to build my 223 Ackley on. Admittedly I put a $600 barrel on the action (Krieger), but the action has not been touched with the standard HACT howa trigger. The results have been outstanding, .25 moa all day. The gun shoots better than I can. Keep the vids coming, cheers mate.
I own 3 Howa 1500's and they are all great one hole shooters at 100 yards and not one of them is ammo sensitive,. Great barrels and good triggers.
Have you got them in Hogue stocks?
The 300 Win. Mag. is versatile if going for larger North American game. Ammo is pretty easy to find with great bullet weight and type selection. I just don't like the thump in a light hunting rifle but I'm busted up.
One thing I love about WTW is the common man approach.
Thanks WTW
Keep'em coming!
Howa has been one of my favorites for years. Top notch rifles.
My son just told me he wanted better optics on his new Howa 1500. After many other firearms projects done. I’m starting on this Howa. This is my first Howa on my bench. So I’m researching Howa rifles. Most firearms I take them down and go through the whole firearm to make mods and make improvements where needed. Doing my research I’m finding that Howa already did that. All I have to do is mount optics and choose a muzzle break. Nice. Should be a quick project.
Love your channel ! You just helped me find my Elk medicine up here in Wyoming. Been looking for a 300 Win Mag. Keep up the great work and good luck on them Mulies!
Appreciate you watching
Have had my 308 1500 for more then 10 years and absolutely love it, gonna get one in 30-06 now.
Fantastic job ❤ Can't wait to see you do the 270 I am waiting for your video because I been looking at the Howa 1500 in the 270.
Nice job. I have 4 Howa's two of the Weatherby Vanguard variety, one S&W 1500 and a mini in 6.5 Grendel (custom carbon stock). All of them shoot great and feel high quality. Additional nice feature is you don't have to wear white soled shoes, skinny jeans, and small glasses to own one!
Another great video! I have a Randy Newberg edition 1500 in 6.5 creed. The deal was too good to pass up. I broke it in on a whitetail last weekend. 125 yd shot using 129gr Hornady American Whitetail rounds and the deer dropped in it's tracks.
The HOWA rifles are one of the best rifles you can buy!
Two groups in a row, Last group with a hot barrel, Impressive, From a budget rifle, Going to buy some of them.
Love my Howa. I really like the mini actions also, if you don't need the long boolits. I have mine in a 6.5 Grendel with a 20 MOA rail and a 5-25 x 44 scope. Mine seems to do at least that well with my can. I did install it into a Boyd's At-One Thumbhole stock which is really nice.
Love that cartridge one of the best for long range hunting
Always wanted to try a Howa 1500 , they build a very high quality rifle. They also used to make the Smith &Wesson rifle and the Weatherby vanguard. Most low priced rifles use cheaper manufacturing materials and techniques, soldered bolt handles, add on recoil lugs ,plastic trigger guard and magazine? Howa has one piece forged bolt and handle, forged receiver and recoil lug, bottom metal trigger guard floor plate mag box all metal hammer forged barrel and the bolt is too less strippable!
The Howa 1500 never let me down. Excellent rifle for the money
Can't beat those groups with a magnum cartridge.
Diggin the hoody and cap... told my gf that's what I want for Christmas lol!
Weatherby Vanguard is a cleaned up Howa 1500. They are outstanding rifles. Lighten the trigger and the groups get smaller.
I agree the Tikka and Howa/Weatherby have been the best shooters out of the box.
I have a 700 BDL 300 WM. with a Hogue. It also punches .5 in groups with my hand loads. It lays the deer, elk and black bears down with prejudice! 180 gr. Barnes TSX at 3115 fps.
Awesome. I own three 1500's for that (those) reasons. Keep it up and good luck with the mule deer!
Impressive combo that HOWA 1500 and sharpy mushrooms. 0.5 MOA with a cartridge that is the anti-thesis to modern cartridge design 😁, short neck bullets seated deep.
Would be interesting to see how big of a shift you without the can, probably a lot given how thin that barrel is
I love mine. .270 with a vortex scope. Norma whitetail seems to be what it likes to shoot.
I have the same rifle in .300 win mag, mine shots the same with Norma Bondstrike. If you read the ammo box 1.4 " high at 100 yds will put you at zero at 200 yds. Great video
Great show! Very impressive for a budget rifle!
I have a 1500 in 7mm Rem Mag with an Arken EPL 4-16x44 and a Boyd’s At-one stock.
Great set up.
Howa has a good trigger. I’m impressed with their accuracy too
Really appreciate what you do and the content is family friendly huge thanks for that!!!
Thanks for watching!
@@WHOTEEWHOin your opinion what is the most accurate or best 300 win mag for a person on a budget ($1200)? Thanks and keep up the great work!!!
My son has a older one has taken several deer with it his is chambered in 7mm has a pretty good punch great rifle
Awesome
That's definitely sub MOA...I bet they advertise at 1 MOA. Great rifle, great ammo, great shooting...Awesome video...
