    I like 100oz. I want at least 10 of them. It will be closest I get to a comex. One down, Scottsdale, and 9 to go.

    In my city 100oz. bars are very easy to sell to bullion dealers, never had a problem. I also find out some not all stackers that say buying too much at once are people that can't afford it which is fine. I've been able to buy 50oz. a month based on my budget and I got buddies that are buying 3x that much every month. You got some awesome bars there!!

      So, most of the silver in my stack is higher premium stuff, that makes lcs dealers say some shit like "Silver is just silver" before they lowball ya... when this happens, U pull out the hundo 🍆😳 & hit em with it. The 100oz is like the moat to ur castle, the first line of defense. The premium is so low, it's good when U buy them. Never sell to a pawn shop ! They are there when you have lost your job, have 4 kids at home that need food and your rent is due. I experimented with a local pawn shop here in northern Az and they offered $800 for a 1 oz gold eagle. Gold was $1800 an ounce at the time. They prey on your need of money. LCS is the way to go ! Our local shop here in town is extremely fair and honest. Stay away from most if not all pawn shops unless your buying. You will probably get a better deal because of the way the broke guy gave his gold and silver away.

    I find Buying and Selling 100 oz. Silver bars to be no more difficult than selling 2 oz. of Gold. Silver seems to be in far higher demand here than Gold. But if your LCS can't handle a transaction over 10K, you should trade with one than can. Understand that you should always call ahead on any transaction 3K buying or selling.

    There are regulations in a lot of states that require dealers to hold bullion in the LEADS system for 30 days when buying. Sovereign silver doesn't have that restriction. This could lead to lower return, less interest. Just my 2c.

    • @StephensVault
      @StephensVault  3 роки тому

      Havent heard of that for bullion. Jewelry and items like that yes, but usually bullion is deemed "un-unique) and is not held in most of the us for dealers. After all if my 100oz Sunshine bar got stolen and I reported it there would be literally no way to tell if the one in the pawnshop was mine.

    • @rewtdawg9852
      @rewtdawg9852 3 роки тому

      @@StephensVault I think the idea is to capture the sellers name and ID etc. If 300oz shows up missing and 200oz of similar shows up they can at least start an investigation. Also there are tax additional tax implications for bullion in Florida from what I've heard. IE no tax on sovereign sales.

    If your a true collector you will get them in all different sizes. Coins and bars. Especially if you have the money. And for people that fear you cant split a large bar in a shtf scenario do they not realize that those bars arent the only thing you would have stacked. In essence just like people use to have cash for larger purchases and use coins for the smaller stuff. Large bars would be for big stuff like hey ill give you a few 100 oz silver bars worth the same value as your car and one extra for your troubles. Or hey i just need these 30 dollars in groceries heres a silver coin or 2. You would use both. Although i never see it ever coming to that. If you were to realistically look at it you need both for that plan to work in that way.

    Really enjoy your videos. I am up in the air about stacking. Some things that hold me back are the up and down charts of price. I don’t understand how or who determines the price per oz. and why does it fluctuate so many times each day. Another thing I don’t understand is why can’t I buy plain silver coins without a design on them. For example, is it just a label thrown on a pair of jeans that makes one pair cost more than another? I hope you can help me decide whether I should start stacking. All I know that now the prices for everything has gone up so maybe now is not the time to buy. Oh and to answer your question, yes I think your a crazy genius.

      You stack to preserve your wealth, not to get rich. However if true price discovery ever happens (possibly 2030) you should be looking at $1000 an ounce silver. The comex is what holds the price down artificially to keep people in fiat. A lot of things happening these days, at the very least you should start stacking ounces for insurance. World is getting crazier everyday.

    A few dealers I talked to, here in North East, point blank told me they are paying and would rather have more 10 oz bars, rather than 100 oz bars. Same as Gold... they would rather have fractionals than full oz. Big bars are certainly cheaper per oz... but definitely not the ideal.

    i cant justify buying any peices over 10 oz at the moment because i can find 1-10 oz peices at the same price as kilos and 100 oz bars per oz. Also if silver spikes too much it could have more tax implications if you have to resell to a dealer and they are less liquid on the secondary market than smaller peices from the point of an individual seller trying to sell on kijiji. I still want a vintage 100 oz RCM bar but i dont mind waiting until i find the right deal.

    • @StephensVault
      @StephensVault  3 роки тому +1

      We'd have to spike up to $100 a oz for it to have possible tax reporting. But on the private market it is harder to sell if you want a premium. But most people who own metal plan to take it to a shop or dealer for their exit strategy and in that instance it'll most likely be same as liquidating 10x 10oz bars

    too expensive? traded $140 FV junk silver for a 100 oz (BU) Sunshine Minting bar at my LCS, and got back change. (my quarter rolls were purchased at $100 each and dimes were purchased at $50/roll). For those of us old enough to remember yellow page phone books, "let your fingers do the walking", i called 5 different LCS's to see what they are paying for 100 oz bars. I mean a 100oz bar is a 100oz bar. You might have overpaid for it but it's still 100ozs of silver. "cool" bars could be worth a bit more but 90% of the value is in the silver so definitely wouldn't be something I'd give away. That's like buying a lambo and thinking it's junk because you got it in a bad color

      A coin shop will typically buy a 1oz round and a 100oz bar at the same price per oz. But you will pay alot more per oz for 1 oz rounds. So as I stated if you plan to sell it back to a shop a 100oz bar is a better investment

  • @champstar9669
    @champstar9669 2 роки тому

    If you sell anything at a discount, then of course it's easy to sell. Under spot?!? The positive for 100oz bars (low premium) is also the NEGATIVE. Whether buying or selling, there is a low premium BOTH ways. So there is no advantage to owning such an item. Might as well have 1oz rounds or gov't silver. The liquidity and ease of use for trade is better for 1oz items. I would say the only advantage for 100oz bars would be space & inventory management for someone wanting to stack 10,000+oz of silver. No silver is "bad" to own, but 100oz bars do not offer any significant advantages. Owning 1 or 2 max is fine. More than that is a bit questionable.

    • @StephensVault
      @StephensVault  2 роки тому +2

      I agree the premiums carry both ways but the premium spread can be less significant. For example, most places you can find a 100oz bar for around $3 over spot, those same places will buy a 100oz for spot right now, some over, some little under. ASEs are being sold by those places at $9-$10 over spot and are being bought from major dealers for $3-$4 over spot. So no matter what spot is, if I bought a 100oz bar and 100 ASEs from most major dealers and then sold them right back to them at the same spot price. I would lose $300-$400 on a 100oz bar but $700 to $800 on ASEs.
