I’m so glad you always show how the *thing* works at the end. You always find such unusual items to restore. I’m never quite sure what they’re supposed to do! Great stuff... thanks for sharing!
Honestly I'm pretty sure that I and most other people would see this thing and think it was well beyond repair, so great job making it look so brand new again. Super impressive.
Very cool! They do make these newer at the hardware store but this is something else. Older things have a certain charm and you brought this back to life and use.
Silky Steve And you know that they are genuinely old unlike some “restorers” that bury their junk in a swamp or under a compost pile for a couple of weeks.
I really really enjoy you video's so much. Ik watch some every night. Them calm me down and relax me. I loe seeing you restore these things. IT means a lot tot me. Keep on going and a massive thanks
Just a pro paintjob tip: If you want a glowing yellow/orange/red/green. Paint the parts white first. Wet sand it and paint the desired colour over it. Your piece will be much brighter✌🏼. Keep it up👍🏻
I have watched every video. I too take great satisfaction in restoring old things. I work with old automobiles though. It is very relaxing to follow you through each restoration. I also love old things from decades gone by and believe that the workmanship of such items is far superior to todays substandard manufacturing. Master craftsmen of the past deserve to have their creations given a second lease on life!
Up until the end I thought it was missing a saw blade, once you had it together and flexed the cutting edge that I realized it was a cutter not a long handled saw. Nicely done, sir.
I so Love it when you come across the Clasic tools or What ever to Restore. I always enjoy watching your restore. Thanks ever so much for sharing. Stay safe.
now all made in PRC RPC China etc ! In France we say "Merde In China" : means "shit in China", we also say " achètes chinois achètes 10 fois" means buy chinese buy 10 times !!
Best enjoyed, at your leisure, feet up, a cup of tea and a biscuit or pastry of your choice. The simple tool sounds coupled with the sounds of nature are just so tranquil!
You got the little leaver on the side the wrong way...Look at 4:28 in video, then at 17:19. The leaver is facing the wrong direction. Great restoration though, I thoroughly enjoy watching you restore different things.
I love these simple restorations 🙂 You are making a very good job with the restorations and the editing. The combinations of these two factors is what it takes to run a quality channel! Hope you doing well / Philip
I love that you smoothed out all the bumps on the main frame, and that you kept the small screw that had the damaged circular plate next to the spring.
To think, most would have just thrown a lump of rust like that into the scrap pile. Did a beautiful job of restoration on such a mundane tool! Congratulations on a job well done sir!!
Another wonderful restoration ! Approved by Avril. I bought one very similar to this, new old stock British Army issue, still wrapped in grease paper, but when I tried to use it I understood why it was left in stock, it was so heavy . Stay safe! Chris B.
After heating a cut end of synthetic cord, if you lick your fingers you can taper the end of the cord so it will be easier to insert through the eye of a tool; or lick your palm and roll the hot end between your palm and the top of a workbench. Good restoration. Merci mon brave. Nick

Anyone else watch these to fall asleep because same. Every night. Thank you for the content I love it
You've certainly brought this back from the dead! When they raise the Titanic they should have you on hand!
Honestly I'm pretty sure that I and most other people would see this thing and think it was well beyond repair, so great job making it look so brand new again. Super impressive.
avril is a beauty ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ beautiful restoration!!!!!!!
As a groundskeeper, that looks wicked cool! I’d love to see it compared to our modern tools.
What a wonderful restoration job, and the tree pruner works like a charm, too.
I believe that you put on the pawl backwards as it is there to keep the nut from backing off.
I can't understand why some viewers dislike this fantastic work ?!?!?
I love his hands man. They look old and like they've worked hard. Respect!
Damn, looks outstanding! At first I was thinking that pruner was the "Ghost of Tetanus Past" but you brought it back from the dead.
No

I have a well used modern version of this tool. It is very useful as my yard is bordered with trees. Excellent job!
*You find the most interesting tools to restore. Large and small.*

So good specially the demonstration in the end.
My partner still has to use cutters like these at work!
I love the teamwork in these videos!
As a professional arborist I really enjoyed this one. Phenomenal work as usual! Thank you!

Ik hou ervan om oude dingen, nieuw leven in te blazen. Jouw werk is geweldig en leer er steeds wat van bij. 🙂
Brilliant restoration guys...well done
Up until the end I thought it was missing a saw blade, once you had it together and flexed the cutting edge that I realized it was a cutter not a long handled saw. Nicely done, sir.
Wow I'd love that. I've had 2 and they've been crap. Yours is far superior and built to last. Love it
Me every time I see Avril: MY BAAABBBBBYYYYYYYY!!
Thanks for the text captions so we know what you're doing! Very helpful. Educational and strangely soothing video.
I so Love it when you come across the Clasic tools or What ever to Restore. I always enjoy watching your restore. Thanks ever so much for sharing. Stay safe.
Antique tree pruner restoration. Now that is unique. And very cool!
Very Cool restoration on these Tree Pruner !!!!!!!!!!!
"Fabriqué en France" as rare as "Made in the USA"
A lotta old tools & appliances have "Made in the US" on it.
And, a lotta old wine has "made in France" on it.
Old stuff is better than new crap.

