Stan Laurel was lost when his great pal Oliver Hardy died way back in 1957. Stan continued to write scripts for them both, never to be performed of course. He died less than 10 years later, finally reunited again in death. RIP Laurel and Hardy we still laugh with you.
This is probably my favourite clip of Laurel and Hardy. What makes it so good is the disapproving looks from the folks at the table behind them, and the reaction of the singer when he spits out the drink. It only gets better when the magnificent Anita Garvin appears and gives the boys their comeuppance.
Nessun attore di oggi è in grado di soltanto avvicinare la mimica facciale di Stan Laurel... è un qualcosa di meraviglioso, altrettanto così come le espressioni di Oliver Hardy. Attuali, esilaranti! Geni assoluti e immortali..!
@@thehomefront1905 Eh? Hal Roach made this in 1930, not in 1962, when 'talkies' were still pretty novel. I went to Ghana 15 years ago to marry my Ghanaian wife and took 3 laurel and hardy DVDs she had 2 children along with other kids they watched the movies and all I could hear were howls of laughter
I don't know how many times I've watched this in my 60 years and they still fold me over. From looking at my dad rolling off the sofa pissing himself laughing in the early 70s and being amazed because he never laughed so hard at anything, to just recently watching them ending up with a mule on a balcony as my grandson shrieks with joy. These two are like Shakespeare or Beethoven, a testament for the ages to what humanity can create at its best.
I used to watch these two brilliant comedians when I was little. I think it's a crying shame that their work is shown less these days. But it brightens my day to know that your grandson has been introduced to, and clearly loves, their comic brilliance.
@@voxac30withstrat I introduced my kids to these and there was not anything else they ever wanted to watch when they were sat in front of the tv. This is timeless comedy and generations to come will still be watching them.
No matter how old they get, L&H will always be the greatest comedians. Simple to no props, Stans hilarious laugh and Ollie's pompous gestures. Wonderful, fun and innocent humour that is as fresh today as it was then. God bless them both.
7:15 That's exactly how Stan Laurel cried so bad when Ollie Hardy died on 8/7/1957. He continued crying at the hospital feeling ill and so saddened. And Stan refused to attend his funeral. Oliver Hardy understood.
Great loving memories! As a child growing up I watched Laurel and Hardy every Saturday morning it aired from 6:00a-7:00a in my opinion the very best comedy duo of all time!!! I for one thank you for the video upload.
They both look so young, fortunately, their comedy hasn't aged. The interplay between them is magic, their laughter infectious, even the iced tea, a placebo, making them think (and act) drunk is funny. The greatest double act of all time!
I love these two guys. they still live in our ❤ & memories - (100) years later....🤣😂😃 if you have a bad day just put these two "Lads" on they will cheeeeer' you up.😉

Just complete and utter gold these 2 where. Never again will slapstick comedy be as good as these 2 made it. I can watch these all day long and never get tired of them.
Stan to wife: "We drank your liquor!" Wife to Stan: "That wasn't liquor, that was cold tea!" The immediate response at 11.23 still remains a classic of comedic timing, nine decades later. Sheer brilliance.

Impeccable timing of L&H, as always. Hardy's signature daintiness with his "finger twiddling" preparing the drink 🍸! Laurel getting drunk is perfectly pitched. His laughter is so catchy, one smiles from ear-to-ear. Lol! Love this comedy duo. No duo in history of film or movies have ever matched them. Such mastery in their field. Absolute legends.
Brilliant. I watched the recent movie made about there life together. At the.end when they where in Dublin I cried. They are quite simply the funniest human beings to ever walk the earth

Their escapades were hilarious. This clip was at the top of their best. And I love how the wife shot two times and demolished the horse drawn cab. RIP, guys.
Stan and Oliver: never bettered, never forgotten. What's brilliant about this scene (other than it's masterful execution) is that we have ALL been in a situation where we have been overcome by uncontrollable laughter in enviroments where such would be perceived as socially unacceptable. That's what makes L&H so great... they are so human.
they nailed their scenes always , all movies need their own touch in order to be good , and they did it and had that always , it takes something special to do that , pure movie legends , may they both rest in peace .
