Definitely want to mount that closer to your vents exit
Just a tip - you want the fan to be further from the laser. You want the fan to be pulling the air out of the laser rather than pushing it to the exit.
Start large hole saws in reverse, then go forward
Great video i'll be doing this. A little top with the hole saw, start your cut off in reverse and it will score it then when you go forward its much easier and doesn't catch.
Same blower I used with my 60 Watt Yellow and black, does a good job, does an even better job when I open a door to let air in. You might want to swap your 15 and 20 amps, the laser doesn't use hardly anything compared to the compressor.
I just ordered my inline fan, it will arrive today. Thank you for your video it answered a couple of my questions about it. I am excited to start my laser. How is your laser journey so far?

Nice install man. So call me an idiot, but did you just use tape to install the 6" duct elbow? Genuine question, I'm going to be doing all of this soon and just trying to be on top of what I am getting myself into.
You should get a 3-stage carbon filter box to neutralize the caustic fumes before you vent the exhaust to the outside.
Good thing you had your safety glasses on your forehead. Can’t be too careful! Lol

Novice here but why do you need to take out the internal fan? Does it matter since they are blowing in the same direction anyways?
You'll want to remove the stock fan. It will actually block airflow..
I have the Orion 100W laser with Lightburn software. Recently it has started having problems engraving letters. It starts a letter, completes it half way and then jumps to a different place to finish that letter. It does a perfect job cutting/engraving lines moving left to right and front to back. Any idea where my problem is = software of laser?

Are you only using that fan and no air compressor at all? I’m getting mine set up
Hi Whitney, fan only for extraction of smoke. I’ve set up a larger air compressor for the air assist. Make sure you attach a dryer to keep the moisture from your unit!!

Do you have to have the vent hole so high up on the wall? Why couldn't you do it closer to the laser?
Hi Amy, not necessarily, in my case I have my neighbors front porch beside me. So in order to not blow smoke into there direction if it was windy I went higher.
I’ve seen them low medium and high! Hope this helps
Why take the old one out instead of running both in series or just disabling it? Does the old one cause a restriction?

@@BellyUpFishGarage my HVAC guy said a system will only vent as much as the smallest fan. So remove the smaller fan.
Where is the exhaust going to? Outside or just in the inside of the wall?

Just fired up my omt 60 watt and it seems it's exhaust leaks between the factory flanges...
I grabbed some foam tape with the adhesive backing and put it where the gaps were.
Works pretty good!!
@@mericalaser3931 I considered that option. Out of the box I've been quite pleased how it's performed.
