There is a difference between having a knife on your person for protection, and having the general public know you have it, so that they can say you needed time to put them down. Again, "them?" doesn't make sense. No vets should be homeless, but that shouldn't enter into what seems to be a brandishing of a weapon charge.

That woman eyewitness really spun a story. Surveillance video was shown on another news outlet leading up to the shooting. He wasn’t out his knives down and was not listening to police. Also he was not shit at “about 20 times” like she supposedly saw. She’s trying to incite a riot

I have no personal interest in Jehovah's witness'. I have beliefs that differ from them. BUT, I have to say that it is extremely un American and un professional to label someone by their spiritual belief system, when a belief system was not involved in the situation at hand.
IF, it was an argument about religion, and that was stated, it would have context, otherwise, it is reckless slandering of a whole group of people, who on the whole, are among the least to cause any more than an annoyance at your door.
Again, I think they are misguided, but a real member of their group would "go as a sheep among the wolves" if he was seeking new converts, as they tend to do, and not be armed with knives and having a pit bull dog along, (as sweet as they can be when brought up right, and I am around two that were)
