- I was looking at these crusty old scissors for a long time with the idea to make them usable again. Finally the desire for internet fame motivated me to do it :D . As you can see , it's not some high polish restoration , more of a practical one . The main material is something like low quality wrought iron , so there are not only rust pits , but inclusions and voids in the steel itself. Also they are thin and I can't remove much without making them almost like foil :D . Anyways I have a new pair of shop scissors for cutting rags :)

Nice to see a tool brought back into use.
at the end that feeling of cut cloth so nice
So satisfying to watch 😎👌🏻
Wow! Metal is so cool! The things you can do with it if you have the knowledge and skill I find totally fascinating.. really great work on these scissors!
thank you , I really enjoy the ability to work with steel - forging , cutting , machining , grinding - all these operations to shape it to the desired product. I have still much to learn but it is a great journey :)
Those scissors look beautiful.
thank you :)
great restoration 👍
I wasn’t too sure about the black finish, but they cut like a dream! Nice job! (Just subscribed too)
Thanks , I wish they had a bit more meat and a bit less pits ;)
Great job, back to its origin look , the black suits its design pretty well - have you used the blueing liquid ?
thank you , I'm glad that you like it. Yea it's cold gun bluing .
Rust Legion job well done - i am pleased to see you did this opposed to spray paint - it’s honest to its origin - 👏🏻 🙌🏻
Nice restoration sir 👍

Awesome! I'm curious about the liquid you put them in at 1:09?
