- I installed a Terraria mod that spawns all enemies twice, including bosses.

I'm so glad that 1.4.4 made plantera significantly harder to despawn, because the fact she does even if she's so close to the screen that you can see her tentacles is downright infuriating.
Plantera and Queen Bee have quite a similar reason as of why they attack the player.
However for some unknown reason Plantera cares far less than Queen Bee.
I'm pretty sure if you're too far away from the bulb when it gets destroyed Plantera won't even spawn.
They nerfed her despawning so hard that she followed me to my base when I died, I was thousands of tiles away

Reminds me of the bug where the scraggler would despawn when you left and rejoined the game. That got so annoying having to wait like 5 minutes for him to come back so I could buy more ammo for my scragblaster

The funny thing is is this is probably how the world of Terraria sees them, a never-ending cosmic infection
according to the terraria bestiary, they have the same attack power as crawltipedes.
you can basically do a "regrow farm" similar to BTD even with vanilla star cells

The Box of Flesh war a far better fight. Being trapped between two WoFs made it so you have to carefully manipulate their speeds meanwhile the third one acted as a timer. This is FAR better
Sadly, it did expand too much if you damaged the right one - I think it'd be cool if the left one's speed was determined by the right one + some calculation based on the difference between their health, such that if you damaged the right one too much the left would speed up a LOT so the room closes in

I definitely think *this* is what Legendary WoF should've been as opposed to just spawning stronger versions of Imps and basically just mimicking the second phase of Legendary Skeletron, it would've been sick!
I mean, there'd have to be some reworking to attach them both to the same health bar, but still!

My guess on why Plantera kept despawning is probably not distance related, I imagine theres some sort of Entity limit that was hit and to fix it it "clears" the earliest spawned entities, being the three Planteras
I think that's just how it was in that version of the game, it was *heavily* patched in 1.4.4!
And my reason, aside from the patch, that I think so is that when enemies or projectiles reach the game's spawn cap, it usually prohibits more from spawning, which is how a lot of exploits are carried out with entirely removing the projectile spawns of bosses or stopping enemies like the Dungeon Guardian from spawning

No when the entity limit is reached it doesn't despawn the earliest entities spawned it just doesn't let any more entities spawn in hence why the duck statue glitch worked so well in 1.3. So in this situation it wouldn't despawn the plantera it just won't let more tentacles spawn.

32:00 Oh God. The Stardust Cells are literally a Hydra. Cut off one head, and 6 more take its place. That gradually accumulating swarm was one of the scariest things I've ever seen in this game. Definitely worth making into a boss of some kind!

The wall of flesh fight was really cool, the one on the far right side of the map is more like a timer while you need to defeat the 2 closer ones before it reaches you.

Well, If you summon multiple with the hero's mod. For the most part, the game gets confused and only shows 1bar at a time (unless it's the twins or moon lord).
Fun fact: inferno potions automatically destroy all magic npc projectiles like from the casters and fire imps

That's actually a really cool idea for the Wall...Make it so you have a wall on either side of you, sharing a HP bar, and instead of speeding up they close in on you from either side as they lose HP, and you could have a pretty interesting variation on the boss fight
Also, idk if it exists in tModLoader offhand but the Grey Zapinator would *wreck* this Wall fight lmao.

@@GraniteGolem not really, there is/was an item called zapinator in the 3ds version, and it was removed in an update after the desktop version released
Each golem had three heads, which tripled to nine the next stage, so a total of 27. And seeing Plantera transform, I really wanted there to be a rocket launcher available for that fight.
I like how an eye with a few metal parts, can deal more damage then a gigantic metal worm ramming yer arse
i think the life drain would’ve been a really good weapon to use thanks to its infinite pierce and sustainability scaling with the amount of enemies hit
9:12 im pretty sure the first basic chest at the start of a dungeon can replace the muramasa chest, not too sure why it had both cobalt shield and shadow key tho

that doubled wall of flesh fight honestly seemed really cool!! make both of them share a health bar and balance out the health amount (and lower the hungry amounts LMAO) and i think you have a really fun boss on your hands! pretty much removes being able to cheese it by running super far away since there's, y'know, another wall

I've spawned Bees in an empty hive and it usually takes a moment for her to get to me. Since I have unexplored hives, I kinda just assumed she spawns there goes "wait wrong address" and B-lines it to me, don't know anything about coding so idk

Just from the premise duke fishron sounds like hell.
3 fishrons each throwing 6 tornado spawners each spawning 3 tornadoes each tripling the number of sharkrons.
That's 164x the number of sharkrons
The Sharknado/Cthulunado spawners are projectiles, not NPCs
So that would only be 3 Sharknadoes or 6 Cthulunadoes, or 54 times the number of Sharkrons. Even if the spawners were NPCs, though, it would actually be 162 times more, not 164.

