hey, expect fun, your first week of classes are nothing to stress about the profs usually like to get to know students and they typically just go over the course addendum, class rules and how to navigate the course website. there also fun events happening around campus a lot more during the start of the semester so you can expect that and most people starting college are willing to make friends and talk to others so everyone’s usually friendly. for online classes same thing, profs are usually really nice, friendly, it may be less engaging then in-person it kinda depends on the students. I’ve been to online classes where it’s really engaging and fun cause students interacted with the prof and turned on their mic to talk while other online classes it was mostly the prof just talking so less engaging

yes you can design your own timetable, and do you mean work for four months from January to April? if so yes you can take off a semester to work and start your second semester in may(as long as your program operates in may)

Hey, when I applied to Seneca, I got accepted the next day. From my experience and other students I know, Seneca accepts anyone lol, there wasn't any difficulty. Were the people who told you it was difficult, in a program that has a hard requirement? that might be why they said that

hey, there’s not too many assignments and yeah it’s pretty easy. I’d say as long as you did high school math, you should be good. Yes you’ll have to do the skills assessment test to see which placement of English and math you’ll need. Classes are about 2 hours and professors are nice.
Hey! so gpa is calculated by adding up your marks for all your courses then dividing that up by the number of courses you took. There are four types of gpa: term, cumulative, program and graduating.Term gpa is your gpa for the semester, cumulative gpa is your gpa for every course you’ve taken, program gpa is your gpa for your entire program and graduating gpa is your gpa of all courses that are required for graduation.

the textbook isn’t required but you will need to purchase an online code to do math labs, usually buying the textbook with a code is cheaper then just buying the code. And yes you should have a calculator. Also yes you can email me if you want with questions

you can buy the textbook from the seneca bookstore www.bkstr.com/senecacollegestore/home and professors will tell you how to get the textbook for their course too, they will usually send you a link through the announcements tab on blackboard. I’m not sure about Amazon, but you can always search for the textbook and see if they have it

co op is where you can get work experience related to your program during a semester of college, I would recommend doing co op because once you finish your studies and are looking for a full- time job, it's hard to get your foot in the door with a company without experience in that field/program, so by taking co op in college, it helps. I'm planning on taking co op myself as well

you should be able to drop the classes you don’t want then but the last day to add classes was last Friday. So I would say to ask your student advisor and see if they can help you change times.

hey, bbs is easy but the accounting courses I found hard. you can take a break whenever, but yes usually students do two semesters then take a semester off(4months). usually one assignement per course a week, but it depends on the course, some have more and some don’t have any, they just have a weekly quiz. there’s a midterm and final exam for most courses a semester. so usually a midterm exam before study break then final exam at the end of the semester, some courses also do presentations instead of exams so it just depends on the course
I personally found the other courses that the bbs programs requires you to take other than the accounting courses to be easy. If you want a campus job, you can look on the SenecaWorks website, there’s job postings on it, or you can always look for hiring posters on walls around campus.

hey, having a laptop would be helpful but no you don’t need one. Seneca has a computer lab where there are computers available for students to use and you can borrow a laptop from Seneca too if you need

hey, there’s no set number of days, it just depends how you want to structure your schedule and what classes fit and when. For example, if you want to space out your classes then you could do 1 class a day for 5 days, or if you don’t want to come to college that much then you could try to make your schedule have classes piled up and just come to college 3 days a week so 3 classes on one day and then 1 class for the other 2 days. Or you can do 4 days a week and have 1-2 classes on each day
yes I can explain them, for the gothic horror story class we watched different horror films and did tests and answered questions using discussion boards about them. for the physiology of fitness class we did a physical activity like push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, planks etc.., learned about the human body, which exercises target which muscles and about nutrition. and for the italian class we learned basic italian, how to say phrases and greetings and verbs and used what we learned to do creative assignments like video journals, cooking recipes and group projects
for the bbs program you’ll have to take a skills assessment test, the results you get from this test will place you in the correct math (mbf) and English (com) placement. mbf100 and com101 are the easier ones.

sorry about that, in this class we just had to come up with something to sell to a potential customer, write out scripts and act it out.

What we should take that is pretty easy
• MBF100 -MBF 101 OR MTH158
• COM101 or COM111
for the bbs program you’ll have to take a skills assessment test, the results you get from this test will place you in the correct math (mbf) and English (com) placement. mbf100 and com101 are the easier ones.
