- VIRTUAL TIP JAR IN DESCRIPTION! I love this track off of the first T-Birds album, "Girls Go Wild" released in 1979. Cool baseline riff that Jimmie doubles up on, and the solo is outta sight! It has that great "Rumba" rhythm.

Thanks Leon...More to come!
Great song from a great album and great lessons!!
So glad you enjoyed the video! And yes a great song from a great album.
Nice lesson Jake! I love the Rumba! Thanks for your work
Thanks so much! Rumba Represent, Yo!
Jake, thank you for these lessons. I will be sure to share this stuff. Great work!
Thanks so much Nik! Appreciate the support.
Jimmie Vaughan's playing on the early Fabulous Thunderbirds was so brilliant....minimalistic compared to the pyrotechnics of his brother but the phrasing was so unique and authentic sounding.
So true! A huge influence on my playing:)
Thanks a lot Jake !! 👍😉
Yeah man!
Thanks Jake, another great Jimmie Vaughan lesson from an incredible album.
Thanks Andrew! Yeah, it's the best:)
This was awesome. I'd love to see you do Full-Time Lover of the same album
Thank you man-great suggestion!
@@JakeAndrewsMusic yeah, it's my favorite song of all time
A very feel-good and uplifting tune Mr. Andrews to help us through these gloomy times. Thank you for uploading and sharing with us. Are you using any effects for the tone-it sounds like a hint of chorus. Looking forward to learning it. Cheers!👍👍
Thanks Keep! Yes, this is a great up-beat tune and a blast to play along with. I'm using a bit of reverb but also picking up the ambient reverb of my room with an additional microphone.
Hard to beat that rhumba beat
True-Love it!
Great Lesson Jake , thanks very much 👍More T-birds please ,there is such a lack of lessons on the Girls Go Wild album.cheers
Thank you so much! I'm going to be teaching the entire album on a lesson package I will be releasing this year. Look out for the announcement on this channel!
Awesome lesson. Thanks!!!! I've met and spoken with Jimmie a few different times at Antones here in Austin and he such a cool guy to talk with.
Thank you Rich! Jimmie is the best. He's been a friend since we met when I was about 7 or 8 years old! Huge influence on my playing.
@@JakeAndrewsMusic funny thing.
I've been subscribed to you for a little while because of your great lessons. Just now realized from your reply that my wife and I have seen you play twice lol. I didn't put it together till just now. Saw you at Antones with Josh Smith and with Gary Clark Jr. At Moody Theater. You killed it both nights man.

Such a fabulous feel-good tune! Many thanks for the great cover and lesson. There are so many great ideas in those very distinctive licks. I've personally always preferred Jimmie's style to his brother (even if like every body else I find Stevie's playing impressive)...
For next Jimmie lesson, could you please do a slow blues? Dengue Woman maybe?
I was influenced a lot more by Jimmie than Stevie when I was young as I knew Jimmie and played a lot with him. Will be glad to get into some of Jimmie's solo stuff soon, thanks!
So cool!
thanks! great info. really nice. you make these videos, i will share them and learn them, then hopefully tou get paid by google tube... we all win! lol
Thank so much!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
What a great tune ,I only really listened to the Thunderbirds from the Tuff Enuff album, looks like I need to go back and visit the first couple of albums. Thanks Jake for the great playing and teaching .
Tuff Enuff era is badass! But you definitely need to listen to their earlier albums to hear where they came from. Great stuff!
Top work again. What next? Why not do full album by the tbirds tacos .
Thanks-actually, I am planning on doing full album lesson "packages" available for download on my website (www.bluesrockguitarlessons.com which is currently being rebuilt). I will be definitely doing T-Birds albums on there! Look for it later this summer.
@@JakeAndrewsMusic I would be very interested as I struggle with these bands music.
Can you do some johnny winter tunes?
Absolutely! What are some of your favorites?
@@JakeAndrewsMusic pretty much anything from him, I'd like to see some covers of his live stuff though.