I order mason jars from a factory in Guangzhou, China. They have ‘made in USA’ moulded into them!
@@wholefoodplantbasedmama5398 OMG !!

Excellent work restoring an abandoned old trimmer.
My first restoration was on a very similar pruner. It has served us well since then
I always find it interesting to see the aftermath because in the begining it hardly ever looks like theres even metal in there
Good to see your supervisor Avril is keeping you focused and motivated!
When you are an old time subscriber and recognize the wetstone from an older video
nice to see past rebuilds making an appearance!
actually i'd like to the the old (gigantic) manual drill do some work from times to times =)
I Hear ya Mark. When I saw the Stone I'm like Oh Yeah cool , I can remember when I watched that.
I love seeing old restorations used to make new ones!
I watched both of these videos today lol
Very nice job ! Thanks
Good job! You made the tree pruner turn over a new leaf!
You make something as uninteresting as an old pruner into and awesome restoration! Great work 👌
Loved the sharpening of the blade on the whet stone.
i lost a pet today and was watching this as a distraction and seen Avril made me really happy. I really like your videos
I'd love to have that fig tree! Perfect restoration.
Some good old-fashioned elbow grease... no chemical rust remover needed to get rid of the rust. Another great restoration. Thanks for the video.
You got the pawl in upside down at 17:05, like a couple of others said... But a great restoration, as always!
I love these simple restorations 🙂 You are making a very good job with the restorations and the editing. The combinations of these two factors is what it takes to run a quality channel! Hope you doing well / Philip
you did excellent job, as always, I really like the result 👍
Excellent work👍👍👍. Thanks for sharing. As always supervisor Avril is there to check things over. LOL. Be safe
Good Restoration Done 👌

Thumbs up 👍
👏 👏
Très belle réalisation, bravo, juste une remarque : le cliquet de la roue dentée est montée à l'envers, (cf 0.43 - 17.10)
Oh man that wetstone brings back memories!
INDIANS CAN ATENDENCE HERE😍
I love that you smoothed out all the bumps on the main frame, and that you kept the small screw that had the damaged circular plate next to the spring.
So beautiful. Any arborist would be proud to weld it.
I'm glad to see that your Arvil approved of your remake. 13:35
Best supervisor ever!

Beautiful restauration
Fantastic job, awesome job 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice leather handle!👍👍
Que bien quedó. Lo felicito. Gracias por compartir.
Inspector is in! 😀
Your videos are amazing! And Avril is another reason to watch them
Базара нет! Отличная работа! Привет из Беларуси!
Great restoration 👍💯% Very special "aparat" 👍👍👍Great video 👍👍
Wonderful restoration.
Loved it. I wish you would have sanded the handle down; everything else looked new!
Ha! We have a similar modern version and I was wondering why the end looked especially familiar- we use it to trim our giant fig tree too!
Very Good 👏👏👏
Очень медитативное занятие, наблюдать за твоей реконструкцией. Очень классно, спасибо за контент)
BRAVO !!!! Nice Restoration !!!!
Avril @ 13:39 -
"Ah, crap, that's not food!"

Interesting video of restoration of tree pruner
Avril says "Nicely Done". 😺😺😺
Beautiful piece 👍😁👍
Have watched a few of your videos now, very enjoyable restorations. Congrats, you earned a sub thanks to this great work
Another wonderful restoration ! Approved by Avril. I bought one very similar to this, new old stock British Army issue, still wrapped in grease paper, but when I tried to use it I understood why it was left in stock, it was so heavy . Stay safe! Chris B.
Another awesome restoration from my favorite channel! 👏👏
It’s wonderful creations! Nice job!!! Respect from Russia!
Orange color because it's easier to find them in the grass. Such a simple, smart little detail... my pruner is green. :D
Great restoration, but you mounted the nut lock in the wrong direction.
Orange is a great colour for gardening tools!
belo trabalho de restauração!!!! parabéns
To me it's interesting how little the designs for these tree pruners have changed over 100 years. Even the colours are still the same!
Very good, Thank you 👍👌👏
Lovely thing, it looks like it has been a part of a coral reef. ;-)
Very good job, goosebumps, safe your hands please 👐💛

Beautiful work
Tres belle restauration. L'outil était très très très rouillé !
Vrai ça, il était très très très très rouillé.
Another great restoration! I thought you would have given the wooden handle a quick sanding and a finish.
We want a video full of Avril's adventures, please. Your restoration videos? Oh, yeah, you can keep loading them, too. 😊
That shaft on your pillar drill needs looking at.
I saw your cat just make my life better 🥰
Przepiękne są odrestaurowane te stare zabytkowe szczypce do gałęzi pozdrawiam twórcę tego filmiku serdecznie 👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
Красивая работа как по реставрации так и съёмке видео.
Dios les bendiga esas manos muchachos. Hermoso trabajo . Un beso a Avril