I have a howa 6.5 grendel in the oryx stock and with handloads it's moa to 300 yards easily. For the cost it outshoots most everything else I have come across at the range. Its my medium to small game go to rifle.
I was just pulling my buddy's 300wm, and my 308, and 300 BO brass out of the tumbler, and found it amusing that they all shoot the same weight and caliber bullets.
I love Arken scopes!! I have three of them and the quality is amazing. I used one yesterday to cleanly take an elk at 630 yards. Their glass is as good or better than anybody’s!
$ Contributions to the CCP gladly accepted.
@@joelobryan1212hey Joey I bet your typing this on a smart phone contributions to the ccp gladly accepted, hypocrite
I've got a Howa 22-250 it is about 30 years old it a heavy gun and it has a thick barrel.
I Just picked up a mini in 6 ARC and that thing is my new favorite rifle!!
Thin barrel and a suppressor 🔥🔥🔥
Shot my first with the core-lokt tipped last week. Ran about 30 yards with a less than desirable shot. 200 yard shot. They group great just need some more subjects to see if I’ll stay with them. Long time core-lokt psp user.
Awesome
My Weatherby Vanguard in .300 WM has a Howa 1500 action. Love the rifle. However, I had to try like 6-7 different rounds to find something it loved. Found the 200gr Federal Initial Ascent and the 150gr Hornady SST rounds grouped like his Howa here. Very affordable awesome rifles. Confident if I threw an MDT stock on it it would get even more accurate. No need though for my purposes.
Great rifle! I love 300 win mag!!! You should try a Ruger M77 Alaskan in 300 win mag, mine does great also!!! Love to see you do a video on the Alaskan! Please!!!?
I already have a video up on that one 👍👍
@@WHOTEEWHO can’t find it can you send me a link on the Alaskan
I sight all my hog and coyote rigs 1 inch high at 100 so I know my point and shoot range. Figuring your scope is 2.5 inches above bore, If you leave the 300 Win Mag 1 inch high at 100, you are .02 low at 50, 1 inch high at 100, 1.1 inches high at 150, 0 at 200 and not an inch low again until 225 yards. Point and shoot out to 225 without any guess work. Just my two cents worth. Nice groups, nice shooting rifle.
The Howa was purchased from Oliver Toliver in the Manchester holler. You can buy ducks, chickens and geese there, too, and kitty litter.
Sometimes guys just have to have a little fun.
Great combination.49 at 100 yards got me sold
I love my Howa's. I own three that my sons fight over when we all go "deer catchin'".
Great groups for the Howa 1500!! Should make a great mule deer catcher!!
WTW has the best shooting content on the interwebs!
very impressive brother hott-dang that dog ull hunt!! you can knock the pump house clean out of a horned critter easily with them ole tight awesome groups, nothing like a 300 win mag who tee hooo!!!!!
I ditched my Christensen Ridgeline FFT 6.5PRC last week out of general principle. Horrible company in all respects but mostly just dishonest. Anyway that puts me back in the market for a super lite deer catcher.
I'm also disappointed in my Christensen Arms rifles for accuracy ***with a suppressor***. Their sub-MOA guarantee seems to only apply to non-suppressed muzzle break config. Obvoiously CA needs to work on concentricity of muzzle device threading.
good video Adam good accuracy from that rig can't fault that result 👍👍
I really like my Howa 1500 6.5 creedmoor carbon fiber barrel, shoots like a tack driver every time...
make sure you set the zero stop on the turret. they like to spin on you when you take them on a hike.
👍👍
Fantastic Shooting. I have looked through those Arken scopes. I was pretty impressed. I did notice that to dial up the "zoomies" you dial counter clockwise which is different than my Vortex and Leopold scopes.
Glad you're using Arkin! Can't wait to hear your opinion! ❤
My son has a older Howa 7 mag he has had for years several deer has meet their last day
Arken optics are hands down the best scooe for the money nothing comes close to them for value and with a certain codes you get 170$ off Japanese glass whoteewho is gunna get hooked on em and then now have a lpvo awesome video mam nice rig itll smash a mule
I love the Arken, and you will also, took a nice 8 pointer last weekend in Beaufort County NC at 853 yards on my 7prc. I like it better than my $2400 Leupold to be honest
Thanks for video man I’ve been looking at a howa but haven’t order one yet mostly because they don’t offer what I’m looking for yet. Also you will like that scope for sure I’ve got some Arken scopes and they are great for the money and perform way out of their price range. Keep up the good work God bless
I love my Howa 1500 in 6.5CM. It’s sub MOA across all loads.
Greatest cartridge ever made!
Ive been shooting the 1500 in 30-06 for years, thinking about stepping up to the new 1500 deluxe walnut...
