When I was a private nanny I used to make all the babies food from scratch. After I made it I would put them in ice cube trays and freeze them. For each meal I would take a cube from each tray and defrost it. It made things a lot easier, because I would make enough food to last 1 or 2 weeks. Doing their food this way was helpful, because I was responsible for twins who were 7 months old. Stay Blessed 💜.
Just wanted to drop a quick line and let you know your entire family is dearly loved. It is fun seeing you guys operate and dance around life. Have a nice week!
I love how much Elijah enjoys the swing. My parents house had hooks for a swing for the doorway to my brother's bedroom but when I was young they would put a swing in the door for me and I think I loved it as much as he does.
I just love ❤️ the simple joys 😊 that your family shares on your blog. Those cookies look delicious 😋...inspired me to bake cookies for my family tomorrow. Enjoy your sweet precious baby. Elijah is a honey! 🥰
Roasted Beets are yummy and sweet potatoes wash cube drizzle avocado oil wrap in foil & bake until soft open and roast in hot oven. I leave it a little less soft and add to a chef salad 🥗
Your very ambitious with your cooking. I think Elijah's very happy with his tasty meals. This week I made chicken and cheese enchilada with left over chicken. Thanks for sharing your day God bless.
not sure if you know this already, simmering veggies on low heat can keep the nutrients intact. you’re welcome 😉 I love watching you cook it inspires me to cook too & try new dishes like the tacos you all make sometimes!
Instant pot! Beets, porridge, peppers. I don't know why anyone would stand stirring a pot when they have a magical device to do it for them. You can do pot in pot delay start overnight oats so it's ready when you want it in the morning and it's creamier in the IP
I eat oats sometimes. Steal it only but I boil them in water mixed with milk and add cranberries and walnuts or pecans. Brown sugar. 👍 Kisses to ollie.
Big lots! They carry all of the All brand line!!! And a SIGNIFICANTLY lower price!!! I get the All brand of Oxy clean powder, too, and it takes out most stains and smells in the laundry, as well as works a lot better (imo) than the name brand oxy clean in terms of cleaning spots in the house! And we can only ever find it at Big Lots.
Awesome, Went to see my brother about ordering a hoodie, but he was at work.I will try to text on telegram.I don't know how it works but will talk to him tomorrow.❤️❤️❤️
I like my steel cut oats in a jar with blueberries and chocolate almond milk overnight in the frig. In the morning I add peanut butter and honey or Nutella. On cold mornings I'll put the jar in the microwave for a minute to warm it up. It's been forever to hear or see someone using lard. Let us know now your pie crust comes out. You will also want to make biscuits using lard.
When something you use is available for a great price, I have found it pays to grab 2-3 or 4. Prepare your beans in the Instant Pot. The cook quicker under pressure.
Wow, I didn't think 12 years later that the sight of prunes would make me shiver. My youngest was under weight and constipated at her 4 month checkup. Her Dr said she needed to start solids and instead of rice cereal, I should try prunes then prunes with rice cereal. She had so many upset stomach episodes in 4 days, she got the worst case of diaper rash I had ever seen. I brought her back, handed her to the pediatrician and said "you broke her you buy her!". I had 4 kiddos with sensitive skin so I was used to it but this was bad. Ended up getting cream for 2nd degree burns. Ugh!
Mary , Walmart has Gerber baby grain and grow puffs like banana blueberry a goid amount size container around $2. Their really great for like car rides. Their very healthy snacks. The oatmeal with some applesauce would be good for Elijah. Just some ideas. Groceries are so expensive and it's way healthier to make the baby's food.
Try steel cut oats in the instant pot! 1 cup oats to 3 cups water for 10 minutes. No need to add anything else. It reheats in the microwave very nicely too!
Steel cut oats sounds a bit harsh for Eli's baby digestive tract. And 100 new foods before he's 1 years old; what's the hurry? That's an awful lot of abrupt changes for a new baby's digestive system just being introduced to solids. Mary's trying to get Elijah to walk before crawling; to feed himself with a spoon when he didn't even know what a spoon was.. and now a 100 foods before 1? A few new foods a month would be sufficient. It seems like Mary wants Elijah to grow up too fast. Disturbing.. Maybe Mary just needs to educate herself more about the progression of a new baby.
@@SweetThing Baby led weaning is very common. Its a very controlled exposure to common foods. I know we used it with great results. And she wasn’t MAKING himself feed himself. Its all about exploring foods and letting your child have some autonomy. I don’t think Mary or Peter want anything other than the absolute best for E. or to “rush” him.
@@carolynkennedy1083 - like I said, 100 foods in a year (when a baby normally starts solids anywhere from 4-6 months) is excessive and steel cut oats are a harsh food to start a baby in his first year. I know about baby led weaning; it is not very common in the US; it may be in the UK, but not here; and it doesn't necessarily incorporate One Hundred different foods in a 6-month period of time. That is excessive and unnecessary for a baby's healthy development. Baby led weaning works only for a baby who's at least 6 months old and capable of self-feeding. Mary didn't introduce a baby spoon to Elijah & show him how to use it; she put it on his bowl. A baby needs to be taught how to use utensils if you're going to expect him to use them. I wasn't talking about baby led weaning. Autonomy? We're talking about a baby here; not a teen-ager. Baby-led weaning allows babies to learn how to chew (or more accurately, gum) first, then swallow. Everything in steps. LIke I said, a baby learns to crawl, then walk; you don't skip the crawling because a baby's muscles aren't able to hold his weight yet. All in Good Time. Like I said: what's the hurry for him to grow up? Maybe they're just a little impatient.
My sister and I both love oatmeal. We got kick out of cling it gruel when we were children. I watched a recent Tasting History video and it pretty much is gruel. I like mine with raisins and/or chopped apples a bit of cream or milk so good. My sister always liked to dip oven made buttered toast or cinnamon toast into hers. I usually just had my "gruel" without toast. lol.
You are lucky with tomato products. My two daughters had to stay away from them the first few years of life. Okay now. They broke out so terribly. Go Elijah!
This brought back some pre Eli days.. remember the year of the mushroom. When you said Eli likes them I was thinking.. what about mom and dad?? Also, my daughter just turned one and the steaming of the peppers is insane!! Like the idea of trying them pickled instead!!

