The fact that we’re not only able to place all of these tiles now, but that they’re neatly condensed into a single item is fantastic
I did talk to one of the devs on twitter about the possibility of being able to place these (with some other people) and they said it would be an insane amount of work to make hundreds of items and recipes, as well as it would produce a lot of inventory clutter. So nice to see they didn't just give up on the idea and figured out how to make it work in a cool way.
Once the solution clicked, everything fell into place! It became a much, much more reasonable project!
They've done an absolutely amazing job on this tool. I never thought I'd see 200+ items in one. It's so smart

with means they understand what you wanted, because u did not want the recipes they took the goal of what u wanted, and made it the best way possible.

YES! in the past I always would make my builds around the naturally forming debris and simply build around them. Only to be heart broken when I miss click and throw the whole build off. This is a game changer (and sanity saver!)
Yes! This! We had an enchanted sword shrine in TerraCorps near Blue's base that everyone was terrified to build around. Now we don't have to be!
@@Khaios I know right! I decided to make a custom shrine on one of my building worlds and it felt like I was preforming open heart surgery. Can't wait to see the possibilities this update will add for the community though, now that everyone won't be sweating when building around that one detail that ties the build together!

@@milkman4407 The Rubblemaker-placed version of the Sword Shrine can only turn into an Enchanted Sword, and not a Terragrim.
@@DarkerCompanion no it was a natural one so what if someone was being clumsy and while it was still a natural one broke it and it became a terragrim which Khaios has said is not placeable
At first I wasn't expecting much, but you weren't exaggerating- this is such a good addition!! I've been wanting something like this for years.
When they asked me if I wanted to make a spoiler video, I never expected it would be my dream item, either. I was so pleasantly surprised!
When you started talking about the struggle of not being able to use the natural debris, my jaw dropped at the ideas. This looks amazing, so glad you got to show us, and excited for the videos showing how to use this to the fullest!
The Rubblemaker is definitely a game changer for builders and map creators.
I can guarantee that, one day, I’ll absentmindedly place an enchanted sword that took an obscene amount of money to reforge to legendary with this thing and have to start all over because breaking it gives a completely unmodified sword.
That's why I put the goblin in a cage -.-
well luckily the tool is hardmode-only, so by that point you have better weapons anyways

fairy logs have functions, so chances are they sadly can't be renewable, but who am I to tell?
@@OmoriSupportsPalestine_143 they most likely will be placeable with wood, they just won't spawn fairies, though the stump still looks cool.
Leinfors said on discord that they arent included for now since they arent normal rubble. I hope they add it as a furniture piece or something.

As a bit of an amatuer builder myself... this is hype.
Something that I've wanted to do in Terraria for a while is basically redesign some of the natural structures of the game, and this basically let's me be even more detailed than I otherwise would make it.
That tree with the branches did look very realistic
I think a good way of adding pots is just making them out of clay then you can put items in them that would come out when broken with a tool not just a weapon

Im honestly excited mainly because this means potentially a new building guide that goes over the Labor of Love update like you did with the Journey mode update

OMG the tree at the end. THAT. That alone makes this thing shine, but you could also use snow or ice I bet to make wintry or spring trees. WOW.
I really didn't think there would be something better building wise than being able to paint over illuminant paint and the addition of echo "paint". But this, this is just next level, its amazing how re-logic always listen to the community and if something is highly requested they'll add it sooner or later. This is why i love them so much

All the little tents and other objects have always fascinated me. Nobody ever talks about them yet the world of Terraria just wouldn’t be the same without them.
Khaios just made a 9 minutes video about a new shovel that can make cool rocks and I enjoyed it.
Re-Logic is going down in history as one of the GOAT game developers. Cannot state enough my admiration and gratefulness for their continued dedication. "Labor of Love" is an understatement for sure

the way Khaios speak about rubblemaker , feels like that shopping channel in TV
I cannot wait to use this tool, I have wanted this for a long time but always thought it would be too fiddly and end up very "non modded" feeling (like how its done in chad's furniture mod). This addittion is beyond anything I could have imagined. with the echo paint, improved void bag, rope+platforms, and the rubblemaker - the labour of love update is shaping up to be more of a "builders update" - and there are no complaints from this terrarian!
I just realised the deerclops roaring at the same time as the singing with the music which is very smart.
Its the little things like this that make this game one of the greatest of all time. And I say little things - but this is HUGE, love how many things you can add. That tree looked amazing, cant wait to see what other things like this we can all make.
If it's not already, the Terragrim should also be usable to make the Enchanted Sword Shrine. That way you can make one that gives said weapon in an adventure map, or to gift it to someone as a surprise.
That tree you build with the roots inside the leaves looks amazing. Its so smart to use it that way!
as a builder, i absolutely love this new addition, as it makes building so much easier and more fun, thank you relogic for improving your game 100x more than it already was.

As for that teaser at the end. My mind initially went to echo plating, but on closer inspection the block sizes don't quite line up. It appears that the enchanted sword shrine is rendering behind the background walls, possibly a type of plating like the echo plating. It would give a nice even four plating data values, including illuminant plating.
Compare the natural sprite versus what he has. The blade is more complete, plus slightly off centre. I think that's some block or wall that he's placed himself.But it also seems very thin to be a wall. If anything maybe it's tungsten, but I suspect maybe there's some echo painted blocks next to it or something.

It could almost be a logic gate lamp, but I thought they were placed on the same layer as the background objects. Unless that's changed too.

Not even a builder really but I've been experimenting here and there and this would make a very cool addition to messing around on builds. Relogic are honestly the best developers out there.

Knew it was a bad idea to keep working on pittaus building mod, i just felt like it wasnt nessasary. Another idea i had and i hope they add are custom trees.
Looks awesome for the amazing content creators in terraria to utilize! Just the simple build you managed in this short video clearly showed the strengths of this tool for creating beautiful designs.

This is amazing. I feel like it will also help get more people into building too considering how detailed all the rubble is and how previously, it seemed only to be blocks to build with for those who don't build including myself. Too excited for this!

I'm thinking of just reduxing that series entirely, because it was fun the first time, and my building style has changed a bit since then. I might be able to do better builds. I do also want to do minibosses next time.
And also an event version of the series.
And redo the town npc version of the series.

My only hope is that we can place the Terragrim in its own sword shrine. I've had a couple adventure map ideas based around it but I don't want to use a chest to give it to the player. Other than that this is arguably the best change to building since the AGP
