The progression of some of your photos -- especially of the front -- really emphasize how quickly decay sets in. I don't think I've ever fully realized how much work and resources (both financial and human) it takes to keep up with something like this.
I have seen some crazy things in all types of building were nature took over it takes on a life all it's own. Thank you for commenting and for watching.
Great video….however I don’t understand how the home was redone a couple 3/4 times then left to decay after being restored . It’s on the national historical register of historic places and from what is understood of such (I used to be tour guide of one such home ), homes that are put on the register are to be kept in their original condition, restored and made into a museum and or building used for other purposes such as a bed and breakfast or other occasions. This is such a sad display of not wanting to look after such a beautiful place. However reading one other comment that this home will be saved once again…let’s just hope it stays restored and cared for as it should have been the first time it was restored!
The National Register provides no protections and no requirements in usage or upkeep unless, somehow, federal funds are used. Those places that have restrictions are usually mandated by either state or city laws.
@@davidbuchanan5232 Correct David, those listings are an aid to saving important places, but not guarantee in a capitalist real estate world which also hates taxes.
What a lovely looking old home, the pillars give it such a grand entrance. It’s a shame it has fallen into such disrepair as it will cost a fortune to repair all the damage. Stay safe out there!
What stunning architecture! I hope someone saves it. I was kind of surprised that it was not as grand on the inside as it was on the outside. It looks like that's where the original owner spent most of his money.
It saddens me to see that beautiful old home in such ruin. At one time, it was a home filled with love and laughter. But, sadly, nothing last forever. Except God's love.
I’ve been by it twice, I would love to just walk around it but there’s a fence around it with a no trespassing sign. Guess I’ll just have to be content driving by it…
Such a majestic house/home. I'm glad it'll be saved. If walls could talk; the stories would be told. Magnificent! Thank you! 😊
Thank you.
I don't think it's being restored according to the info. It's in another state of disrepair. Upsetting to see these beauties being left to rot. 😞

This mansion reminds me of Belle Grove mansion in Louisiana, which is gone forever.
