I’ve started watercolor again during the pandemic and am so happy to find your channel Karen. Your style is exactly what I like! I now have to paint something every day. I see colors in my sleep and the way I look at shadows and light has changed. Thank you so much for giving us these tutorials.

Thank you so much Karen, your tutorials are wonderful and your type of art is what I love, loose flowers , abstract and would never ever thought that I would like landscape for me, you make art possible for absolute beginners like myself- being an absolute beginner,a non sketcher a non everything. An 86yr old who still makes her Xmas cards was the inspiration for my creativeness to search for me in that world…I made a couple of cards but I wanted something more organic to create those cards and bookmarks to give to family and friends - watercolour is what I chose, whimsical watercolour with doodling, abstract and Loose wc flowers ….I keep a notebook of all of the areas of watercolour that interest along with a wishlist 😊 I have watched several of your videos and am so grateful for your generosity to share these also as tutorials….watching, following and enjoying….with ❤ from New Zealand 🥝

Thank you, Karen. This tutorial was so helpful! I am so impatient and have often started painting when the first layer isn't dry and I have had those disappointing results. I just love watching you and learn so much! I am going to check out your cornflower video now because that is exactly the kind of thing I would like to do. I have photographed so many flowers and fields with the thought in mind to use these photos as inspiration to paint from --- but now I have to learn the proper steps for painting them and when to do the background first or whether I can add a loose sort of blurred depth of field by adding the background afterward.

Just to let you know with almost all of the Daniel Smith water colors the pencil marks underneath can be erased except for a yellow & a red. You could call them to find out which ones they are. I know this becuz I live in Seattle, Washington USA which is where their company is. I've gone to their H2O color workshops with their teachers who have explained this.

Love your tutorials. What water bin are you using? It didn't show on your Amazon page or I didn't look in the correct spot. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Bobbie! Here is the link the the trio waterpot. You can also buy it on Amazon UK: www.jacksonsart.com/jas-stackable-water-pot-trio?___store=jacksonsart_en&acc=51ef186e18dc00c2d31982567235c559. Also one of my student managed to make her own waterpot using a due yogurt container! :)

Just one thing to clear, when you say 300 grams, do you mean weight or thickness (gsm)

Really helpful, thank you. Can you tell me what your 'framing tape' is? I've only found the gummed stuff which won't come off to leave a nice white border.

Thank you Katherine, so pleased you found it helpful. I use framing tape, which is like masking tape, so you can remove it easily for a nice white border. Here are some links: Framing Tape: amzn.to/2QamvmT (US) amzn.to/2wNYo6z (UK). I hope this was helpful :)
