Warrior (Herod) is one of PP's most popular ones, so you've either got a dodgy one or it needs to macerate a bit longer, as they do get better over time. If it smells like a pet shop, Canadian pet shops must be very different to British ones :-) All i all PP do a very good job. Sure there are some not so good, but that's the same with all houses. Definite value for money though - more so if you live in the UK as you won't get all the added charges.
Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts. I will give it more time then. The Prada dupe never improved but the rest are pretty decent!! I hope my Herod improves but am happy to hear that normally it smells great!! ...it seriously smelled like a regular stinky pet store!! 😬😜
@@mariacollettlife I can also agree and say their Herod is great. One of my favourites actually. Maybe once macerated try it on skin. It's the scent trail that smells amazing 🙂
Hey, just an update, mine has definitely gotten better !! It wouldn’t be my favorite but it doesn’t smell like a pet shop anymore!!
The BEST fragrance that Perfume Parlour offers is Dark Yellow Wood, an interpretation of Oud Jaune Intense by Fragrance du Bois. It’s a tropical floral lovers dream. The longevity and projection are both amazing! Love the video Maria!

If you like gourmand scents try Russia oud 1659... Don't let the oud scare you off because it isn't noticeable... Chocolate, cinnamon, amber and a buttery salty caramel

Love your hair in this video Maria! Agreed men just overall love very feminine scents, sweet or oriental or fresh... just has to do with personal preference and familiar/childhood experiences. Although I guess sweet comes up a lot 😄 I usually myself like very sweet and very feminine fragrances too. My bf loves GON, which is super sweet. Lovely video! 🥰

Great video! I have bought some fragrances from perfume parlour but they’re oils. Since I live in the Caribbean, it’s easier to buy oils and make my perfumes. My absolute favorite is the inspiration for Bal d’Afrique by Byredo. I also tried the hypnotic poison, red tobacco by Mancera, and some Frederic Malle fragrances. I also really liked their Pure Poison inspiration. It was an overall good experience 🙂. Thanks again!❤️

@@mariacollettlife I’d be interested in your take on Men’s fragrances! You do a great job talking about perfumes for the ladies, especially noting which ones come across as feminine. I know “smells don’t have gender…”. But, I like to wear masculine smells - barbershop fougeres, raw leather, tobacco, sweat and patchouli. I scanned through your catalog and didn’t see your take on this, but I’d surely “like’” it.

I think a person can wear whatever they want. I’ve had a couple masculine fragrances on my wishlist. That said, I think that perfumes definitely lean masculine or feminine..even unisex usually leans one way or the other. Like, no rules but nevertheless, I think most perceive fragrance in a gender perspective. 😀
I looove their interpretation for Portrayal Woman, Gypsy water, Black Phantom & plum japonais AND White Suede!!

Have you ever tried Elizabeth and James Nirvana Amethyst? I think that you would like that scent it’s Tobacco, Honeysuckle, and Cedar. I’d like to see your review some fragrances from that house.
No but I want that one and bourbon! I have Rose and love it. I don’t like grey at all but do like white and black.

The bronze goddess that tom Ford was behind in the year 2000 or so edp is the version I'm looking for. I wonder if sulfur is like that. The skinscent i have but no matter how much I spray I cannot smell it after 3 min. I'm looking for edp version of the original. If u have extra thought lmk. Thanks:)
I would say that it’s more like the Parfum rather than the skin scent but not like the Tom Ford version.
Perfume Parlour's ' Neroli & Portofino' is absolutely gorgeous ,fresh and very reminiscent of evening walks in the beach in the Mediterranean ..it's lovely.They are now also doing a ' similar' perfume to Lush's ' Karma' ,it's definitely not as heavy as Lush & more daytime ' friendly' because the original is like being in an ashram in 1967 ;) it's very good but obviously isn't as patchouli based as the original so doesn't last as long.
All in all the 10 ml bottles are a great size for really being able to generously test a perfume out over a week or so ...also as a Brit it's so great to see a Perfume Parlour which is a little shop in Leicester doing so well because do many small businesses have gone under because of lockdown for so long.
Forgot to say their copy of Angel is great ,personally I think the dry down is a lot better than the original .
I tried the florabotanica inspiration and I think it’s actually better than the original! The mint comes out more and I love it. Unfortunately, with shipping, duty and exchange, Perfume Parlour is a little less affordable than I had hoped…that said the majority that I have tried are really decent! Even warriors that I didn’t enjoy at first I now love!!! 😀

Here are the ones I got and are a spot on dupes: Noble lady (dupe for Delina), Rays white (dupe for Tom Ford Soleil blanc), My Pascal( dupe for Mon Guerlain by Guerlain but with much better performance), Brillant shine (dupe for Tom ford Metallic), Bean tasty (Feve délicieuse from maison Lancome), Powerful together ( Stonger with you by Armany for men) and Beyond for men (dupe for Ultra male by JPG). You can all safely blind by these as they are truly identical to the real thing especially their oils.
BTW eau de soleil blanc and soleil blanc smell different hence why you didn’t find the PP version similar to your sample. Soleil blanc is a floral with a santal lotion vibe and eau de soleil blanc has citruses notes and smells like the love child of the original eau de soleil blanc and neroli portofino also by TF.

