@@UAPJedi DB9 is looking its age now, especially next to the DBS. It's still gorgeous, but for me the Maserati hasn't aged at all. Even the earliest cars are just sex on a chassis, with a deep husky, growling voice..
Maserati's GranTurismo may be the most beautiful grand touring vehicle ever built. Yes, I am aware of its shortcomings - i.e. less-than-stellar performance, questionable reliability, somewhat less than cutting-edge electronics technology, etc ... But its lines, and its proportions, and the overall balance of the vehicle is as perfect as I can imagine. Visually, it's a modern day masterpiece.
The car is actually very reliable and very practical. So much so that I use it daily and travel on holidays with family of 4 (including myself) for 2 weeks covering 2.500km! Can also easily drive 750km (800km if you stretch it) on one tank which makes it a true GT. I am talking from 6 years of ownership and more than 120.000km of driving. A quick, fun and visceral driving experience. In short, a very solid car and a true masterpiece from Maserati!

Thanks to your amazing reviews I got myself a 2011 MC Shift and it is incredible. I wanted to upgrade to a 430 or 599 but struggling logically because it does the same job . And the noise is just intoxicating . Driving it in manual mode and going through gears give a satisfaction that nothing else does .
I really enjoyed owning that car but Mrs.M never liked it because it was too noisy! Can't win. Kids were only 14-15 at the time we owned it but have fond memories of it now. Enjoy!

@@simplefact4u Either the 599 or the 458. The 599 is a bit clunky however with that single clutch gearbox, and more expensive in maintenance. The joy and satisfaction is beyond words , and quite frankly put smile on your face always
@@simplefact4u a clutch on this car should easily last 70.000 miles if properly operated and maintained as follows: 1) drive in MANUAL SPORT mode ALL the time. In this Mode gear changes are fastest and clutch slippage lowest during gear change 2) drive away quickly as clutch gets fully engaged at 1.800 rpm - below that it slips which causes wear. From 1.800rpm onwards there is no slippage & thus no wear. 3) during stop and go traffic wait for a few car lengths before driving away so you can rev up until 1.800rpm before coming to a halt 4) never reverse uphill (beyond 3degrees inclination). Uphill reverse is a real clutch burner. If you have to drive away forward uphill avoid stopping once in the move and make sure to keep revs above 1.800rpm 5) change oil from F1 hydraulic pump system every 12.000 miles AND perform the DEIS self-learn procedure after the change This is testament to my personal experience with my car.
