So sick. I love how proficient you are with that pad. It's pretty unique. Most shmup guys use levers I feel like since it's the arcade default. Were you into fighting games first?
Yep, I bought my first hitbox controller solely for fighting games but after I got comfortable with it, I decided to try it out while playing Gradius IV one day and ended up really liking it and never looked back (even though it felt kinda awkward at first lol). Levers are obviously very strong options for shmups but they don't really click for me the same way leverless controllers do. My ship movement is very weak on stick imo (plus my wrist starts to hurt after a while). I'm super comfortable using joystick for street fighter and guilty gear however so that's why I wanted my custom arcade stick to have multiple control options.
@@Wes112 Yeah everyone has their own preferences. I saw an insanely good Japanese player crushing DOJ using a wine glass grip on a lever with his palm facing upward. So yeah, if it works it works!
Greatness awaits 🙏
Good luck on the full Ura 2-ALL clear, amigo!
Thanks! I will need all the luck I can get
You got this man. See you in the reddit clear thread!
