They basically said “so what if it’s a slur? If everybody uses it it’s okay!” Like if everybody murdered someone it would be perfectly fine - no it’s still wrong.

Acoustic means sound, so basically people are saying "are you sound or something???" *ah yes, I am sound. I have no physical body, I am literally just sound waves* The fact that people will find any word they can use to insult autistic people is just pathetic. They know they can't use autistic as an insult anymore because people realise it's sh*tty and will call them out for it. So they find literally any word that vaguely sounds like autistic/the r slur to use instead. What's next? Atlantic?

Question so my friend has autism and refuses to take his meds and stuff, he's a 13 year old and goes around school telling kids, especially the quiet and genuinely depressed kids to k!ll themselves yet he gets away with it because he has autism but if he can't control saying that kind of stuff do you think he should be with the extra help class he constantly gets in trouble and tells kids to end themselves yet is still in normal classes
That's just a shit person 😶 autism may make you lack empathy, but doesn't give you unvoluntary actions such as that. He needs to be held accountable for his actions, it as nothing to do with autism
Yes, ableists used this against autistic people, as a way to use another way of belittling us rather than the r word. It was a joke in our community till the ableists started using it.
@@gailasprey7787 I just don’t get it. I don’t think I would have known (if this was said in isolation to me without other cues I already know showing malicious intent) that this language was ableist. I’ve seen people use it as a genuinely funny joke before people started using it as a slur (my sense of humor involves purposefully mispronouncing words and that is the way they were saying it, in a good natured silly way also they themselves were autistic) but since people started using it as a slur it’s lost all humor which just sucks
Okay so what happened was this was a joke in the autistic community until some horrible ableists decided to use it as a slur against us. Now it’s very insulting to be called this and people say “it’s a joke!” But they don’t realise it isn’t funny if it hurts others.
