this is a great series, looks phenomenal. the disengage mechanic was a really nice touch. also, do you have a tutorial on how to do leading while aiming? I'm currently working on a tower defense game where enemies follow a set path, and I'd like to have the turrets aim their projectiles toward where the enemies will be rather than lagging behind.
Thanks for watching! I don't have a video up yet on that, but the concept is called "dead reckoning". This might help you find a tutorial in the mean time. I'll plan a video on it soon. You're not the first to ask about it.
I found a pretty good explanation for it online. It basically treated the bullet as an expanding circle centered on the turret whose radius expands at the speed of the bullet, and calculated the intersection point with the target using vectors. It works pretty well, though it sometimes misses (maybe due to rough collisions? not too sure. looks like it misses by a hair when it does). Thanks for the help! Wouldn't mind a video explaining it further though lol
Hi, I'm afraid Shaun in too cool for me XD He hasn't reached out. However, of the GM superstars I've made contact with Benjamin from HeartBeast - he's a cool guy. I was wondering the same about Making Games 101. I can't find his channel anymore, or it was renamed?
GravityShift Games Sweet Heartbeast is cool too. I enjoy watching all you guys! I miss Jonti for sure. Can you add loot drops to this game? Like maybe upgrades that increase fire rate or maybe elemental ammo?
Now we can whiz on past our enemies. Subscribe for more ua-cam.com/channels/AumdO1yv-di4fI6IZQIy3Q.html
Sound is much better now :) thank you :)
Excellent! Thanks for confirming :)

Glad you enjoyed it!
These are fantastic, thank you so much
You are so welcome!
This is a fun tutorial. Do you ever hang out with Shaun Spaulding. Also do you know what ever happened to Jonti with Making Games 101?
