Just heard this playing in the credit sequence of episode 5 of Dexter: New Blood! I've known of this band for a while now, but somehow, I hadn't heard this song before! Michael is such an incredibly talented man. He's nailed every single role he's ever gotten, and everything he touches seems to glow. I've never seen him fail at anything!! Yet another masterpiece. Thank you Mr. Hall!

THIS is why I can't stand when people only relate this man to Dexter. Yes, Dexter was an amazing show, probably my all time favorite. Top 3 for sure. However, Michael C. Hall is sooooooo much more than just that one legendary character. The man can do anything.

I am constantly torn between getting the Dexter references and being slightly annoyed at them because yes, Michael C. Hall is more than Dexter. Way more.
Still, he's kinda luckier in that regard than Rowan Atkinson, who is an amazing dramatic actor, a professional car racer and a Mr. Bean for all of eternity.

Pretty shocked he’s this good. I had no idea he got into music and started a band. Makes me happy to see you can whatever you want at any age just because you love it. We put people into one set thing(like acting) and don’t see the other passions they have besides what we have seen before from them.

That's because most people are stuck in their little bubble of comfort and they think that they have everything and everyone figured out but the fact is most of us don't have much figured out at all! There are things that exist in this world like certain creatures for example that everyone thinks are just fairy tales but actually exist right beside us at any given moment and we don't even know they're there were so blind in thinking that we know everything that we actually know nothing!! My dog has cancer.. I'm scared about losing him every day.. he's doing really well right now, responding to chemo, but oh my God.. I'm so scared of losing my companion.. he's my best friend, my boy, my everything.. he doesn't deserve just a post that won't accomplish anything except get all of this somewhat off my chest, he deserves to live cancer free, and not feel sick, and not have to go through treatment that also makes him sick, he deserves to live forever and have it all.. this world is so fucked up and unfair, I hate it. God, if you're there and listening, please, do something about the suffering of this broken world.
At first I found it a really entertaining thought that this man I’ve watched for years as dexter would be in a band. And now I’m completely in love and don’t even associate dexter in anyway. Beautiful, extremely beautiful. Great job guys 🥰

Yeah, there's a lot to unpack here. On top of that, artist interpretation. and the lyrics were written by one person and the video was probably another person(s). I'd read the lyrics over a few times, even make notes. I'm not saying anyone will completely understand it but it's helped me. Looking for (repeated, odd, unusual-quiet, loud, drawn out...) phrases or classical imagery is often a good hint where the artists mind may have been. And lastly, the song is titled ketamine, so, yeah.. I'm willing to bet there's something behind this though.

The choice of collective words...Then the visual we are given. This is true art. A wonderful masterpiece in its own. I listen to this song on repeat. And have seen the video multiple times. This band has not yet received the proper recognition. I can't wait for more.

Never knew he graduated from the college up the street from where I used to work in 94! 💜 6 Feet Under is awesome too. A lot of people don't know that him and Deb used to be married, and he's a cancer survivor! 💜💜
Sweetie you are a little late to the fan club, lol. Loyal MCH fans have known for years just how good he is as an actor before 6Feet Under then Dexter coming down with H. Lymphoma during Season 4, then staring on Broadway in Lazarus, to singing as a band mate of the band Princess going to the Butterfly Museum and along with that staring in the additional miniseries of Dexter:New Blood now in November 2021. MCH is and has been extremely multi talented!!! Cannot wait to see what he has coming up next. Everything he touches turns to Gold!!

Absolutely mesmerizing. The creation of the dark freedom as told in the video coupled with the uncomfortable relaxation in the music. I am completely transfixed. Most music videos are made to provide a visual framework for a song but these two elements are wholly successful individually. I like chocolate ice cream. And I like marshmallow. Put them together and you have Ben and Jerry’s phish food…a combination that serves only to enhance the awesomeness of the individual parts. This is art.

I knew he could sing cause I saw him on broadway and knew about his shows there, but it wasn''t until I finally saw New Blood that I came across his band. I can't get enough of them! His voice is so unique and at times reminds me of Bowie and its amazing.
I wish more of their songs sounded like this one...his voice is as haunting as the music.
