That brings back memories of my Dad's 68 F100 Ford Ranger XLT with a 390 4 barrel and three speed on the column. That truck had under dash air but manual steering and non power brakes. Wish I had that truck back.
It was good to see Krissy McManbun enjoy driving the column shift. The ol' three-speed column shift is the best-kept secret in what's fun to drive. Nice truck!
I am not sure what year this truck is. My Ford pickup is 1964 F250 with a 292. I put on headers with a Holly Carb and the 3 speed on the column is replaced with a 4 on the floor. I replaced the 4:10 differential and put in a 373. It now flies down the road. One upgrade I need is to update the Pertronix. I have the original.
Really enjoying the engine tech. I'm building a mild 302 to put in a '88 mustang for a drag car so I'm taking lityle things from your videos to help my build alot
Great job Dude, reminds me of me 35+ years ago when I started wrenching on these old Ford's. As someone else stated hook up that vacuum advance, it'll definitely increase gas mileage and won't hurt performance at all. Going back to your header install I chuckled when you said something about yer dad and the mess. If I came home to my kid makin a mess doing a header install I'd be like HELL YEA!!!, lemme get my rags on so I can help you "F" the driveway up! Gonna be starting my 74 shortly (my last project). Keep it up Dude! Subscribed.
Your videos are pretty kick ass man. It's nice seeing the younger guys like you getting into these older trucks. Alot of guys your age have no interest in that kind of stuff.
I'd put a 8 or 6 inch air filter .I have no room in my c3 for mot then 4. Engine masters did vids on dyno go with dif filters. Very informative. Keep tooling. I'm doing same.
Taller element means more flow. The Engine Masters guys proved that. Two thumbs up. However, I'm surprised you don't having cooling issues with your fan being that far out of the shroud...
I really wish my J10 project would go as smoothly as your projects, I’m like $7k deep into this truck already and the pile still doesn’t work. Just got brand new tires put onto it for my graduation present. It’s a really cool lawn ornament, for everything else it’s a pile and a half
Admiral Sandwich yeah I used to run a edelbrock carb then I went to holley then from a quick fuel and they were both a night and day difference from the edelbrock its a must!
Hey bro, how's it going. what size is your air filter and If you where going to get a bigger one what's the size . I have one but I can't seem to find the right Fit. please help 🙏
Awesome video, keep it up! Also, does anyone know anything that can be done to a stock 64 ford 292ci y-block engine to make it a little more peppy? Preferably on a high school students budget. I know that there really isn's a lot you can do with the older y-blocks, but it would be nice just to see what could maybe be done.
Hey dude nice truck i was just wondering what kind of intake do you have there because i need one for my truck its a 1972 ford f100 i have a 302 engine
The Coronet Shop 198? Chevy pick up at my grandparents house went to back up and instead of reverse I think I was in second and ended up hitting the garage door knocking it off the track and if fell on to my grandma's Firebird and shattered both T-tops and the rear hatch glass, cost me $700 dollars at the pick and pull to replace the tops and hatch, grandpa swindled home owners insurances to cover the garage door.
A couple things. One, NEVER clear coat the intake. With repeated heat cycles it will turn a yellowish gold. I always paint mine Argent silver. That closes the pores for stain resistance and stays looking aluminum. Two, Tune the idle timing by vacuum. The highest vacuum is what the engine likes best. Then adjust your mechanical timing to no more than 36 degrees, and be all in by 3000 RPMs. Then hook up vacuum advance to be no more than 41 degrees. It will run much better than you think. Your throttle tip in hesitation should go away also. These are round about figures, and just ideas for you. I like your videos.
Nice to see a Ford on a channel for a change. As someone already mentioned, make sure you hook up the vacuum advance. I believe it's the small port on the right hand side facing the carb. Don't forget to change springs on it as well. The people at Edelbrock are fantastic. Call the tech line and they will get you a tune that will get your nipples hard😛. LOL Enjoy!!
From experience dont let other people drive your truck... Drive it yourself it will last longer. They will drive hell out of it tear it up and leave you with it. Just saying. 😂
12:23 the one time I did that in my grandpa's 74 Highboy one of the Jets came out of the carburetor and went into the engine. Damn.

