പൊളിയായിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഞാൻ ഒരു electrical എഞ്ചിനീയർ ആണ്. എന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ സാധാരണ ഇൻവെർട്ടർ വെച്ച ശേഷം ഒരുപാട് കറന്റ് ബില്ല് കൂടിയിരുന്നു. അങ്ങനെയാണ് ഈ ഇൻവെർട്ടറിന്റെ technolgy പറ്റി പഠിച്ചത് . ഇവര് പറഞ്ഞ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെ നടന്നാൽ നല്ല രീതിയിൽ ലാഭം വരുന്ന സംഭവം ആണ്. എന്നാലും നമ്മടെ കുഞ്ഞു കേരളത്തിലും hardware design ചെയ്യാനും, manufacture ചെയ്യാനും പിള്ളേർ ഉണ്ടെന്നു അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോ ഒരു സന്തോഷം. സാധനത്തിന്റെ look കണ്ടിട്ട്, പഴയ star wars പടങ്ങളിലെ ഒരു ഒറ്റ കണ്ണൻ storm trooper പോലെ ഉണ്ട്. നല്ല വീഡിയോ ഇക്ക. ഞാൻ തീർച്ചയായും ഇവരെ വിളിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.

This is an incredible solution. However, evaluating the harmonics on your electrical system would add more safety precautions for all equipment connected to the system after having such inverters with battery solutions.

Sir, this is to cut the mains and evacuate solar energy through the inverter. also to make sure that battery charging from mains is inhibited during normal operation to reduce the consumption from mains

The logic built into the SMU, in this case Icon , will decide at what point the system should charge from battery, from grid, or cut grid altogether etc. Hence the SMU takes the input AC connection and switches between various options!

I have Exide inverter 1050VA + 12V Exide tall tubular battery 200 AH. I'm normally getting a backup of upto 24 hrs on long power cut since all my lights are LED and fans are BLDC. I need to install icon so my questions are;
1. how many panels are required for charging the 200Ah battery?
2. how much will be the total installation cost for me?
3. How the solar power is distributed to mains as AC when there is no charging happens? is icon converts the DC solar power to AC to distribute to the mains?
Sir, thanks for your questions. Pardon us for the delay in responding. Answering each of your queries below,
1. If you are using a 200Ah battery, we suggest you use 3 Nos of 200Wp solar panels. That is, a total capacity of 600 watts.
2. The total installation cost will be between 37,000 to 40,000 for your system. The variation is in length of cables used, the mounting structure to be used for solar panels etc. We can arrive at a final price once we complete a site inspection
3. The inverter takes care of converting DC to AC. iCON just acts as an enabler for the solar power to be either used for charging the battery or powering the AC loads via inverter. This is dependent on the state of battery, the loads being consumed and the incoming solar power and is detailed in the video from 12:45'

Hello Sir, this is Harsh from Energy24by7. iCON is connected only to the inverter line and the KSEB supply to the inverter alone is tripped by iCON to evacuate from solar and battery according to load requirement. The high power appliances you mentioned will be wired separately and it's working is independent of iCON. As used now,if you have KSEB supply in your home, it will work at all time and If there is a power failure, you will not be able to use these equipment. Trust we have cleared your doubt. Sir, if you have an inverter in your home, you can add solar panels and iCON to use this product. Congratulations and Good luck with the EV car. It is a very good decision
This is not suitable for heavy capacity users. Its just a low capacity system for small uses. I think, u have 3kw ongrid, u can upgrade that to 5kw for the total usage.

Dear Sir,
1. PWM for small capacity systems as we believe adding 20% modules is cheaper in the long run for sub kw systems and it gives increased reliability. For larger systems, an optimiser is available (even for smaller systems, but dont think it is worth the money).
2. Yes
3. Sir, grid charging is off normally at all times unless the battery goes below 50%. Also the loads can be transferred to the grid and still we can block the battery charging from grid. that is our patent. so normally always battery is charged only from solar. If the predicted value of tomorrow's consumption is lower than predicted solar generation, battery will be evacuated at night till 30% of available capacity (even if the name plate capacity is 150AH, actual available capacity will be only 120AH or so due to age, manufacturer's specmanship etc. We calculate actual capacity in the first week of install by draining the battery). this battery evacuation starts at a time when the solar incoming will seamlessly charge the battery back up to full. iCON keeps a true state of charge by counting coulombs going in and out of the battery.
4. In rainy season or any days when sudden changes in weather causes charging to get affected from solar, loads will be transferred to mains in the afternoon itself (the exact time is calculated by the AI algorithm)and the rest of the day is used to charge the batteries. We achieve 95%+ batteyr charge on 97% of the days. Rest of the days, we turn on mains charger by 4:00 pm and charge back up before 6PM the shortfall. Again this 4PM or 3PM is decided by the algorithm. Currently, it is happening on 3% of the days, but once we have more than 500 units in the field, the algorithm parameters can be fine tuned to less than 1% mistake.

