- Why is it these weak plastic nipples are always positioned to stick out in such a bad way? It seems the slightest bump will break one off, especially on Ford DEF pumps. This is the method I use to repair broken nipples of all sorts. If done properly, this is an instant and permanent fix.
Cool , thanks , telescoping antenna was the first thing I found for the repair , and the info about the glue and baking soda was awesome !
Doesn't the diameter of the metal tube affect the flow of fuel?
Outstanding production truly designed to teach! God Bless you and your family.
Thanks my bro. I fixed mine today and used tube of antenna. Best Regards from Iraq
Thank you bro!! Saved me $500
Thank you for the video! I used part of a broken fishing rod (it was on hand in the garage) to fix the broken def pump nipple on my sprinter. I think it may be better than metal for the bond because the sanded fiberglass made a super tight bond. Anyways so far so good!
I’ll be using this info to fix broken nipple/hose connection on a DPF pressure sensor on a spare DPF I have in storage.
Thanks for the idea!!
Excellent tip.
Happy Motoring.
Hi, thanks for the video. Are you sure that it's fuel resistant? Have you tested this repair long term? Thanks from England.
dude such a good video
Thanks man! This method works great.
:45 An aluminum rivet isn't going to last long with DEF. Stainless is the only metal that'll hold up.
Some ballpoint pens have the inner ink tank made of steel tube. Just cut to size, clean the ink (IPA/acetone/citrus cleaner). Perfect thin tube. Broken barb on a cooling system expansion tank (Jag).
Amazing thank you!!!
thank you
is the same thing apply to deformed plastic nipples ??
as the one, I have got damaged due to heat!! not fully but from one side!
Great and strong
Cool trick
anyone have def low pressure codes pop after this fix?
Thanks🎉🎉🎉🎉
Don't forget to take the rod out 😀
Not a rod, a tube. Need to leave it for strength. Video states this in beginning
I'll give it a shot on my power steering reservoir