What did you do to the vacuum advance to increase mileage?
I put an rpm dual plane and matching carb on my 302 roller I put in my 86 250.... kinda sweet. But I went with HEI dizzy to delete that Dura spark box
Your not using studs. That's why you can't have nice things lol.
Love the way the engine looks
That thing is rad! Sounds sick too! Good job Craig!
Your videos are pretty kick ass man. It's nice seeing the younger guys like you getting into these older trucks. Alot of guys your age have no interest in that kind of stuff.
The Offenhauser intake will work well with a 1" , 4 hole spacer, brings back some more of the low end torque.
Use ARP intake studs for installing manifold. Well worth the cost and effort.

Looks good nice truck Craig good luck
You should put it on the dyno to see what it makes before you rebuild it.
korbin varney yeah true

I noticed the spacing on your fan.need a longer fan spacer I’m surprise that thing even cools.
Clutch Fan Dude truck sounds good.
I have a performer on my Firebird runs good.

Like those yellow valve covers.
I really wish my J10 project would go as smoothly as your projects, I’m like $7k deep into this truck already and the pile still doesn’t work. Just got brand new tires put onto it for my graduation present. It’s a really cool lawn ornament, for everything else it’s a pile and a half
Nice video, I’m glad to see you getting some performance parts. I love the channel!
Such a sick truck
That's awesome I would love a 4 barrel intake for my 65 mustang hopefully one day if I had money I'll offer you some for your old one lol
Nice video. Like the upgrade vids.
Hey there , was wondering where you got your head liner from ? Thanks keep up the good work
I really hope you go with a better carb for the new setup.
LsxElco yeah he needs a Holley
Admiral Sandwich yeah I used to run a edelbrock carb then I went to holley then from a quick fuel and they were both a night and day difference from the edelbrock its a must!

Hey bro, how's it going. what size is your air filter and If you where going to get a bigger one what's the size . I have one but I can't seem to find the right Fit. please help 🙏
Would a 67-72 f100 hood fit on an 67-72 f250?

Now would you put the floor shifter in
Admiral Sandwich he needs to do a foxbody t5 trans swap
He needs an actual 73 Chevy grill for the C10
Once he goes 73 he’ll never want to go back
I have a 1965 f100 , I'm looking for a aluminum radiator like yours, where did you get it ? Thanks
Nice bro! ☺
Thanks!
Do you have a video or pictures on your motor mounts ?
I love the f100. Any plans to upgrade the brakes to power brakes?
ken baker he wants to swap a crown Vic front end and explorer rear end, so he will have to when does those for the disc brakes
Should have waited an hour for the gaskets to harden, then put the intake on.
Thecraig909. Quick question How many inches are between the back of your heads to the firewall? Swapping 6 cyl to 302.
I watch your videos I like them
I olso have a f100 and I bean working on the angine
Hey dude nice truck i was just wondering what kind of intake do you have there because i need one for my truck its a 1972 ford f100 i have a 302 engine
What was that connector you took off near the thermostat with the 3 or 4 pipes coming out of it? I have them on my SBC and don't know what they do
How do you know so much about this! I’m new to it and have a 79 F150 want to clean it up and make it pretty again!
I noticed your vacuum advance was not hooked up. Why is that? Mechanical secondary carb?
3 on the tree!
Sounds healthy!!!!! Yum!
I know this is older but you should have tried a 1" spacer on your Offy instead of running it Carb to Manifold.
You have a new subscriber
Always remove your watch before wrenching,Even if its a Casio G Shock!
Nice video
7:05 Lullaby by Nickelback
If You have room put a 1 inch spacer under the Carb.
Hey man I've a 75 f250 4x4 has a 390 I want to know what you suggest to get away from the factory points
Buy an HEI kit from southwest performance. Best mod Ive ever done for reliability

First time I drove a 3 on the tree it didn't go well😂
Derek Joon please do tell
The Coronet Shop 198? Derek Joon yikes
Derek Joon only got stuck in a ditch had to wait a week to get my 72 out
You need to put a vacuum pump on it and a holly 4 barrel and holly hi rise intake

Thunderhead289 on UA-cam, he is a carb tune guru and a really nice guy in Iowa.
Nice👍
7:46 there’s a hole in the manifold......yikes
The Coronet Shop where?
Love your flag!
That's called a dual plane manifold
I like the video, but you’re doing little trees all wrong. Vanillaroma is where it’s at.
From experience dont let other people drive your truck... Drive it yourself it will last longer. They will drive hell out of it tear it up and leave you with it. Just saying. 😂
3:04 😂
8:13 😂
and another millennial learns how to drive a 3 on the tree. very cool imo.