Oh I called them for the said requirement on Oct 2023. They told me 38,500.00rs + ( except Batter & Inverter) is the expense as per the Vedio. At the same time other suppliers offered rs 25,000.00 with current standered equipments.

Hello Sir, there is no need for manual intervention. The appliances connected to power plugs are not generally included in the inverter wiring and hence iCON does not intervene in the working of any such appliances.

As an existing customer, I am very happy to have iCon installed at my home. Backed with the required technical knowledge, skills and commitment, time and again, these dynamic young chaps have been proving to be of great support!
For the readers info: I currently have ICON supporting a 12V battery and inverter system. Because of this device, I have able to utilise at least 1-1.5 Unit (1 Unit = 1kWh) worth of solar energy per day, which also means that I have reduced my consumption from the grid by about 1-1.5 unit. This has significantly lowered my bi-monthly bill.

Hello, Sir. You will need a battery based system (voltage source) or the energy has to be exported to the grid. You can use a solar inverter like iCUBE to utilize solar. But then you will have to buy solar panels, iCUBE and batteries.

Hi, I guess you did not get my point. Example: I install a 5 kwh solar power unit at my home in the near future. (Currently, I have a standard inverter + single battery). And I install iCon as well to convert my inverter to solar. Now, here my is query: After completing all these installations, will I be able to charge an electric car at home either at night or day?
One kilowatt panel will give you 4 KWH per day. One 12v 150 AH battery can store 1.8 KWH energy. You can draw 80%. Battery based systems are very expensive. 1KW system at 48V will cost approx 100K. Electric cars will take 30 to 40 units per charge. So it cannot be from stored energy but directly from grid. So the option for you would be a grid tied system. If you charge your car every alternate day, you will need 15 x 40 = 600 units for that alone. And chances are that you would be having one or two ACs and other gadgets. For getting 1000KWH every month, I use a 10KW system. Rest for you to calculate. Godd luck! Jai Green! Jai Hind!

I am from a Solar Field,we call thi type of unit as SMU ..Solar Management Unit which is available in markets also with MPPT technology..existing inverters can be easily converted to solar inverter with those SMUs.....

When excess solar power is generated and bty is full then, is there provision for solar generation directly to go power usage instead of using bty and charging it. I feel we can save bty life avoiding repeatedly charging or discharging the bty. Pls try it or may I know if You have already this provision
Sir, Thank you for the question and pardon us for the delay in answering. We do only shallow cycling of batteries. We have a coulomb counting system where the AH going in and out of the battery are counted at all times and the true state of charge is maintained. We cycle only the top 20 to 30 percent of the battery capacity (the AI algorithm decides it). Also periodic cell equalization is provided so that weaker battery cells are brought up to make sure battery life is extended to the maximum possible. Also the predictive algorithm ensures that a situation like excess availability of solar power never happens in site. The batteries will be drained the night before to ensure that the incoming solar is completely used for charging the batteries back up to 100%. This ensures 100% utilisation of solar and also a higher reduction in utility bill. Hope this helps.

@@emkmathew9062 Sir, draining of battery at night was just one use case. All the systems auto corrects on an hourly basis for any changes, like the one you mentioned here.

Hello Sir, you are converting your existing inverter to solar power. Only the appliances connected to inverter wiring will be powered from solar. This system shown in video is a 700W 12V inverter and hence the solar panel capacity is 400 watt. If you have a higher power inverter with fridge and motor connected, we can convert that also into solar power with adequate panel capacity. Please contact us if you have any more queries. My monthly consumption,( in Bangalore) including use of a 1 ton AC in Summer months about 3- 4 months a year is about Rs2500/- and units 335- 350.
Other months it is units 200-230 Units and Rs1300/- Rs1600/
I have an inverter of APC,make 1 KW.
My major consumers
1. 1 ton AC summer use only
2. Submersible pump 2 HP
3. Mixy, fridge 420 lit. And microwave
With these what is your suggestion for a solar.
Cost and ROI. Ingrid option etc

Thanks for sharing your energy consumption details. There are two options here,
1. You can convert your existing 1 KVA APC UPS to Solar using iCON. Based on your energy usage, you can save around 75 to 90 units per month by connecting a 600 Wp solar power. The loads supported by your inverter will be powered by solar using this option. We already have a customer in Bangalore.'
2. You can go for an on grid power plant for the total consumption. Considering the higher consumption of 350 units per month, a 3kW system should be fine for your usage.

In rainy seasons it will be less yield, of course. But more profound effect is in April, May as the temperature is high. solar module power has a negative temperature co-efficient and drops about 10% in extreme hot ambient temperature.

@@niyaskhankhan6454 Sir, Rain is no issue. Only clouds. We have seen panels producing 905 output in rains. and cooling the panel will increase its output. shade and high temperature is the worst enemy of solar.