yep you can see it very clearly at around 13:20 where there's an extra set of magic bolts spawning on the left from no source
actually maybe it's just the destroyable projectiles like water spheres? idk
@@connortg5 yep, it is just destroyable projectiles. its because those kinds of projectiles (chaos spheres, water spheres, fireballs, etc) are handled as NPCs, meaning that they would be tripled like any other enemy. meanwhile the tornado spawners are handled just like weapon projectiles, meaning they (and most projectiles) are unaffected by the mod.

bruh alien queens are easy, in general the vortex pillar is strangely easy compared to the other ones lol (I've played all 4 classes on Master Mode so I believe I can have that opinion)

Plot twist: Gungnir didn't set it to 3x because it was too easy, but rather because he wanted more money through gold critters
Props to the mod for arranging those boss healthbars that way because it looks soooo nice
I would have loved to see the Old One's Army event tbh. I imagine it being one of the hardest things because of the crowd control required. Once three Betsy spawn, it might become impossible before the crystal breaks tho.

The reason the chest in the dungeon spawned the shield and key is bc you found a wooden chest, which reset the muramasa to a random other chest, because the first chest was a wood chest with a gold key in it.
I gotta say, the technicalities really added a lot to this challenge. Just having 3x enemy spawns would have been enough. But finding out that destructible projectiles also count as enemies, so they're also tripled, AND they spawn from both sides? That's just nightmarish. I respect the courage it must have taken to undergo this challenge. Well played!
I think the reason that the third queen bee might have had trouble spawning at the beginning of the fight was because of the mob cap in Terraria. They spawn a lot of bees, and there is a lot of mobs in the jungle, so it could've just been capped out until you killed a bee or two.

Tip:
Deerclops has an attack cycle. It is always forward>forward>around in a loop.
As it also has no contact damage, and never do the big ice fling if you are below or on the same (y) level as them, you can just run around it and avoid only the shadow hands, running through it twice and away from it once. Makes the fight so, so much easier, and isnt all that difficult or complex to set up.
So now I can scream to the WoF's face "HOW DOES THAT FEEL HUH?!?!"
Nice surprise this challenge. The WoF fight was actually really cool with 2 walls blocking you in, the third one was a bit too much though.

If you want an idea for a challenge, I think it would be cool to play where you have to fight all bosses in their enraged state. Since some bosses don't have an enraged state, you would need some type of mod to do it but it would be a fun challenge and very entertaining.
I'm going to come up with ideas for what each bosses enraged state would be
For Eye of Cthulu it could have its servants charge at you as well, or greater knockback from getting hit by a servant while reducing knockback servants take. Increasing the number of servants spawned from first phase and giving first phase Eye of Cthulu a rapid charge could be interesting
For King Slime maybe he could spawn crystallized slimes which give the slimes around it a jump/speed buff, and these would have defense and health equal to pinky
Eater of worlds could have a charge attack, which would deal decreased damage but a significant increase in speed and projectiles shot
Brain of Cthulu could have its eyes shoot crimson spit at the player to decrease their defense, and remove the brain's icon from the minimap could provide an increase in challenge
I'm out of ideas now

i found this mod where it turns every projectile into a homing projectile, it would be an amazing video tbh. i found out the best item to use with it is the north pole, and the most cursed items are the nimbus rod and dark staff.

I realized very early on that it is likely that the Wall of Flesh will spawn in 4 times. Each time the Guide dies the Wall of Flesh spawns in twice due to the mod, but also because of the mod there will be 2 Guides. That's gonna be interesting, and if I'm right I'm gonna be so proud of myself.

You've got some crazy skill to actually do this
The reason the first locked gold chest was a cobalt shield, was because the first chest in the dungeon was above a certain layer, making it a wooden chest instead
If the first chest in the dungeon is a normal chest (a wooden one) then that would’ve been the Muramasa chest. However, as the chest you opened contained a shield, it must’ve been the second or third chest in total in the dungeon. While it was probably the first gold chest, any chest counts towards the total.
That Wall of Flesh fight was the scariest fucking thing I've ever seen in Terraria. It truly lived up to the feeling of dread that's supposed to accompany that boss.

One time I was in expert mode, and every time I tried to kill EOC I failed. One night, I get the spawn notification, but it wasnt spawning. So, I used my crafted summon. About 5 seconds later, the natural one spawned. And, somehow, I STILL won. The fact that you could defeat the sextuplet triangle was even cooler though.

Honestly projectiles being NPC's is hilarious, I'm not sure if thats commonplace or effective in coding but the idea of bullets having implied sentience is funny and makes me enjoy the game a little more
