The smart tracking pan tilt is best just because of the remote. If the auto track looses you, you can use the remote to get it back on track.

Pretty cool review! I think all these tracking cameras all have some pretty good uses. I need one to follow me while playing basketball but I don't think I've found an affordable one yet hehe..
These aren't so bad price-wise. I think they are about $50 USD each.
Wonderful review of these two trackers. I agree they are a bit choppy. The manual pan is smooth as you say, but then you have to keep up with it. You definitely do a great job with product reviews. Hope you and your family are doing well.. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend 👍
The choppiness didn't translate too badly into the final footage, and maybe I was not walking smoothly enough or a fast enough pace. I've seen other videos of them and they are quite smooth, so now I'm thinking it might have been user error! LOL

Appreciate your review. After seeing your video I decided not to get one because the autotracking is way too choppy. It makes the video look lousy. Will stick with my Pivo as it is much smoother on the slow setting. But I think Telesin is on to something as I do not like that I have to use my phone with the Pivo. Having a built in camera is a step up. If they can smooth the tracking so it does not look so jerky and awful then I would probably replace my Pivo with one of these. Nice job with the review. Appreciate your honesty!
It isn't as smooth as I'd hoped, but the video didn't turn out as jerky as I thought it would have. So that was a good surprise. I do love that Telesin doesn't require an app, you can just turn it on and it starts tracking, no fiddling with apps and settings. They are definitely on to something! :)
What if i had two people talking and one moves a bit , would it follow them ?
I think it would depend on who it has locked in on. You can use your phone’s touch focus to concentrate on which person you want it to stay focused on. It’s not 100%, it’s never going to replace a human cameraman, but it works for those of us who can’t afford to hire one! 😃
Your video is the best I've seen for these devices. I'm still on the fence to find the right one. I have a puppy that I'm trying to record some really unique things that he does. Not sure on picking a smart tracker yet. I really need the smart tracker because he won't be the same if I'm holding my GoPro.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. If you can afford it, the PIVO is a little smoother and the app does some really cool things. But if you have a price limit, this device works just fine too!
Will it work for sports ? Tracking multiple body figures at a time ?
I don't think it can track multiple figures, but I've honestly never used it that way. From my experience, it latches onto one face and one body. It might be able to handle more but everyone would have to be moving in the same direction and always remain in the frame. I don't know how it would track multiple people if they were going everywhere in multiple directions.

Thanks for the video. The one thing that i want to see (that NO ONE has shown yet) is if and how it tracks an actual object. It says it can track objects and well that is what I want it for and that is what I would like to see. Object to me is something that isn`t human or animal something like a roomba or a car or a balloon. Could you do a video showing that? I have bought 4 of these trackers and have returned everyone of them either for the app not working or it not tracking an object like it says it can.
I have not yet used my tracker on an inanimate object, but I can definitely pull it out and see if it tracks something like a car going down the road. Trackers aren't perfect and definitely don't replace a human behind the camera, but they do the trick in a pinch I find. :)

I think the Little Monster one is kind of cute! Too bad it doesn't seem to work as well.
Yeah, it has the better look and isn't as heavy so it's more portable, but the black one just seemed to be a little better built. Or maybe I just had it attached to the tripod wrong...
Hello, tha ks for the video. And, I'm wondering if you have a recomendation for a good flexible tripod. I'm using the tracking telesin that comes with light, cellular mount and tripod (ball head is week), so when tracking and stops just shakes (maybe due the weight of the lights) so the video doesn't look good. Any flexible tripod with the quality sturdy? I have seen reviews about the new jody 3k and 5k and it looks like they broke fast. Any recommendation? Thanks
I am a cheap, cheap woman. My tried and true tripod is an Amazon special, and I've had it for years and I love it. It has never failed me. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't pack down very small. But I've beat that thing up and loaded it everywhere, and it's always good to go. As you can imagine when the telesin chop chop and have weight on top with ring light, cellphoneit just shakes and i believe is the ball junction of the tripod from same purchase package. @@coffeegirl3747 This is my baby, I love this tripod! It's quite sturdy and easy to use. Like I said, it doesn't pack up very compact which is my only complaint. (It's hard to take on trips where I'm flying on an airplane, but it does fit into my suitcase...) Best of luck! :)

if you turn your face away from the camera does it still follow you?
It does... sometimes. If you go too fast, it will lose track of your body and stop following. I also found in dim light it will lose you easier as well. It definitely isn't a top-of-the-line tracker but for the price range it does the trick!

Maybe if you walked as fast as you did when manually tracking the auto track wouldn't be as choppy? Ok I guess I am dumb.... did you pair it to another camera? How do I see what it is recording?
No need to pair it, your camera mounts on it, and it controls the spin and pan. I'm not sure why it was so choppy. Maybe I didn't mount it correctly but I'm pretty sure I did. You see what it is recording because your phone (or your camera, whatever you are using) is being run just like normal. :)

Is there really a camera in the machine and how do you get the video out and what is the quality?
The camera is NOT in the machine. It is just a panning device. You have to use a camera you already own, like an iPhone or GoPro or DSLR.
The camera you see on the device is the tracker. The competitors use cell phones connected to the gimbal to perform tracking.

Didn't seem that choppy to me. I like that it doesn't need an extra app to run.
It was quite choppy from my end, but it didn't translate that bad on film. I wonder if I maybe just had it installed wrong on the tripod??

U didnt explain how to use it in vlog or videocalls
Because you just turn it on and then make your way phone call or video. It tracks you automatically; there’s no app to run, nothing else to do. It’s very straightforward.
Does it work for sport ?
It works until someone crosses the path of the person you are focused on. So you’d need to pay attention in case you need to reset.
Does it work in a crowd of people?
It will lose you if someone cuts off the sight line. So probably not ideal in a crowd. It is just a camera, it doesn’t replace a human cameraman unfortunately.
@DowntheWrabbitHole that too bad. With all the tech, there should be a tracker that can track the GPA in the post ket of our cell phone.
@DowntheWrabbitHole sound like the telwsij is ideal for simple teaching. Do you know at what distance teaching is lost? If video has line of sight?

Sadly nope. I still only have $3000 Sweatcoins which is only good for men’s razors sometimes or a 50% off coupon for random items. Their shop has gone downhill over the last couple of years. No trips that I can save up for at the moment!

Thanks for the nice review, not going to get these as they are annoyingly choppy.
Telesin sent me two free ones to review, and I didn't want to say anything bad about them, but they were honestly so choppy that it surprised me a little. The final video result wasn't horrible, so for the price range, they do the trick. And I did like how they didn't need an app. So there's also pros. But there are other machines that are smoother, that's for sure. :) Thanks for watching!
