Received a black one almost 3 years ago from my cousin who didn't use it much. I'm still amazed with it, still not tired of the design and feel of it. I remember using this in my classroom before the pandemic and my classmates loved the sound. Sounds amazing indoors but outdoors not so much. I've dropped it around 2 times now but still working. Minor scratches on top that's all. Lasts around 4-6 hours depending on the volume level.
Yeah great sound quality but poor low bass response so I hacked mine 😃 now it plays louder and the low bass is present.... Now it sounds fuller and bassier just like the OG soundlink mini 2
@@anjjewo I have a damaged bose soundlink mini 2 so I took both apart and discovered they both use same chipset especially the microprocessor and bios rom chipset so I compared the bin file of both rom chipset and they were identical so I flashed the sm 2 rom file onto that of the colour 2 and surprisingly it worked.... Apparently the rom stores the data for instructions set for volume limit and also dsp that filters out the low bass......i was thinking it stored the entire operating system but it didn't as the only difference is it can now go incredibly loud and also the low bass isn't cut off anymore, then I had to change the power input capacitors for the tpa3110d2 amp to produce more power and also added some weights to the passive radiators to reproduce the low bass correctly..... The stock radiators were light weight and not designed for low bass like the ones for the soundlink mini 2
@@anjjewo and if you want the bios bin file (you will need an eprom flashing device) , I can send on whatsapp or email and also additional information to increase power input to amp and also tune passive radiators
I just bought one on Ebay for £40, it was described as broken, but after 2 days of working on it (charging and messing with buttons) I've finally got it working!!! so I've got the £120 speaker for only £40 V Happy
@@TidbitTek Yes! It's actually the 1st generation, but I love it! I have so many BT speakers but I really like the shape of this one. Fits really well in my notebook case! And yes, it sounds amazing for its size! I'll put it this way, much better than the sound coming from my Surfacebook 2! :D
I dropped it in a full bucket of water, watched her sink to the bottom as she was @ full blast volume and pulled her out still bumping 🤙💯 Bose all the way .
I have had one for over a year. Would recommend. Am watching this video cos I’m looking for a review where they have multiple ones linked up , cos I’m gonna get another 1 or 2. Battery life is brilliant. Never tested it but if charged overnight it’s never died on me the next day. I use it at work and it gets dirty / dusty / oily and also take it to the beach…handles all this like a boss , or should I say Bose lol. Mine is in blue and I think it looks cool AF.
That's funny, I was watching this review to use the Soundlink 2 as my computer speakers! The micros are only bluetooth right? I like the line in option when using on a desktop as well as Bluetooth.
I got this speaker on sale it is 79 dollars on amazon and yes you are right the battery life is bad I should’ve been warned but i hope it still is good still listening to music and listening to audio books i mean is this better than jbl
If you're referring to the Sonos speaker I reviewed on my channel then they are very different. The sonos speakers is a smart speaker with much larger speakers and better quality sound. Compared to the sonos the soundlink color 2 is also soley a bluetooth speaker but extremely portable and durable because of the material that they used. It all depends on what you are looking for. I hope that helps!
I can’t decide which speaker to go with. It’s either the bose soundlink color 2 or the jbl charge 4. I heard the jbl is better but i don’t know which one.
I recently needed to replace the battery as it stopped taking charge after seven plus years of use. I live by the sea so salt air corrodes the components. The biggest pain in the arse is refitting the rubber bottom. Anyone got any ideas? Just can't figure it out.

All great points! and this speakers is super durable. My go-to when going on hiking or camping trips.

Thats an absolute steal at that price! What plans do you have for it? General home speaker or chilling at the beach?
@@TidbitTek probably a do it all speaker or I might just sell it coz I could make like 50 quid from it
If your wondering i used a laptop charger with an adapter on it to jump start the battery

I just bought one today and so far I love the sound
I’ve heard lots of BT speakers and the Bose sound link always sound amazing
I took your recommendation and got mine at a Goodwill for $20.
What a great find!

Woah that's crazy, I know it's not rated for that much water but good to know if I accidentally drop it in some it'll survive!

Thank you for your take, subscribed.👍 🙂
Much appreciated!
Nice review! Do you know if it will play a Bluetooth and aux wire device at the same time? Thanks
Nice video. I have the Bose Soundlink Micro as my main pc speakers, good battery small and really good sound.
Thanks Brother, do you use the micro anywhere else besides on your desk setup?

can you connect it with your tv?
As long as your tv have bluetooth connectivity this speaker should be able to pair with it.
