- Officials provided an update Friday afternoon after a car crashed into a Long Island nail salon, killing four people and injuring nine. CBS New York's Carolyn Gusoff reports.
Why bother even having a press conference if every answer is "not sure" or "under investigation".

I used to go to this salon these people are very nice. I hope that the employees made it. I just saw the man that works there this week. RIP for the ones that didn't survive. I just can't see how this happened to a small off the street strip mall. WS there damage to the liquor store next door. How are they doing. All there customers are in shock.

I live in that general area and I'm hearing rumors online from people who swear the guy drove his car into the nail salon on purpose.
God Bless the survivors and I am praying they make a complete recovery. My deepest sympathies for those who lost their lives so needlessly.

Sadly 1 of the deceased was my x co worker at the hospital in Manhattan. She left the hospital to go to the police academy. She became a police and also married a police officer in 2023. RIP Amelia. Such a beautiful kind fun person. 😢

Tragic. The driver was either under the influence;and if do, should have never been driving; or a medical emergency.

Why didn't media ssk if it was a ai controlled mini van otherwise it was intentional. You had to steer left and square up with salon to get straight hit at high speed. Could have veered right and missed the buildings

And, keep in mind that they are the ones with the skills to keep people alive, if at all possible.
