Hey, Khaios, im a huge fan of what you do and of all your builds and have just 1 question, how do you know what materials to use, and where to get them? Might just be me not knowing much but I feel it might help me improve my building. Love the video by the way, just gotta wait until a possible crossplay update to pull these off!
Hey Khaios, I found a little interesting fact about the Aether Monolith. If activated, it’ll make any tile that doesn’t provide light or has no light source illuminating it, it’ll just appear as the aether starry background. Which means you can use blocks like meteorite brick all you want and it won’t appear as the starry background. Maybe give it a try some time.
I love the tnt barrel. Explosives were a fun idea, but I would hate that they destroyed blocks. Now that we have tnt and we can even echo coat them? Now I can do it as much as I want without harming the world or builds lol
@@ulises2084 Not sure about tnt's damage, but land mines only deal 250 damage, easily survivable by most characters. Will need to do further "testing" to see how much tnt does.
Better yet, combine the invisible cobweb idea with invisible tnt barrels and watch as your friend accidentally sets of the barrels while clearing their house of invisible cobwebs
I absolutely love how wholesome Khaios is. There’s no “place dynamite and movement sensors under your friends’ house!” Nothing that will cause long term consequences. It’s literally just “Trick them into doing usual stuff, but turn it into traps!” It’s really nice. And hell, they feel like they got pranked. They won’t feel like they got harassed or bullied. It’s just a standard “ahh, you got me!” Nothing harmful, nothing hurtful. Hell, if you’re lucky, they’ll respect the creativity and execution of the prank. Thank you Khaios, you’re a real inspiration to us all!

A hoik tutorial would be excellent; Every time I've tried to find a decent tutorial, nothing I try works and I end up giving up; Those little elevators you made looked absolutely nifty
Now I’m imagining a Dungeon Guardian Trap Obtained from Skeletron in Hardmode Can be connected to activators with wire (sensors, pressure plates, etc.) Spawns a Dungeon Guardian that only targets the activator and their teammates Usable anywhere
Another new prank: put actuators on some blocks covering shimmer, and echo coat some pressure plates above it, and when they walk above they will fall into the shimmer and fall through the world! (You can also fill in blocks all the way to the underworld so it takes a while)
1.since shimmer will teleport you back up after 20 seconds, you could either leave little gaps to refresh the time or use teleporters/portals to trap them (you could also put a teleporter back at the beggining to make them suffer infinitely) 2.make a hoik loop but put shimmer every couple blocks so they cant use anything to get out 3.echo coat a aether monolith so dark builds will just show up as star background 4.remove a wall that is hard to see (e.g behind furniture) from your friends house to make it invalid, this is better then the stinkbug blocker since ther wont notice it for a while 5.make Khaios heart this comment (hahahahahhaahhaahahahaaahaahha trolled heheheheehehehehhehehehehehehe) but still cool vid but I have no friends to use them on
Playing in the Everything seeds. I usually don't have time to inspect it. So I start assuming all life crystals could be a boulder and mine it from a safe distance.
2:58 I have a much more devious idea for this trap (only works pre plantera tho) Instead of placing down lava, cheat in some lizhard bricks (from endgame / journey char) and make the surrounding area filled with Lizhard bricks. Add some enemy statues if you are feeling extremely devious.

I was laughing and wheezing through this entire video. XD Wonderful. Recently started playing again and found myself getting a weirdly large number of whoopie cushions, so I was like "HUR HUR LET'S THROW THEM INTO THE SHIMMER". I expected nothing, so imagine my evil chortling when that first gas trap popped out. Also, not gonna lie, I think the best pranks are the ones that suddenly and inexplicably make a player go POOF. The hoik trick is hysterical, though!

Thanks for making this, my friend recently found the bottomless honey bucket and well, they didn't realise that you have to get a different item to take it away. Some of our npc's drowned so I think it's coming towards them
Uhhh I might be wrong but that “Echo Coat the build” idea sounds like it’s on the border of griefing? As far as I understand if you want to remove the coating instead of using the Echo Chamber as an indefinite solution you’ll need to remove the actual paint underneath as well, right?
I'm working on a special dungeon puzzle for spooky day for my friends. I'm also setting Dungeon guardians within the regular underground until they clear the dungeon to get to Skeletron.
One of my favourite ways to prank someone us by leaving patches of coloured solid honey. It slows you down significantly and can be used in a similar way you've shown cobwebs
Not gonna lie, I was pretty shocked when I opened up a chest and was literally gassed, getting a poison debuff for 2 minutes (which was fatal, in my case). 1.4.4 has some of the weirdest yet best additions.

if you want to be even more evil with shimmer, you could echo paint some pumps and bubble blocks, and have their spawn just randomly surrounded in a box of shimmer ;)
hey khaios, Could It be possible to release an updated build tips world with all your new builds, maybe including the updated shimmer biome. It would be amazing to see your builds up close and take notes on different things
once there was a survival server that someone made and for some reason i had access to it even though i don’t know the people who made it and just went in and summoned the frost moon and 2 mech bosses (skeletron prime not included) before king slime good thing i did it at 4:25 so it was just 5 seconds and so i just did that to scare them
I'm actually disappointed that we don't get to see these new traps in natural seeds. The secret world seeds has just too many of those traps that kinda ruins the expectation and surprise

You could improve the NPC-less house prank by adding a water candle near their base, causing it, no longer protected by the NPCs' spawnrate reduction, to get absolutely swarmed by enemies.
Imagine saying... Be careful I accidentally put some rolling cactus in your base with Invisible paint and there isn't one there.... Keep on doing It a couple times then when they don't expect it ACTUALLY place them in there bace
i was going on a lil shimmer binge w my friend on the server made a gas trap didnt know anything about it put it in a chest and my friend opened the chest confused laughter ensued xp
4:00 Im a builder and my friends aren't, so I can't wait for them to log in to the default spawn and see that their base is "gone" and when they ask were it went I'll just say I needed some place to build and that they probably weren't using that shoe box anyway! 😈

I love the idea of painting a black candle with echo coating to hide it in someone's base and watch enemies run rampant

There were landmines before. Almost identical to the tnt in functionality, but only obtainable after plantera.

Number 4 is kinda redundant because a valid house doesn't need to have the entire background be walls and you can leave some space empty

another good prank is using hoiks, make a one way box you can only enter, then cover with echo paint. It may give them a few seconds of confusion.

Could you imagine echo coating landmines or pressure plates with wired explosives? Better yet, make them look like rocks.

There’s just one flaw with these pranks, and that flaw being that I need friends who play Terraria.