I love the Howa1500
Adam , Have you named it yet? How about Minnie Pearl. I left the tag on my 308 . And Jokingly called it Minnie Pearl.😊 I love my Howa 1500 in 7mmMag and my 3006 , 223 and 243 & 6.5 CM. I love my Howa's 😊
I always laugh at the keyboard clowns that yell: "but that Hogue stock ain't free floated!!, you gotta upgrade the stock on em' before day will shoot!!" no clown, the barrel is FULLY free loaded GENEROUSLY and the receiver rides on aluminum pillars to lock it down. They are lights out shooters in that stock...if you want to upgrade the stock, that's purely for YOUR cosmetic desires....
Love Arken optics. It’s got to be the best budget scope on the market.
boogity boogity boogity is the quote of the video LOVE IT
great rifle-ammo combo. great review.
Wow that's the groups you dream about when you get a new rifle. Cheer's
I managed to get myself a 300 win mag Ruger Hawkeye this year as my new hunting rifle. Definitely not budget but it's a great rifle! You should check out the Hornady outfitter ammo. I'll be hunting with it this season and am hoping it'll do the trick for me... It'll be my first time using all coppers
Holy crap that howa shoots!!
Welcome to the brotherhood.. you can't beat Arken optics. The owners are some awesome guys to deal with. I have several Arkens on several calibers.
What a beast. Thanks for sharing WTW. 🤘🏽💪🏽🤘🏽
I’ve got the same rifle in 300 win mag it’s one of the more accurate rifles I’ve shot definitely punches above its price point
Great video brother, always wonderful to see your adventures in life🥰🥰❤️❤️
Always appreciate you watching
Dang it. Just off the title it tells me I should sell my pain in the rear Bergara 300wm and buy a Howa.
Ya think! Bergara🤮
Yeahhhh…. Thinking it’s more like Bergarbage. But, I’m hopeful I can work up some handloads it likes and all will be good in the world. It put regular 180gr corelokt in a 3” group at 100, and I’ve tried 5 other different factory loadings. Only one that shot sub-moa is the SIG 190gr hpbt match that Bergara uses for their MOA guarantee. Reached out to their customer service to hopefully get some ideas…. They don’t guarantee a HUNTING rifle to shoot sub MOA with any HUNTING ammunition. Just match ammo.
Clearly Howa can make one sub MOA capable with hunting ammunition.
Impressive results......well done.
Nice, just like my Tikka. I'll have to try that ammo. Thanks for the video.
Happy days mate. She’s a shooter! Does the beefy Arken make it weigh that bit much or you good with that?
I used the SH4 gen for my bench rig and it was mint! Great glass for good price!
Tossing the idea around about getting one
CVA CASCADE 28 NOSLER NEXT 👀👀👀👀👀 I want to see a 28 Mosley review from you
I like the muzzle brake I've got a muzzle brake on my 300 WSM it is a boss and brake.
Love a Lead Sled rest BUT always recheck your zero After using one , it Can be different
I won’t say I’m not a little jealous of my friends Christiansen Arms rifle, but my Savage shoots just as well, if not better. I put an Arken 6-24 on my 6mm creedmoor precision rifle. Great for the money, but I haven’t made up my mind if I like the reticle.
i LOVE my Howa, and my Tikka both I think are the best value for the money. Shoot awesome. You should love that optic. I have 6 of those and they are quite frankly, the best for the money on the market.
I saw one of these rifles today, and did it look nice!
Great groups good luck 🍀 on your Mule deer hunt.
I would like to see you test Fort Scott Munitions 300 Win Mag 175gr TUI ammo.
Every body told me that this wouldnt work,i took a 300 wm encore barrel and cut it down to 18 inchs ,put muzzle break on it, hand loaded up different loads settled on 125 gr copper bullets , with 80 grns of imr 4831 fps is 3350 and dont kick, and shoots 1/2 groups at 100yds
I have the ep5 Arken scope and ai love it
I just got the Arken EPL4. Gotta get a new bing bang for it but after this video I’m thinking about a howa now
You picked a winner my friend
Love my Howa’s (actually one is branded Weatherby Vanguard). I get .3 moa with the target setup and .75 with no effort, using factory 140 grain bullets for hunting. I do reload for both and get much better accuracy but for rifles under 600 bucks and an affordable budget optic on each they perform as well as rifles I have worth two to three times more expensive.
I would be extremely excited if I could shoot anything that well. You are a great "bullet slinger"!
Love my Arken but dang theyre heavy.
I new it was a 300win mag best rifle in North America
Amazing groups and nice optic a big 👍🏻.
our Howa is hitting 30” rock at 670 yards multiple times. Then third round hit at over 900 yards on larger rock.
rock on
I have that exact rifle with zeiss glass. It is the cheapest tack driver I've ever owned.
Its about time you got a decent table to shoot from!
Great combo I'm pretty happy tonsee this
Nice barrel break in!!!