@@mariacollettlife No problem 😉 Perfume Parlours is a hit and miss. I have tried some amazing dupes that beat any clone houses but I have tried some awful ones too. What I love about them is 1) they are cheap 2) they have different sizes 3) they have so many inspired perfumes from designers to niche fragrances 4) they have perfumed oils

@@nataliejohnson6417 I tried the dupe for YSL libre, girl of now shine, idole Lancome, j’adore from Dior and recently miss Dior blooming bouquet and all are perfect dupes. Hope that helps 😊

I bought two oils feom them and actually returned them. They both honestly smelled rancid. I know they are popular so maybe I got an anomaly! Have you tried them?
@@mariacollettlife Oh weird! I've tried 3 oils from them (Jazz club, feve delicieus, and BR540) and they are all really strong. Jazz club was a 100% dupe (I tested both the same day) and I use it to layer with my sweeter fragrances. I wanted to make a larger order but can't find many reviews on youtube :(

Yes, I paid about $20 on I think $178 plus I paid $15 in duty. Maybe I was just under the 100euro?? I’m glad you found the video by searching for Perfume Parlour!! 😀

I recently ordered from Eden Perfumes which is also UK based company, I paid no duty for 50ml bottle, but I am planning to buy more from PP so definitely expecting duty tax:) That helped a lot! What was the Eden perfume one? Is it a dupe house or it’s own thing? I hope you love whatever you order from perfume parlour!!!
It’s a dupe house. I couldn’t find Gucci Envy anywhere else it has been discontinued. I found it in Eden Perfumes (thanks to a reviewer in Fragrantica) It smells the same and has a good lasting power. So happy with my purchase. Perfume Parlour has a Gucci Envy dupe as well, definitely wanna try.
This brand seems like a great deal for Europeans, their prices are quite reasonable. i agree, once you add in all the added costs it's not nearly the same great deal for international customers.
I've been curious about the Spiriteuse Double Vanille as well. I think the only place in Canada that sells the Guerlain private line is Saks, and I believe there is only one in Toronto. I checked online to see if they ship to Canada (there's only an American site) and it seems they don't ship fragrances here. It's waaaaay to pricey to buy blind (or perhaps at all). About $200 is the max I have allowed myself to pay for a fragrance and I'm not sure how much I will ever increase that threshold.
Ya, I don’t want to blind buy on anything too expensive. Honestly, I am over blind buying. If it works out that great but if it doesn’t, it’s a bit like throwing money down the drain!! Have your heard of lucky scent? I think they sell samples...I’m thinking of ordering from them...I don’t mind spending $5 to sniff something that I’m interested in!!
@@mariacollettlife I don’t mind blind buying if the price is fairly low or if it’s something I am pretty darn sure of. I have had a lot of luck with knowing what notes I like and reading reviews. I do sample when I can. I purchase samples from FragranceNet and right from a few brands. I looked at Luckyscent. I find their samples are overpriced. Their’s are less that 1ml and dabber samples. I don’t find those all that helpful when really testing a sample. I want to be able to spray it properly. If they are charging a premium price for a sample at least let us sample it properly. I want to wear it more that once and atomize it.
I've got the PP dupe for Spiritueuse D. Vanille and it's amazing. First I bought a small spray but later bought the largest.

Yes they do!! I’ve mentioned the florabotanica dupe from there as well. It’s really good…more mint than the original but close enough to get the vibe.
ive had a few of these and whilst they are pretty good initial sprays arent very strong, i was thinking , as many made to order, do they get stronger with age ie mature ?
They definitely mature…the inspiration for Herod was terrible at first but then really improved. The longevity on most of mine is just ok.
@@mariacollettlife reading my message it didnt make much sense but you worked it out, thanks for the reply, the f fabulous tom ford rip off is quite good, they call it 'extraordinary' , but overall, mostly the real thing is better, i think id rather have 2 bottles of autehentic than 10 imitations. perhaps, its a tough call. nice video, straightforward and genuine , good luck with your youtube. I enjoy checking them out and for something like lost Cherry, where you are paying $450 for a bottle and the longevity is poor, I will buy a dupe but overall, I prefer the original as well. I think dupes are an excellent option thought if you don’t care whether it’s “the real deal” and just want to explore fragrance 😀
@@mariacollettlife yeah they are worth it, and as for strength and longevity, sometimes one may want to lean towards the more subtle anyway, there really is nothing worse than someone wearing a 'nuclear fragrance' so thank god for these rip off companies, on balance its well worth it. thanks for efforts , and good luck with the 'youtubing' 👍🏻👍🏻

Very difficult in fact pretty useless to comment how close a clone actually is , when you don’t the original to hand to compare ..Sorry but too many fragrances reviewed with too little knowledge and nothing to compare to 🙈pointless
Thank you for your input Allan. I agree that a person can’t weigh in from a dupe perspective if they haven’t tried the original. For some of these, I bought them simply to see what they were like as I wouldn’t purchase the original at this point. As such, I was buying them as stand alone fragrances. Prada la femme, tobacco Vanille, bronze goddess and a few others I have a lot of familiarity with and have those perfumes in hand. I think I made that clear in the video but maybe O didn’t! Anyway, thanks for your thoughts, I will definitely keep it in mind for the future! 😀. I had someone comment on the Herod dupe that it’s actually considered very good, I hated it (again just as a stand alone fragrance) but found that after a month, it’s macerated and way nicer.
horrible products. i did the mistake to order some spray bottles a few short weeks ago and they had so much timbersilk in them to inflate the scent that the perfumes were completely distorted. it was so nauseating you couldn't wear them for ten minutes and i usually prefer strong fragrances but these all had the awful chemical additions to them. a friend owns one of the original scents and we compared them, the difference was night and day, so they're hardly dupes anymore. in addition, they often send products with particles, hairs, gooey growth in them and all kinds of dirty sh*t floating in the bottles. will never order again. they didn't use to be this bad a few years ago.
Wow, that sounds terrible. Mine weren’t like that- they were clean- no gooey stuff or anything like that.