They truly are an amazing, beautiful family .
Who else thinks Mary should make a recipe book ?? I would buy it🥰
Yes! 😃👍🙏💛
Elijah has the cutest little belly laugh he is such a cutie 💓
Babies laugh and smiles at the weird sounds elders make. My baby niece does same.
I love oatmeal and brownie cookies with Reese’s pieces! You do such a great job feeding your beautiful baby!
I love how much Elijah enjoys the swing. My parents house had hooks for a swing for the doorway to my brother's bedroom but when I was young they would put a swing in the door for me and I think I loved it as much as he does.
I loved the look on Mary's face when the Avocado was missing.

I use ECOS. Love it.

I just love you all!
I love my steel cut oats with sweetened condensed milk and spread on buttered toast. Sooo delicious!
Cook your beets in the instant pot. Less messy. No sprayed beet juice and far faster than in top of the stove
Elijah is growing I can tell,so handsome.
Your very ambitious with your cooking. I think Elijah's very happy with his tasty meals. This week I made chicken and cheese enchilada with left over chicken. Thanks for sharing your day God bless.
Our family also uses All Free and Clear. Love it
Apple sauce is a great replacement for oil and eggs in cakes or cookies.
Steam beets in your instant pot ... perfect and the peel slips right off
Agreed!!!!

Those of us in the UK all shout PORRIGE OATS lol lol

You found all free and clear! You gotta go pick up a few more. Way to find it. :)

Try the steel cut oats in your instant pot… just 10 minutes of pressure!
I saw a "I choose joy" label on a car from you guys today. Well I WAS at CF clinic

Yes, it seems like a very harsh food to give a baby for their first introduction into solids!
Bubly is good. Elijah is getting so big.
Your vlogs are so enjoyable
This was fun!
I might have to make those cookies now. They look so yummy!
If you roast your beets in the instant pot they are much easier and quicker to make and they taste DELIGHTFUL!
Do share your chili recipe, Peter! ❤ u guys!
Loved Knorpp & South’s pie month ... my absolute favorite was the Cinnamon Pie
I love to sauté an apple or two with cinnamon and add them into the oats with a drizzle or two or three 😂 of maple syrup! Very yummy!
Thanks for being my after Guides treat xxxxx
Those cookies looked good 👍. My husband made a homemade apple 🍎 pie w crust from scratch so yummie

My babies love those Gerber puffs! And they are soft and dissolve easily, so no choking. And when your baby is teething, they're extra good!
@@SweetThing Yes !! The grandbabies love them.
You can do Beets and Steal Oats in the Instant Pot...fast and easy😊
Pickled beets with cottage cheese! Soooo good. Just try it.

Roasted beets are like candy!! Takes less time than boiling. Drizzle with olive oil.
I love steel cut oats great video
Elijah is trying fabulous food. Eggplant 🍆 is my favorite vegetable. 😘
Lard makes the best crust ever. Just lard, unbleached flour, salt, and ice water. 👌🏻❤️
You are lucky with tomato products. My two daughters had to stay away from them the first few years of life. Okay now. They broke out so terribly. Go Elijah!
So did my nephew but he absolutely loved them. His little cheeks would get red when he ate.
Try baking your beets to soften them, like a potato

Hi Mary and peter
Steel cut oats looks like my breakfast porridge . 😋
I add fruit but almost anything can be added - honey or jam, or cinnamon. Yum
I roast the beets instead of boil them
And where is harry
Pickled beets 🤮 😜😂
