Dayum those look fantastic. And professional. I knew a guy back in the day painting wheels for 400 a set. They looked terrible. Not because of the finish, because they were glossy. Love that you took the time to get matte clear.
@@BodeVision when i did some powder coating we used to always hang them on a hook through the valve also depending on the colour some we did hot but we found the valve was the best for conductivity and moving them around we also shot blasted them first because you can't powder on paint. they look wicked.

Me personally I think Josh should go with an oe style black housing headlight it would look really nice with that black grill and white paint. It just seems like the car needs a bit of contrast there.

I’m glad I’m not the only person crazy enough to strip down their Volks and reimagine them... was curious... did you do anything to cover the authenticity stickers or did you say screw it I know they are the real deal
If you're going to use rattle can at the very least use real automotive paint in cans. A reputable paint store can mix the actual automotive paint and put them in cans for you. You can buy 2k clear also. Those act just like auto paint and can be sanded, cut and buffed. So sprayer or compressor needed. In that case you treat it just like you're painting a car or wheels in a booth. If you're using regular rattle can like Krylon, or Rust-Oleum then just like he said, you wipe off, and spray again. Or wait till it's cured, sand and repeat.

yes if the clear coat is separate. if the clear is broken down all the way to the color this wont work.

I read that those wheels are anodized and paint will not adhere well.
