Sean Bean taking the time to show us how to make wine - Thanks! We loved you as Boromir and Ned Stark as well as all the other wonderful film and TV shows you grace us with. ;)
I did some of the exact things you did with that kit. Wish I watched your video before I started but all is going well so far. Started today. Thanks for sharing your video.
No problem, thanks for watching. I loved making it. The wine turned out very good and lasted only a very short time as it was very tasty. Cheers Pierre
nice vid dude, you didn't sanitise the water measuring jug...but cant be any worse than crushing grapes with your feet as was tradition in wine making. :)
Thanks. I sanitized the jug a few times. I just did it mostly off video. Thanks for the heads up. It was good of you to take the time. If it tastes like feet I will very disappointed. Cheers Pierre
Thanks for the advice, I will consider doing that in the future. Thanks you for taking the time to guide me in the right direction. I love this kind of feedback.
You are spot on there, it also binds to proteins in the fluid, Bentonite is negatively charged and will attach to the positively charged particles floating in the fluid thus pulling the end result to the bottom of the carboy as it is heavier than the fluid it self clearing out a lot of particles. Thank you for mentioning this, it is important for wine making. Cheers Pierre😀
I'm looking at some of the winexpert kits that used to have 10 Litres of Grape must reduced to 8 Litres together with image re-branding - Pricing remains the same....tut tut tut
@@SimpleHomeBrew You probably have old stock as their range is changing, check out their facebook page, it was posted there a few months ago and you may also see the new products rolling into your suppliers. facebook.com/watch/?v=1117538375305131
Yep doesn't affect it at all. I use Steller San. It's ratio is 1.5 - 1000. There is no chance for it to make any kind of impact. It is very affective against infection.
I ordered Lodi Ranch 11 cabernet sauvignon California from Winexpert for $179, from their label information it added 10% sugar in this juice, but California state prohibits chaptalization. I will not buy any from this company.
Entertaining, but I tuned in to learn, not watch Forest Gump makes wine on his first time out. Maybe read the directions before starting? Good sound track
Please be aware there is the second part to this video all your answers may be here. ua-cam.com/video/racPPusHz_I/v-deo.html

Thanks for taking the time to watching it. Pierre
Just take specific gravity in the bucket. If you find it easier to use test vessel sanitize it first then dump back in bucket.
You know it's funny you should say that, I did just that for the first time this week. thanks for the advice. Pierre

Benzonite clay powder for binding floating particles together

bentonite is positively charged clay mud!
Somehow I missed the video :( So you got now your own camera crew! Great! Cheers Pierre!
It's good to hear from you Oliver. No camera crew just a friend that wanted to help out. It was fin to do. Thanks for taking a look. Pierre
Bentonite is a type of clay also used for an ingredient of making sand molds for casting metal in a foundry
Thanks for the information Much appreciated. 😀
Niceone mate. That wine should turn out great. Cheerş
Thanks I had fun doing it.
How much are the wine kits.
I believe they range from $70 - $100. Depending where it is purchased from.
Sanitation is good but after handling his hair he puts his hands in the fermenter

Hi I believe they still do the 10 litre kits as i am working on one right now. I think they have a high range of kits that suit different tastes.

San sanitizers are made to stay in and on the equipment. Read a book before u come to be critical!
The positive charge attracts lees
Looks like you just moved in or you spent all your money on that wine kit 😅
