Good video
God bless our Nation’s War Fighters. 🇺🇸💪🙏🇺🇸
I love you us army
Unit patch on the A2CU chest? Since when?
Now that I have my civilian aircraft mechanic cert and a degree, I want to work on cool, secret military airfraft. How cool would that be?
Join the army as a helicopter mechanic
Apply to Lockheed Martin and other Contracted company’s that make and work on aircraft for the military.
Yes ok
🇺🇸🗽🇺🇲
Is it possible to also pilot airplanes through the WO route?
Yes, but difficult.
going from helicopters to civilian commercial aviation is a route once you retire
You are an aviator but you are judged and evaluated based on your additional duties. Nowhere is flying part of the officer evaluation report which is used for promotion.
Sounds a lot like Air Force enlisted evaluation system
Bad info
Not true for warrant officers.
Untrue…not accurate and perhaps old urban legend. As a retired Army Colonel, I wrote hundreds of Officer/Warrant evaluations. I expected all my pilots to be RL1 Day/Nigh/Goggle Pilot-in-Command…that was the baseline expectation. Period.
Is the Street to Seat Program still active in the Active Army??
There are a few paths to become a Warrant Officer, to learn more about the process, connect with your Recruiter at 1-888-355-ARMY (2769) or spr.ly/6056M5cHM.
Yes it is
My son did it just 3 years ago.
I don't really understand how warrant officers work in the command structure. May I please have some elaboration on that?
A Warrant Officer is a highly-trained expert in a specialty area who performs duties involving technical and tactical leadership, while a commissioned Officer is in charge of a unit in the Army. If you're interested in learning more, visit spr.ly/60523XMpg.
Below a 2nd lieutenant (O-1) but above an E-9. It’s really the best rank!
Is it only for helicopters?
No, but the Army is really in need of helicopter pilots so that’s most likely why you only see this targeted towards rotary wing aircraft.
Hey, I have a college degree. Would it increase my chances of becoming a helicopter pilot or are my chances pretty much the same?
Thanks for reaching out! A local Recruiter can determine your eligibility. Connect with a Recruiter at 1-888-355-ARMY (2769) or spr.ly/6053Oftw5.
Since they didn't answer your question: it depends on the field. If you have relevant education and experience it'll definitely help your chances when you drop your packet. I can tell you if you have stellar cybersecurity skills you can go warrant despite only being a private or so. At least that's what they told me.
@@davewebster5120I'd be wary about trusting "what you're told" as my research indicates WO roles, other than aviation, require at least E-5(maybe E-6).
@@flyingturret208thecannon5that’s not the case for aviation. There’s a thing called street to seat. Which basically means you can graduate high school and come in to be an aviation warrant. Of course you’d need to make it thru basic, WOCS, and flight school but it’s very much possible.
Caveat. If you struggled with AP Math and AP Science, you aint going to pass ground school. Its no easy ride. This is the sharp end.
I thought enlisted work on the helicopters
They do , helicopter mechanics. These people are the actual pilots of the aircraft’s
The world is laughing at you. Enough with the inclusive shtick.
how so?
@@atc562002 their military ad
The world still accepts US military aid
They show one woman in the whole video and you’re acting like this is some woke ad lmao!
Who’s laughing? We have the strongest and most formidable military in the world.
